Dh came home and is dealing with meanie raccoon. The turkey has been gobbling all day to let me know he didn’t like his visitor, even the outside cat kept staring toward where he was.
Trying to figure out what to cook with 3 dry boneless skinless chicken breasts… but a walk first!

Re: Edward Thomas Tuesday
I'm not a huge fan of raccoons, Bama. Nice that dh could take care of him. Is this your 2nd walk? WTG!
WTG on the clean car, kitkat. The black and white ducks I saw in the distance could be long-tailed ducks? If they dive? They might also be hooded mergansers, which is what my friend MM thinks they are.
How much of your list could you get to today, Gma? It does look like enough for several days.
You take such good care of Germane, Doggedly.
I hope you enjoyed your chickpea bowl, L Ann. Did the rain stop?
Hi Peaches! LTNS.
I'm currently at the girls' place watching Fable. Unfortunately, I don't get a peaceful night at home tonight. Well, I will once I get home around 8 pm. Tomorrow I will get a full peaceful evening, especially since dh has a coffee date after dinner. The previous quiet evening at home was Saturday night. The next one will be Monday.
But travels and visits with friends should be fun. We're not hosting so that's easier.
Next:
- duolingo
- update health apps
- go home
Later:
- back exercises
- payroll: exam prep progress
- lol 1 w d f pa

- coffee
- email deletions and weather websites
- payroll: prep AR D6
- payroll: set up quizlet vocab
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- made a snack; gathered stuff; otd late at 10:50
- 11:10 - 1 payroll: teach AR D6
- payroll: quick talk with AC - I may need to lead the teacher meeting on Monday
- 1:35ish to 3ish KS2J get together
- home; had yogurt snack and never really got going again
- texted AS; it looks like he can't work me in tomorrow
- emailed reply to MM
- made reservations for restaurant for Friday
- emailed CK and EK with restaurant info; this is a nostalgic restaurant and not a high-end one. We used to come here with our 3 tots and get Mexican food.
- early dinner: chicken, hummus, veggies
- logged all my food
- after dinner clean up
- gathered stuff; too late to walk
- at the girls' place watching Fable: outside play time, fed her, gave her a chew stick

Re: Edward Thomas Tuesday
I have been to the pet food store and picked up a few cans of Germane's (current) favourite brand. I haven't opened it yet, as she has two cans open in the fridge, and has been feasting on my pork, her pork, and rice soaked in the pork broth. And she sometimes likes the diced carrots from the slow cooker, and sometimes dumps them on the floor, LOL.
Done already, L.Ann? WTG on getting it all done!
Hurrah for DH dealing with the raccoon, Bama. I imagine that it was expressing its thoughts on being caged in language that your turkey and cat don't often hear.
LOL, Gma, if local theatre actors remember most of their lines, they meet my standards! I'm glad that you had a good weekend with MrVKM.
kitkat, I had a yardful of raccoons when I had my house in the suburbs. It had a long yard because it backed onto train tracks, and it was lined with trees. They had their nests in the trees and never bothered me. I only knew that they were there because one of my neighbours had a running battle with one of them.
That car looks nice and shiney!

Re: Edward Thomas Tuesday
lol Dogged, I’m glad I don’t speak raccoon or turkey or cat then. And we have ANOTHER cat coming around eating my food.
I think the neighbors won’t spay/neuter. They’re old school as in let the critters have the run of the yard and I won’t have to deal with them. I guess I’ll have to sit out with Lola while she eats. She doesn’t get close to me but maybe if I sit at a distance and run off anyone else it will keep them away from her food. The new cat was on my steps eating, I had put Lola a can of food right by the door since she kept staring at me whenever I looked outside. The nerve.
Helia, raccoons can be big pests. Although they are cute with their masks. I didn’t know they nest in trees.
Wtg. LAnn. Did you get your chickpeas tonight?
Waving to all beyond.
I’m soooo tired. I dunno if it’s the sunset walks doing it or what but I could fall asleep right now. Still need to load and run the dw and let the dogs out one more time…

Re: Edward Thomas Tuesday
timid
I just let my list sit here while I worked, and you got the racoon dealt with, and fended off the intruding cat so feral pet can eat and Germane got fed, and all kinds of other things happened!
I'll post my list, maybe that will inspire me.
go for a walk - maybe that will energize and inspire me? Or freeze me...
opened several windows to let fresh air in; time to close them
Clear K table- moved centerpiece from DR table to K instead, so I could do a different project.
Load DW - next up
Sweep floor
take out garbage
clear counters - next up
Bank - probably will end up being tomorrow
Shower-shampoo
Clean bathroom
Bake muffins
Senior day at Co-op grocery, for fresh fruits and vegetables. Also where I like to buy my milk.Cancelled from my list today...
$ to church for Easter flowers order - probably tomorrow when I go there anyway
Clear DR table
put away winter table cloth with snowflakes on it
Unload part of DR hutch cabinet onto the DR table when it's clear,
so I can really dust it well,
(for another day): wipe off all the things that are there, and only put back those things that will look nice, and put others away somewhere.

Re: Edward Thomas Tuesday
I'm sure that you have earned your slower-paced day, Gma. And there's always tomorrow.
Bama, Lola is lucky to have you looking out for her so well. Life can be hard for outdoor cats. I can understand your frustration with your neighbours who keep creating more of them.
I have washed a bunch of dishes, given Germane her treats and Apoquel, and I think that I am ready to start getting ready for bed.
Good night!

Re: Edward Thomas Tuesday
Good night, doggedly. We are generally the last ones up, partly due to time zones.
I have baked oatmeal apple muffins, with raisins and chopped nuts. They taste pretty good. Baked with no butter! applesauce.
I'll get some to MrVKM sometime soon, so he can have something at least kind of healthy, as he gets up very early, is a professional driver all day, doesn't cook anything for himself, and doesn't have any food in his house even for breakfast (except he does have some orange juice).
Now I need to take a shower and wash my hair; then I can go to bed too.
