Last night, I found myself binge eating. I’ve mostly overcome this old habit, but when I was at an emotional low it reared its ugly head, and I wasn’t ready to fight it off. It’s been months since I’ve felt that almost uncontrollable urge to eat... and eat... and eat—and it was not fun. My body didn’t handle the binge well, showing its displeasure with burps, restless sleep, swollen joints and ankles.
This morning, I can see what happened. I was emotional yesterday, coming to terms with the loss of DH’s memory, and I turned to food for comfort.
It happened, and now I’m picking myself up, dusting off the failure of not being kind to my body and moving on.
My goal is progress, not perfection.
Stay motivated. Success loves persistence.
Learn to sing & dance in the rain.
