I'll have more steps today than I've had in a while. We were to have lunch in an area that is very busy today - had to park a ways away and walk, then walked to another restaurant to try to get in, finally back to car to go somewhere else. So I'm at 6600 steps. I've been pretty sedentary most days. Good news is that my back didn't hurt so that bodes well for NYC. Dh said we only walked the equivalent of two NYC blocks but at least we walked some. I did two laps around our circle with the dog this a.m. - need to remember that I did warm up some by the second lap.

Thank you for the congrats on the weight loss. I'm still overweight but not obese. I was just into the obese category when doc prescribed it.

Although it's part way through the month, I've decided to incorporate another habit now, as I should start to feel the benefits sooner than if I leave it until January:

Sit to stand 30 repetitions - I managed this yesterday so 1 heart already

December H&F habit focus = Circle walks (goal is 10 laps a day, averaging 11)

WTG, LadyM! You never cease to find ways to make your walking fun and different.

I'm going to track my steps this week - we're going to NYC on Wednesday, home next Monday, so it's a good time to jump start. I know I'll be walking more than normal there. It will undoubted be a week of not necessarily eating/drinking well. The first night of Hanukkah is our last night there, once home we have three Hanukkah events in that Hanukkah week. (I might skip Hanukkah dinner at temple, it's soooooo crowded and crazy.) The week of Christmas we're out on Christmas Eve evening and Christmas evening for socializing. It will be nice to get to January and return to better eating habits.

You're bold to start a new habit mid-month, but I like it, Kittykatt. Once you're good with the reps, my trainer sometimes has me do reps sit to stand with weights in hands, or sit to stand with bicep curl and overhead press.

Thank you for the encouragement, Twins, and for the "tips" for when I improve. I was thinking of leaving starting I til January but then I thought that there's still 3 weeks of this month left, and if I start now, I can (hopefully!) be making some progress.

Only 4400 steps yesterday. I let dh walk the dog in the a.m., then, by late afternoon I was knee deep in soup making so he took her again. Today is workout.

Nearly 10K steps yesterday with workout and only one lap with dog. I would have done some house-walking to hit 10K if I had realized how close I was. I need to charge fitbit before we go away probably.

Workout yesterday great as usual. And a year ago, I was taking off December so I'm not going to sweat the one-workout a week habit I have this month.

Shipping delays have affected by Zepbound. Ordered last Thursday and not shipped yet. Usually it's shipped next day or following, then gets here the following. So I have to go without for trip. Will affect my digestion and elimination this weekend, not for the better, I suspect.
