Hi!

Still waiting for pharmacy to text us that dh's antibiotics are ready to be picked up. Earlier dh said he was going to the bank and then he was going to put gas in the truck. I told him my plan for the day was going for gas, going to the bank and then going to pick up prescription and then getting him the yogurt that doctor suggested. Then I said we should do it together. He opted for staying home and letting me do it all.

Then he asked if we could have a big breakfast with bacon and home fries with onions and toast and fried eggs. I said that sounded good to me. We both went to our computers and after a few minutes I got up and started making the breakfast. After we ate dh complimented me on the breakfast and said I didn't have to do all that I do. So I asked him if he would have made the breakfast. He said "eventually"...

I also told him that I want to go to the book store in the city east of us. He told me he didn't want to go. He also asked if I had run out of books... LOL! I think I can wait another week to go because J.D. Robb has a book coming out next week. If I don't go on the Tuesday, they might not have any on the Wednesday.

At this point a visiting nurse isn't required. Doctor told us to let whatever is currently causing the infection (it looks like there is something there, but not really visible) Doctor said to let the antibiotics do their job and not to touch the sore spot, but continue taking a daily picture so he can look at them if things get worse and to keep in touch and he can call us if we need to talk about anything. I was so relieved to know we wouldn't have to go to the hospital.

Anti-procrastination job today will be litter boxes, which are scheduled for today. Dishes I didn't get to yesterday. I did water some of the plants this morning while I was cooking breakfast.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I've rounded (robined?) the master bath and the mud room. I guess I'm taking more time in each room than I assume I will on a round robin - just seeing how I can get a little more done, a little more, etc. It's okay. Kinda like Mystery's DC - while prepared you sort of want to do things then, rather than planning to prepare again.

Before I lose the light, I want to round through the sewing area ;) and be creative for a while.

HRH has agreed that just ordering some groceries for later is fine for now, no reason to rush errands. Of course, tomorrow may be a different story as the region considers and prepares for the next storm. We'll see. We want to go by the bank, the pharmacy.

Also getting a gallon of dairy milk for ddolder's boys - they couldn't find it at store. :| She says she told them they've picked a bad week to allow themselves to run out of milk and could do without. But Grandpa... .. no, not going to happen.

I think I know the treat Nancy set out for carrier. HRH would have to comment and say he's made some outrageous number of them. Not alone, of course, lol. A cheerful little package to see.

Twins', I'm sure you are way too efficient on this to need any advice, but is this recorded for those who purchase, perhaps? So that you could give your brain a break and get back to the final hours later? Give yourself a treat later for earning the stuff of credentials.

Still no internet, but technician should be here around 4:00. I hope it’s a simple fix, because I just got through telling the pastor I would be there tonight. I skipped chair yoga this morning. I had a lot of trouble getting back to sleep after my late nap last night.
Church is at 6:30 (food at 6:00) so surely the tech will bd home by then!
Tomorrow is another day.

I ended up having a short nap this afternoon. Dh was playing on his phone, so I got under all the covers. I read for a while. Dh put down his phone and then I heard snoring. Then I realized that was all I heard. The TV wasn't on like it usually is. I reached up and turned the switch on my bedside table lamp. Nope. So I decided I would close my eyes seeing as the power was out. Oops. I woke up at 3. The power was back on. The pharmacy still hadn't texted me, so I called them. They had just done it and were about to text. So I went and got gas, went to the bank, went to the pharmacy and went and got yogurt for dh.

Leftover spaghetti is warming up. I haven't even cleaned any cat litter boxes. Which means I will hit submit and then go do at least one.

After holding my breath for the past 18 hours (metaphorically speaking) I am starting to feel like we are headed back toward our normal. DH is about 70% better and continuing to improve each hour.

I managed to cat nap this afternoon while sitting next to DH as he slept in recliner. I am now up to 5 hours sleep which feels acceptable.

School, along with all games and activities, has been canceled again for tomorrow due to road conditions still being considered unsafe. This is day #6 of being stuck at home due to snow and ice.

Internet is restored! The guy was here ahead of time and didn't take too long. Problem was a mouse (rat?) chewing on the wires under the floor. He said he tied it up off the ground so maybe they won't get to it again. I told him about the heat unit, where I'm sure they get in, and he said yes... pointed out some spots that need covering on the base of the unit. Looks like spots where a forklift could be used to move the unit, but he said you'd think they'd cover those places when they install these things.

I need to put on make-up and get ready for church. I could also use a nap! Probably will sleep better if I do NOT nap!

I had leftover spaghetti for lunch, and may eat another portion before I go to church. Dmom was also eating spaghetti when we talked on the phone earlier.

So many deaths in our community lately -- a former pastor, a man who used to run a restaurant where DS and others played music regularly, and a member of my old church -- need to tell dmom about that one. I probably should go to all of these visitations, but I may not. If I go to any, it will be to the man from my old church. Dmom might possibly want to go to that one also. The pastor who is doing that service did my dad's service. He was the pastor who baptized me. Also saw where a young man who used to ride my school bus passed away -- he was a couple years younger than me.
Tomorrow is another day.

I could use a nap too. I'm sleepy after sitting for the afternoon. While listening, I revisited some of my research on one of my "brick wall" lines so that was somewhat productive. Topic today was context from death records, epidemics, and such. Interesting case study the last session that used a lot of research from different sources for a family narrative that emphasized family trauma passed down.

Dh was asleep on the couch when I came down. He's not feeling great but at least he got a nap. He's off coffee today because he has an Echo/cardiac CTA in the morning for diagnostic purposes. His father died in his fifties from heart disease so dh is being cautious in getting things checked out. HIs calcium score (some kind of cardiac indicator) has risen. I think he's probably younger than some of the dh-s here, only 68.

When I was downstairs at 4:30 he got out stuffed peppers from Costco and left half on the counter - rest into the freezer. I thought he'd get the oven fired up and get them started but it will be nearly seven now before they're done. I started another load of laundry (he folded what was in the dryer this a.m.) Dcleaning lady comes tomorrow too.

I think I'm feeling better now that we're on the downhill side of this course. Tomorrow is researching enslaved ancestors in antebellum era, records of slavery, DNA, and then a case study that utilizes all of those. And Friday is interesting material with records of "deadbeats, drunks, defaulters," crime and punishment, "divorce, deserters, and disappearing acts" with a case study at the end of the day.

So glad we have a quiet weekend but I imagine dh will find things for us to do. I might need it to recover, or to catch up this weekend.

Dh said the dMillie pooped pretty normally this afternoon. We're fighting battles with constipation - she doesn't eat well and doesn't eat much - and a battle with getting meds to "settle her down" down her too. She is taking the equivalent of Zoloft in a suspension flavored with chicken and added to her food, which she doesn't eat well on good days. And I'm trying to add the pumpkin for fiber by putting it on a lick mat with peanut butter. We've stopped with the softer, refrigerated food that doesn't have as much fiber as the dry food. KittyKatt - I wouldn't mind giving her something for constipation - I think I remember giving cats something like that to prevent hairballs but getting anything down her is a struggle. There are times she won't take a pill from me. Yesterday she did not eat all day until near our bedtime, when she took most of the pumpkin and ate most of her food.

I didn't sleep well worrying about ddog.
