kitkat, it's happened to me so many times that either I forgot to hit the submit button (because I got sidetracked by another tab) or didn't notice there was a new post and then was surprised my post was not there!

Frenchie, I was thinking of you! I am actually reading a French book now, can you believe? Translated, of course, my French is along the lines of "je voudrais payer avec ma carte banquere, s'il vous plait" and people would reply in English It's a young adult book called "Felicratie" and it's a really fund read. It was supposed to be for DS (he has a reading assignment for school that called for "young adult book published after 2015") but he didn't like it so it's mine now.
kittykatt, stay safe, the weather forecast is not good!

I got lost in the payroll paperwork and had to take a nap and then of course had to work later to make up for that time, but I am done for the day! Also, used the time before logging onto the computer and lunch break to clean, so we now have a much cleaner downstairs, though it can still use some hunting of stray items. I think I probably spend three times as much time on these strays (which are usually not mine anyway) as on real cleaning!

We just have basketball for DD33 on Saturday and a party and meal with one of DD’s group on Sunday, Trissie. I like at least one thing for DD33 to do each day. I am hoping to walk on Sunday with my friend but I am pretty sure it is going to rain.

Good morning! (I am irrationally proud of making it here before noon my time.) Thanks for starting us off, trissie. I do like Miss Lemon. I love to picture her so focussed on what she cares about, that Poirot's irritating qualities just slide right off her.

Sorry about the wet weather while you are out doing your appointments, Kittykatt. Today we are above freezing, which is delightful, but I'm not sure that I will be able to take Germane out. We have intermittent rain, and wind gusts up to 70 kph, which is enough to blow her off of the sidewalk. If it seems nice enough, I might carry her to the windbreak and just walk her on that part of the sidewalk.

Enjoy your breadmaking, trissie. You are very creative, making ordinary tasks (feeding the family) into creative tasks (making bread from starter, very fancy cookies, etc.)

Gma, that was nice of you to top up the gas and air in your df's car. I'm glad that you treated yourself to some nice flowers.

This is as far as I have gotten in CUOP. Will be back.

One of the things that I bought at Costco was a huge tray of croissants, that was the same price as half dozen in the grocery store. So I will be indulging in croissants for a while. My current fave: warm with jam and a dollop of Greek yoghurt. Germane's not impressed with it, so it's mine to eat, LOL.

I shoveled the walkway, the driveway and the part of the street adjacent to the gate - DH will have to shovel his streetside parking spot, but for the time being, he can leave his car by the gate. Of course, after I shoveled and swept everything, we got another inch of snow but it was 6 inches before, so it's definitely better than it was!

kitkat, Germane has allergies and we are not sure to what, so she's always on limited ingredient dog food. I've branched out to different types of limited ingredient dog food, to try to cope with her diminishing appetite.

L.ann, I hear you on the paperwork! It's a struggle.

I have 3 items ready to go to the post office for mailing. Anything I get out of my house is good! Lots of paper has gone to shredder, to recycler.

I discovered a page I had written while I was still at Mother's house, caring for her while mostly living there. Google had been keeping track of my locations and times. In one summer month (when it didn't take 15 minutes to get dressed/ undressed for going outside and coming back in) it had recorded 48 stops at my house. 10 were less than 10 minutes. An additional 18 were less than 30 minutes. And 11 were 31-58 minutes. Total= 39 times at my house less than an hour. Really hard to get anything started, worked on, and finished in that amount of time.
But that has passed, and I am working diligently to get my house straightened up and in order. I think my desk took about 6 hours yesterday.
