Sleep low. Protein low.
Being aware is vital to making an improvement.
My step count is starting to naturally rise again after being low for 6ish weeks while waiting for relief from hip pain. The pain is 95% gone now. I can make the pain happen by getting in a certain position, but otherwise my ability to walk pain free is back to normal. I am going to focus on slowly increasing step count in August. Since it isn't totally healed yet, I am going to keep my expectations low. If I can increase to a minimum of 6k daily without causing hip pain, I would consider that a win.
Sharing information & my experience with
Glucosamine HCl and Chondroitin. DH started taking this years ago for knee pain. When i was doing such a deep dive in his meds looking for anything that might be interacting with other meds or be contributing to his memory loss, I decided to discontinue this OTC med. I didn't find any indication it was causing his memory loss, but just in case I stopped putting it in his daily med containers (I didn't tell him). Within a week he started commenting how much his knees hurt. That gave me the information I was seeking that it was worth taking because it was working to greatly reduce his knee pain.
When I had hip pain it eventually dawned on me that I might try taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin. I was shocked to get relief within a day of starting to take it. No way! Being doubtful, I stopped taking it and the pain came back. I started taking it again and the hip pain went away.
Do your own research, but I would highly recommend giving it a try if you are having joint pain.
