I ended up running a round of errands. We were successful in getting a urine sample from dMillie and it needed to be at vet within four hours. So after the two of us walked her (dh with leash, me with catch plastic) I took off and did a round of errands too. Drugstore re compounded meds for dMillie, shred drop off, post office for HOA, vet's office, bank for HOA deposit. Two more HOA checks here when I got home so I'll start the next deposit lol. And while I was at the vet I scheduled her teeth cleaning.

This afternoon I still need to go by temple, but that will eliminate a lot of the running around later. But I can't believe it's only a little more than an hour until I'll be heading out to my workout.

Did errands today that I should have done yesterday. Picked up 3 prescriptions for dh. I also picked up 2 bottles of soda for dh. Plus I brought compost bin in from the street.

PSW got here just before I got home. She was an hour early. I think she just wants to get her day finished and get home. The country she lived in before she moved here didn't have snow.

I got into the "throw it out" mode. I had on my list for the week that I needed to clean out a drawer/shelf of the pantry and purge it. Someone gives us something and it sits there - or dh buys something on impulse at Costco, then forgets it's there. The drawer was wiped out and the two bins in the front are wiped up and reorganized. He has an unopened Costco size bag of cashews and a open bag of Costco mixed nuts. An open bag of shelled pistachios and an unopened bag, also from Costco. And a bag of pistachios in shells - they've been there a long time opened. And an unopened bag of some kind of Costco organic granola (threw one away recently because it was past it's date) and and unopened bag of Costco Chia and Quinoa chips. So that drawer of the pantry is reorganized and neat. I threw away the old, opened, expired stuff.

Honestly, it felt really good to clean that out!

Whoops, back from workout and didn't post this earlier. And somehow, dh is in there working on his side of our closet.

I am tired. I had a great workout as usual and am feeling just done with the day. DH has gone to bowl. I ate leftover chicken with barbeque sauce and butternut squash and am going to read in bed with the dog.

Success! POTB

I am done with appointments for today. ***big sigh of relief***

We don't have any bad weather happening yet but the cancellations are coming fast and the list is getting long. Most schools & businesses are closed tomorrow. Several churches have already cancelled Sunday services! The 10 day forecast is showing below freezing temps 24 hours a day. Whatever snow/ice we get will not be melting any time soon.

We have 2 appointments in the morning that I think will be able to accomplish before the snowstorm arrives around noonish.

Good afternoon! Or is it evening? If any of you remember the Big Bang episode where Sheldon went on about "preventing," that's what it is. :) Good evening!

My day has been discombobulated. Tuesdays and Thursdays are DC's short days at school -- one class. Normally, I pick them up around 12:15, but they said they had a quiz to take, so they'd let me know when they were ready. I don't do well when I'm on standby; I'm afraid to really get into anything for fear I'll have to drop it or I'll miss when I'm needed. So I didn't hear from them until 2:15, which is 15 minutes after the testing center closes, IIRC. So much of those two hours were spent hemming and hawing. Once I finally did pick DC up, I was able to send DC and DD into the store for me to get ingredients for the French toast casserole I'm making for this month's moms' gathering, which, rather than a girls' night, is going to be a Sunday brunch. I had them get double the ingredients so I could make one for home, too. If the brunch gets canceled, we'll be eating it all week. It's not particularly healthy, but it is tasty! After the store, I went and got gas -- the gas/convenience store I frequent was having a special with their loyalty card -- 25¢ off per gallon for one fill-up. Then I started to post here and got sidetracked again. Now I'm just trying to get a hold on the rest of my day.

If that sounds totally disjointed, so am I.

As for throwing it out, it is trash day here, too. The kids have already gone and collected wastebaskets. I had DC bring me the tote bag that I toss my empty water bottles in -- they put the bottles in the recycling, but I also put things in there that need to be taken downstairs because I can carry that bag downstairs easily, so in theory, I can take my water bottles down myself, along with anything else that has to go down. In practice, DC brings the bag of bottles down and puts them in the recycling, then takes the bag back upstairs, and I don't get the other stuff put away. So now I can get the other stuff out of there -- unless I get sidetracked again.

Stay warm, everyone! Sweet dreams of sunshine and puppies and all the warm things!
