Thumbs up for Thursday! PWYC
What are you giving "Thumbs up" for on Thursday? Better weather? Recovery and return to normal? (LadyM and family?) The cleaning lady comes today? (Me!) Do share what's making your day all better! We all need to hear good news!

Re: Thumbs up for Thursday! PWYC
Thank you with a thumbs up for starting us this morning Twins' Mom!
Also 2 thumbs up for the garbage truck guys this morning. I was taking the first bag out when they pulled up. I asked if they could wait while I got my compost bin. They waited and the guy that works the back of the truck walked up the driveway to take my bin when he saw I was struggling a bit. SO thankful for them not only waiting but also helping.
We have the regional coordinator coming to see us at 1 and the PSW is coming at 2:30 and she already told us she would be early.
Another thing to be grateful for is that dh and I both got our CPP cheques (checks) this morning. I did check the mailbox last night and they weren't there. I also went to the local post office to ask if anything hadn't been delivered. They checked the back room and came out and said there was nothing in the back for our address.
I will be doing 2 huge shopping trips either this morning or tomorrow morning and maybe first thing Saturday morning. Costco is near the top of the list. Actually that can wait until early next week.

Thank you for the start Twins, and a reminder we should to "count our blessings". Our DPets are a worry when they're unwell, aren't they? Laxapet comes as a paste, it's supposed to be "palatable" ( but I always take that with a large , sceptical pinch of salt!) . However, Jude will lick it off her paw - maybe DMillie would do this too, or perhaps putting some on her nose for her to lick off might work? As to its efficacy, its action appears to be gentle but effective! ( It keeps Jude "regular" even when she is moulting.)
How kind of the guy to help you with the compost , Cathy!
Good morning / afternoon, Blessed!
Today I'm giving a thumbs up for our successful parish lunch. Everyone turned up on time remembered what they had ordered (I had a list just in case!) and enjoyed their lunch.

I had just sprayed febreeze around the house when I got a call stating that our 1 p.m. meeting the the regional care coordinator has been cancelled but will be rescheduled. I've also done 2 litter boxes. Plus I sprayed some "pet companion" spray in the back hall. Oh, well at least the house smells nice!
Dishwasher has been loaded. Dh also asked if he could take me out for supper tonight.
I have very little left to do around the house. At least nothing too visible. Floors got spot mopped yesterday. Island is clear.
Hmmm... I don't want to nap today.

Re: Thumbs up for Thursday! PWYC
Good morning! A brief post now, I think; I need to take DC to class shortly. It sounds like they're finally up and about; I gave another knock at their door before I went to start the wash. Ah, yes, I hear the kettle going.
Well, I did not much succeed In overcoming procrastination necessary. The only thing on that list I got done was to clean off the dining table. But we had dinner at the table -- although dinner was scant: ravioli and sauce; turns out we had neither salad nor garlic bread in the house. Time to start a new grocery list, I guess. We did have brownie mix, so we had brownies for a late dessert to fill the holes.
Nothing on today's agenda except to get DC to class and back and to perhaps tackle some of the things I didn't do yesterday.
I think I will give a thumbs-up to a matcha latte when I get back from dropping DC; I am terribly bleary.
BBL, I hope! In the meantime, have a great day, everybody!

Re: Thumbs up for Thursday! PWYC
I was upstairs in my seat at 10:30 - webinar is going. I walked two laps earlier with dMillie, the second with dneighbor M and her R uby. It was good to catch up with them and socialize a tiny bit. And I needed the steps - I didn't walk ddog yesterday because dh did. When I went down at four thirty at break yesterday he had just walked her and she didn't ask again for it, and I didn't offer. So I only had 3500 steps for yesterday.
I wear an old style fitbit which I have hated since Google acquired it. It is now "auto detecting" exercise which runs the battery down by running a timer etc. I think I have finally disabled that, and I"m charging it now.
