Mystery, there will be plenty of annuals available in the nurseries for planting come spring - unless you're starting seeds indoors you'll be okay, and I still see annual seeds at Lowes and Home Depot well into the spring.

And
a dog who had been given pumpkin and now won't eat anything till there's been pumpkin put on it! :D
Can't imagine it happening to this dog. She is a Prima Dona when it comes to what she will eat. She's eternally suspicious that we're trying to slip a pill or something into it and often only eats one meal a day instead of the two she's entitled to. I mixed the pumpkin with shredded rotisserie chicken on a lick map to get it down her. I put extra pumpkin over the chicken to make sure she got some, once she was down to the lick mat and pumpkin she was done.

I walked ddog two laps - good for me, good for her digestion. And I've started the roomba. Need to eat now.

Good morning
Thinking warm thoughts
I like that!

I'm constantly tweaking my hourly cards by adding, deleting and moving things around to a better time. Today I added a JOY title on the hobbies that I do for fun and enjoyment. Having that JOY title is a simple way of grouping & reminder of why I want to do those things. By listing the JOY things on the same line (spreadsheet) it is a quick way to scan across what hobbies I'm choosing to do. My main grouping method is by using columns but I'm discovering that using rows along with columns add another grouping method.

Nancy please don't cook them! "poor; impoverished; distressed: The indigent street people are often ignored."

It's far better to cook ingredients.

Gotta love autocorrect!

I have not gotten a lot done since my last check-in, but something. I did tidy up the bathroom, and I started a load of wash. I played a game "with" DD -- actually it's a one-player game, but we compete to see who got the better score. I checked my email, which led to me calling the health system to check on scheduling -- when I scheduled a follow-up with the nutritionist, she said that my referral had expired, but she'd get a new one from my primary care -- whose office then called to schedule a physical. Anyhow, I've been getting daily emails from the health system reminding me to schedule with the nutritionist, which I have already done! So I called their main scheduling, since the app couldn't help me, and I got a very helpful woman who was able to link my appointment to the referral, so the computer knows I'm taken care of. Always nice to get a friendly, competent human!

Had lunch, too -- the last of the leftover sandwiches from Saturday's party. I need to flip the wash, and I'm not sure what's next... hmm, I should do my chair exercises to the extent I can -- I pulled a muscle in my back, and sometimes it will get me even if I just shift my weight wrong. I need to flip the wash, too, and then I should tackle my to-do list.

It took me 3 reads to get what Cathy was teasing Nancy about. My eyes are not working even as well as the ol' brain today, maybe.

We've just finished a tasty lunch of Sloppy Joes over fresh warm bread, yum. I sprinkled cheddar on mine but HRH didn't think he wanted any.

Dailies done. Indoor plant care done.

I put off a shower but as we get to "the heat of the day" (if there is such a thing today) I will get that done. C-c-c-c-old here, it has seemed, and last night was chilly. I had cramps that I attributed completely to the temp.

I had a phone call, not of thanks but of acknowledgment, for gift/provision in my dear aunt's bequests that I work on along with some cousins and others. Said it made a huge difference for a family. Not my money, so not me doing for others exactly, just continuing along taking my part in it. We probably have another year, but eventually it does run out. One estimate was more than a year. Funny, but I had just had to send another email to the lawyer to please get a move on and do what the group asked on another subject. I seem to have become the chief prodder.

We have agreed to let Jesse (friend) use our shop to work on his vehicle during this cold weather. We are confident that he is trustworthy and won't abuse our shop or tools. There is two-way trust happening because the vehicle is his livelihood and contains all his welding equipment. I'm sure he isn't totally comfortable walking off and leaving it at night. The shop does have camera outside. I have thought about adding another camera on the inside to monitor the new cats. Hum...

A rice, hamburger, and cheese dish has been prepared and added to the family’s ready-to-eat selection.

I spent some time playing the piano and singing then moved over to the sewing machine to get reacquainted to it.

I want to divide my vegetable seed up into above and below ground so I can easier match with the moon planting recommendations.

Lifelong friend Gary called and talked for 47 minutes. He is stressed with the direction his wife health is taking. She has been in the hospital for 26 days and is not getting better. Today they will move her by ambulance to the big city hospital an hour away. There isn't anything we can do to help him (we asked) but he just needed to talk it out so we just listened and provided kind responses.

We are having leftover chili tonight.

Home from workout, went by the post office to check HOA box. Only one check there.

(This has been sitting here awhile....)

I had forgotten that I signed up for a genealogy institute that is next week!! So next week will be busy and strenuous, I'm feeling pretty aghast right now honestly. I won't make it to my workouts either unless I can reschedule to early in the a.m. and I'm really not good getting out early in the a.m., especially since feel like I should to do as much a.m. routine as possible.

I updated Quickbooks for the HOA checks I have, need to make a deposit soon. And helped dh with a package he's sending. Our dinner is underway...
