Sit to stand 30 repetitions - I managed this yesterday: 4 hearts

I’m working on learning how to fast and set up a fasting routine, or maybe more accurately, a restricted eating schedule. Whatever you call it, the goal is to create clear boundaries for when I eat. The hardest part is being okay with telling myself, “No, not now. You can have that later.” My inner brat can be pushy and demand food whenever it wants. I’m not following a formal fasting plan yet, just trying to get mentally comfortable with the concept. My hopes are high, but my expectations are pretty low.

Fasting habit - goal is to exceed 14 hours a day. Averaging 14:00 hours.

I'm reducing the Sit to stand to 10 repetitions for now - my hip and back have started hurting which may or may not be coincidence! So reducing to 10 repetitions will still help form the habit, but hopefully stop irritating whatever-it-is that's unhappy ATM.

Now that I’m paying attention to when I eat and how my body reacts, I’ve realized I want to shift my meals to earlier in the day. I’m not making any big changes, but I’m aiming for an eating window from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. That 8-hour eating window would mean fasting for the remaining 16 hours each day. Will that work for my unique body and lifestyle? I can only try and see what happens. My approach to making changes tends to be trying, analyzing the results, and then adjusting.

My December habits are being challenging to stick with. I don't want to go outside in the cold today but I'm not willing to give up my gold star. Soooo I will be doing the circle laps today but only the bare minimum needed to earn that gold star.

Last night I wanted to snack during the football game that DNephew was coaching for state champs. It was an excellent game that was back and forth all the way to the end. At 42 seconds the other team scored and won the championship by 3 points. I did not eat but I did heat up some broth and drank that cup of warmth and it satisfied my cravings. Some people may consider drinking broth to be breaking a fast but I consider this ME vs ME fasting effort okay to have a cup of broth.

Sit to stand 5 repetitions ( I've further reduced to 5 repetitions on advice from a friend who knows about these things, as my back / hip is still painful-) I managed this yesterday: 8 hearts
