Good morning

My day has 3 must do's and the ready-to-eat tub in the refrigerator is empty. So I am solving this dilemma by reaching out to local person who is an amazing cook to help me feed these teens. I've placed an order for pan of Chicken Enchiladas and pan of Chicken Dumplings that I will pick up this afternoon. If I had a couple extra hours available to spend in the kitchen I would make them myself, but I don't. Plan B is implemented!

The hip pad is in full use today to keep me aware of time passing and on track with things that I have committed to do.

It's so good to have a plan.

I have a pretty empty fridge as well I need to deal with that. I've been putting that task off.
Not out as I have pre made frozen stuff in both freezers just need to remember to get it out.

So glad for my progress this week and it's kept me busy at home.
Rain this weekend Sat. - Mon. so I"m adjusting my schedule for that.

Biggest fires: Send out checks from 2 accounts for ILA - should have done this a week ago.

Watch another training video for the youth
Finish my presentation for presentation Monday
Sit in on a meeting at 12

Put all of the dog items on buy nothing or for sale on marketplace
Gather all dog beds and blankets and take to the laundromat
Schedule our fun activities for RCL cruise

check flight schedule for this cruise and see if we can possibly leave day before without much penalty
Declutter desk
Work on taxes must be done by tomorrow

There is more but that is what I can think of at this moment.

Dcleaning lady is doing her thing downstairs, I'm upstairs out of her way! I got the straightening up done already. Nothing on the calendar for me today - and dh is supposed to be out late this afternoon with Rotary working at an event at an elementary school they sponsor.

I just looked at my a.m. routine list and realized neither of us has walked the dog. But she's not up here with me so I'm waiting a bit.

Talked to ds last night a long time. She's doing well and I think her therapist is helping her work on routines (remembering to take meds!) and she sounds good.

I've been to Walmart and back.
Dh and I had an early lunch with leftover chicken from last night.

I bought us a new air conditioner. Now dh won't have to struggle with the big one that goes in the window. This one has the hose that goes from the floor unit to the window. So now we have 2 of these A/C units.

Usually there will be a hot spell that has TV stations interviewing people that went to buy a fan or something else to help them stay cool in the heat and they show the empty shelves at whatever stores carry these. I'm a firm believer in being prepared at the very beginning of the season. Which reminds me that dh needs some swimsuits that he wears instead of shorts.

Twins - it wonderful with our grown kids call us to share their doings, especially when it includes news of them doing well.

I have not been the best mother, but I have always done the best I could with what I knew at that time. Looking back in my life I see a couple things that I would definitely do different. But at the time I was making those decisions I didn't have the experience and knowledge that I have now. Even after 50 years of raising children I still feel like I might be making the wrong decisions with raising DS17 and DD14.

DS52 and DGD15 called to chat last night as they were driving to gymnastic lesson. They make a 2 hour drive each week for DGD15 to work with a particular trainer. You know those cheer events where they build pyramid with 3 levels of cheerleaders with the flyer on top level? DGD15 is the one on top. And they also have 2 muscled males throw a cheerleader into the air while she flips and then they catch her? Yup....that what DGD15 doing. She is a flyer. I have several videos of her performing at events and it scare me to watch them even though I know the outcome and she is safe. DGD15 has always had no fear. I remember when she was about 2 years old react to what other kids considered scary and the way she responded. She turned and faced the scary thing instead of cowering or running. It is just who she is.

Hey, all! Well, I did start to log in at the crack of noon, but then I got the word from Dfriend K that her car was ready at the mechanic's, so I ran her there and then filled my tires once I got home. The day started out quite nice, but it's clouding over and getting chilly now, so it's better that I didn't put that off any longer.

Other than that, I haven't done much today. I did spend some time on my to-do list, but just prioritizing it, not actually getting anything done. OTOH, having a prioritized to-do list and a card that tells me to work on it has been helping me actually accomplish some things around here, so prioritizing is in itself important work. When I'm done here, I'll have lunch and then work on laundry.

LadyM, burgers with local meat cut by a local butcher sound heavenly!

It sounds like you will have some much-deserved peaceful time to do (or not do!) what you will, Twins.

Way too early needing to chat with dd27 because of her work and travel schedule, and that kept me alert at the wrong time of day. I actually went back to bed, so this day has been disjointed.

Costumelady and LadyM, I think it's wise to use 3 items per area-of-life to set priorities. I often try to do that for myself. Hope you corral your days.

LM you are doing great. My Dgd also was the "flyer" till her surgery.
This spring she's doing tennis.

I've conga - Ed through w-mart and am back home again.
99% of food is put away. I can have fish Fri. for dinner was out of the kind I like on a bun.
I need to rinse off the truck.

Got some fun "surprises" for me for later.
The dotted journals I like finally came in stock.Did not buy yarn. LOL!
Instead of plants I got some very nice pruners and the last pr. of them.

Home early had brunch.
Need to walk ddoggo too.
