What are you doing today that you love to do?"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on." --Steve Jobs.

Good Morning!
I have been up a couple hours and am still on schedule. I have a good challenge going on with myself to keep to it for as long as possible today. Of course, the day will bring challenges and diversions that will blow my "perfect day" schedule off track - that is part of the daily fun - to see what unexpected adventure will show up and if I can juggle it without dropping the other balls.

Perfect start to the day, OKay. I'm marveling at my iPad and iPhone and the imagination and knowledge to create technology.
Going to work again today and getting closer to having my Oct 17 tax returns out. DH and I had dinner out last night w friends and didn't get home until past 9 p.m. I'm looking at a busy day tomorrow (bloodwork for dmom, picking up dd in K-town, and then services tomorrow evening) and will probably scoot out of work a little early today since this is the fourth day I've worked this week.

Re: Thursday Great Work
Good morning, Okay -and all who are yet to come! You truly are up and at 'em early! I was awake for a while in the middle of the night but sensibly went back to bed about 2am. Never did hear dh get up and leave this morning. Woke about 6:40. Think he should be coming in any minute -he's going to breakfast on the other side of the city with some old 'cronies' from his work place. This will be the only time he can catch them this year. They meet the first Thursday of each month but he rarely takes time to go. He really wanted to go to a big celebration they had last week. A lot of info from his 'spy in the sky' days was unveiled/declassified as of September 17th. So I guess he could talk about some of it now -if he so chooses. He really wanted to attend this gala, but was in PA with DS-R and dgs6.
It's now time for me to really buckle down and start packing up to go south. It's coming fast. DH wants to be out of here sometime on the 31st if possible. All depends on when they get the water all flushed and the big compressors back to rental company. Dcampowner/wife are supposed to be back sometime today. Rude awakening from FL weather. It was 37 this morning. Know our heat is really toiling.
Appropriate quote for today, Okay.
I completed an extended warranty for dh today. He asked me about it yesterday -couldn't do it for a couple of days so had taped it to the inside of a cupboard door. Going to put it there so dh can find it if he needs it. Had forgotten about it -and here he is!

Just hoping my internet 'stays' -cable is here at our box disconnecting some units today. Usually they manage to disrupt our service too.

Re: Thursday Great Work
I have been keeping up on posts but too lazy to post myself. We leave for Nashville on Tuesday, so I have a lot to do between now and then.
This afternoon I will be watching dgd2 and dgd5+months while their mom is getting her hair highlighted. I love to spend time with them and will miss them while I am gone.
Last Tuesday night dd2 and her dh finally found their dream house after looking for 6 weeks. It had just went on the market and 6 couples seen it that day. The next day they went to put an offer in and their realtor told them that another couple had also put in an offer. Dd2s offer was accepted. Dgd15 wasn't with them when they seen it, so the realtor set up an appt. so they could see it again and she invited us to go along. She told me that if I thought it wasn't for them to let her know my opinion. I had seen the pictures online and as beautiful as they were, it didn't do the house justice. It is a fabulous house and I love the kitchen. I always pack and unpack her kitchen on her numerous moves. I think she will finally stay put in this new house. I loved the house and told her since they can afford it, they had picked a winner. It absolutely put all the others to shame, even some of her previous favorites didn't come close to this. They will close around Thanksgiving. Not a great time of the year to be moving but it is what it is. They are planning to sell their house themselves. She is having the exterior painted. It is full brick but she let me pick the color for the trim, peaks and doors in case we decide to buy theirs afterall. The brick is a darker brown and I picked a tan for the peaks and doors and white for the trim. It looks great so far. Before all the trim, peaks and doors were a dark, dark brown. They hope to finish it this week. Then she is having the guy do all the fixit things that need done inside and out. Dh and I go back and forth on whether we should buy it or not. We would love more space but our house is paid for.
Well I better eat and do meds, so I can color my hair. I have a trim scheduled for tomorrow. I also need to clean this morning so off to get busy............

Re: Thursday Great Work
Lilac, it sounds like you have exciting times in your future!
I'm up and s2s including shaving legs.
I ran a load of laundry before bed and it was to go in the dryer at 6 when the alarm went off and another load was to be started (so they'd run before the electricity rates go up) but that didn't happen. I didn't wake up until dh came out of the shower at 7:15. So I'm biting the bullet and running everything according to my plan at the high rates. It will probably cost me an extra 50 cents so big deal.
Yesterday we picked up the mail and what we thought was the follow-on bill from dh's urgent care visit in Huntsville arrived. I steeled myself to deal with it but when I opened it, it was a cheque for the full amount of the visit! Dh paid a 'deposit' and it has all been refunded. He saw a doctor and a nurse spent ages flushing his ears so we thought $75 was reasonable. I don't know if this means they claimed from our insurance company and got compensation, or if they are refunding the deposit and sending a larger bill. Most confusing.
Dh is off for the morning so I'm on my own. Must be productive but first I'll eat.
I didn't sleep well, worrying about all that must be done today.

Re: Thursday Great Work
Good morning, villagers ~ It's Apron Day!
Good thing I had already planned a few days of concentrated clearing, declutter, and cleaning. Major change now is that it must all be inside work instead of including the garage and yard.
While I was at work last night, DH discovered the water heater had a major leak. It's in a basement room where I never go and DH rarely does, so we don't know how long there might have been a smaller leak. He had to shut it totally off last night, and thus we currently have no hot water.
Not a big deal except for taking a shower. I had the laundry and dishes caught up before work yesterday. I can heat water on the stove for doing dishes until we're back up and running, that's standard camping procedure. The 1 load of laundry I expected to do today is cold water wash anyway.
And as I said, I had already planned to spend the days with major decluttering. Having a stranger come in to replace the water heater just puts the pressure of a deadline, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
The biggest difference is for DH. I had planned to gently coax him into helping clean the garage and yard. Now he has no choice, he must do a bunch of cleaning in the basement. For which I feel no guilt, because it's all his mess. I have all I can handle upstairs!
We didn't have time to discuss it last night. I didn't get home from work until after 9:30 and he goes to bed at 10. Tonight we'll do some research on water heaters -- maybe a tankless one?

Re: Thursday Great Work
Good Morning all.
I'm up and at it this am. Have load of towel in the washer - it should be ready to hang out any minute. Also dusted (with wet rag) all of 5er so that looks a lot better.
DH is checking the air in all the tires of the MH so I'm sitting here with our monitoring system beeping at me as he takes off the sensors. ANNOYING!!
Next up is to sort our clothing laundry and get it done. The 5er is good to go as a guest room now (well after I put the clean towels in the bath.)
Then I will get the MH ready for the road tomorrow. We are going camping in the desert with DBro, DD#2 and DBro's friends.
Oh!! forgot - Next up is to start the chili for tomorrow night. Almost forgot about that. I will put it in our big crock pot and cook it most of the day.
Off to hang the laundry and wash out the crock pot.
