WTG Bama! Looks like you're doing a lot with boxes.
Enjoy the restaurant with ds + family, Gma! Nice that dgson could help.

Back from Kroger - and it's not quite enough cabbage as there was no scale for me to weigh it, so I'm going out to WF to see if they have more Napa cabbage. I'll get more milk and bananas while I'm there.

- anything else?

TaDas!

Germane has had her appointment and been fetched home with no elevator drama. She pooped in her crate on the way over to the groomer, so I handed over a very dirty dog. The groomer did a great job, as much as she could. Germane fought off her efforts to clean her face and trim her beard, as she has been doing with me. For me, the important thing is that when I bring her into the vet on Thursday, he will be able to access her sore spots with the fur clipped short.

It was such a beautiful day today that I actually had the patio door open a bit for a while. First time this year! March is so uncertain; I have been very lucky in my timing this week. We have a serious freezing rain warning for Wednesday, but it should be finished before I need to bring Germane out to the vet on Thursday. Did I mention how much I love being retired?

I changed out all of Germane's bedding while she was away, and had a plan to start the laundry when we got back, but then I realized that I have the Costco order piled up in front of the laundry and dw carts, and putting that away will be as big a job as laundry, so laundry can wait.

Germane ate a surprisingly big meal when we got home, and she is now sleeping off her excitement on her clean bedding in the bathroom.

LOL, that is true, trissie. I don't think that the hanger is holding a grudge.

Germane looks lovely, helia, except for the knots etc around her face. I can bring her to the vet with a clear conscience, as I know that we have done all that she will allow.

Hi, Bama

I am reading the latest books in 2 different mystery series with characters I know Trissie. They are both quick reads. I am listening to Vigil by George Saunders which is not a quick read. ;) I recently finished Keeper of Lost Children which is a historical fiction book about the children that were born from relationships with black American servicemen and German women. Many ended up in orphanages and the story is about a serviceman’s wife who worked to get them adopted in the US to black families.

Sounds like a lot of interesting reads, LAnn.

Helia, enjoy your dinner party.

Dogged, that’s good that Germane has a healthy appetite today and I know she is feeling better. She will sleep good tonight.

Sorry I’m not very chatty today. I’m an introvert irl so sometimes it can be a struggle to say the right thing and you all cover everything so well I just nod in agreement. :)

Updated list. Doesn’t look like much but I have two full trash cans to go to the road so that counts as something. Just finished dinner, need to clean up the kitchen and chill. See yall tomorrow, if I don’t peek back in tonight.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Never worry about that, Bama. I have days where I don't feel as chatty.

That book sounds good, L.Ann.

helia, you can have my mojo as I don't feel like using it, and you are making good use of yours.

WTG, all! I think that I'm going to pack it in early, and listen to audio books or read.

We (my siblings and I) are trying to set up a "small business" called an LLC, to manage my mother's house. Oh, my, has it become time consuming process. Getting the legal paperwork was a breeze. Setting up the checking account at the bank is another story.
The first person with whom I dealt said it was easy, gave me a folder from the bank that told what I needed to bring in with me.
Then the person who first helped me had never done this before. We worked together 2 hours.
I came back the next day, spent another 2 hours and I thought we had finished, except for ordering checks.
Today I went back to order checks. Another teller helped me. She had to make up a whole new set of signatures as apparently it hadn't been done correctly to include my brother and sister as people who could write checks on the account. Apparently I was the only one listed.
Another 2 hours. And still not done. It was the end of the day and she will finish documentation, then email it to them tomorrow.
There is to be a document the bank wants that adds the other sister as a co-owner, even tho she is not going to be involved in the day to day business - not to exclude her but she is overwhelmed with repairing a house that had a major fire and the entire main floor is being completely removed and rebuilt, plus the lower level is being entirely restored (everything including plumbing, electricity, and walls has been removed!). She has enough to do to manage that!

Fun future hope: I finally figured out how to notify a regional University that I am willing to be an independent editor to assist students with their writing of major, or minor, papers. They replied back that they were very happy to put me on their list! I have done this before (maybe for about 10 years, but I took a break for my mother's 100 and 101 birthdays) and it has been so good for my brain.

Fun evening after that tho: I joined dson and his family at a nice restaurant in town and we had supper together and good visiting. I had a small gift certificate that helped with the tip.

My list for tomorrow is ready - hand written so I will know what to do when I wake up!
