Wow! It's Wednesday!
Mid week. Hump day. Sabbath.
However you think of Wednesday, it is here!
What will make it a Wow! day for you?

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
For me, technically it is the last half of my Sabbath. I'm still having trouble remembering my Sabbath runs from Tues to Weds but now I forgive myself my surfing last night. I also sent an email last night that set me up for reply this morning. This was good since I'm planning stuff in my head and now one more bit is planned IRL!
This morning will be baking since I have to take a dessert to tonight's meeting. I'll be working this morning providing breaks for the students but that's mostly done, more just socializing.
I'm on the treadmill now, the bed is made and my day is forming in my head so all is good.

Waving to Kathryn and the villagers that come in later today. I'm at work today.
Tax returns due Oct 17 are pressing and everyone wants theirs sooner rather than later, lol.
After work today another social occasion with dh.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
Good Morning!
I am up and going. About 90% on schedule but have skipped a few priority daily cards so will need to double back and finish them later today.
Breakfast = Strawberry/protein shakes made (milk & applesauce for LO)
Lunch = Brisket slices, green salad, cauliflower, fresh salsa,
Supper = pot luck after church. I have the crockpot STUFFED full of pork ribs that will cook for 12 horus today. Also will take a couple side dishes = mac & cheese, mixed green salad and a large dish of pinto beans
today is our normal Wednesday schedule = library story time for LO, thrift store, LO nap time, get older DGS's and girl friend when school is out, church, take older ones home then finally slide into bed and fall asleep in 3.2 seconds.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
I peeked in and saw the topic and left again to get my trash out!
You'd think I could remember Wednesday trash day first thing in the morning. Also took recyclables out even though no one will pick them up for a week, which is a sore spot for me (mad at myself for missing it last time).
lucylee, have you acknowledged the existence of your husband, dear?
I'm sure you two are each back to existence today, just teasing. I've had days like that, btdt.
Today my ddad will stay at his own home a few hours for the first time in what, 2.5 weeks I guess.

52*-48* Today's weather is strange the hi. temp today is lower than the over night low temp.!
I'm up I slept well it's been raining I sleep good when it rains. No granny duty today.
No school here today either.
Last night things were fine then the strangest thing happened I was talking to h. about apples and the next thing I know we are arguing. {sigh} I decided that it's in the air too we had been to Wallyworld as some of you mentioned yesterday.
Moving on to some better news now. My b.s. is near the higher end of my target range so I'm glad that it's down some what this morning.
Last night when we were doing some errands dropped off the dontaions that were in the car trunk.
Soap Box Warning~
Sports were the thing that was supposed to help motivate dgson to do better in school instead he has just been lying about not getting reminders in school and he will still get to play in sports games b/c his folks will be gone ~ sigh~ not much of a consequence there. But they have invested time $ and energy in getting him to practices.
My kids did not have time or energy to stay on top of school work and do sports in the lower grades and be active in church we had to pick and choose. [_] ok putting soap box away now!

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
The students have decided to have lunch here. The soup smelled good to them as they arrived this morning. Lunch is turkey soup and/or turkey sandwiches, cheese, veggies or chips, dip, salad. I'll make rice krispy squares for the dessert. I'll take the leftovers of those and the leftover fresh fruit to the dessert thing this evening.
I've picked up buns and some veggies and then got the soup finished (adding carrots, celery and rice.)
I'm taking a 20 minute break before the final prep for lunch.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
I have had some Wow! moments this morning.
When Jake and I went out earlier it was 43 out. Wow chilly. We walked twice as far as our normal walk because it was nice although chilly. The final Wow was looking at all the beautiful colors of the trees, bushes and flowers. The fall colors are so pretty.
Today is my baking day too. I'm making 2 pull apart loaves of bread, chicken salad from my leftover chicken from dinner the other night, and cookies for the concierge's desk. This months are chocolate crinkles.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
VERY Skippable!!
Today is one of those pull your hair out days.
First off - we have not been able to find the title to the truck we are selling. All the other titles/certificates of insurance/birth certificates/passports are right where they should be. But not the title to the big truck.
OK - so I find the online form, call DMV and find out time frame - everything will work fine - just cost about $20 to get it here by next week - all it good. NOT!!
Fill out form and it won't print. Do all the stuff I need to for the printer to work. Nothing. Reboot. Other things will print - now DMV form won't load.
Anyway - finally done. Now to find a Notary and get it in the mail. In the meantime, I am beating myself up because I lost the title.
The day can only get better from here. Hope you are having a good day. I want to go back to bed.

Re: Wow! It's Wednesday!
((Emptynester)) I've known titles that absconded, too. We file these things, but sometimes they are just renegades and you can't reform them.
It is a hard decision, Nancy. We certainly all want our children to have fun and many experiences at school, and equate positive things with their school. Dd has a friend who wanted to be a cheerleader and it cost a bundle - I didn't know it cost so much. Other friends are in football but we don't hear how much that costs. I know that dd would like to play basketball and I have at times agonized over that. But she herself says that she can barely get all the homework done now. I'm sure colleges still look at extra-curricular activities from school years when they award scholarships. But the academics have to come first or nobody's looking at the student in the first place.
I'm being very efficient. I've got a second load of laundry in and I've gotten both household's Desk Days current.
