hello hello - I usually declutter in fall and winter but I never got to it. My hope is to get rid of one thing a day - trash or donation box - for a bit
it's amazing how clutter and unnecessary purchases can build up.
I had some things to declutter on my mind some were on the counter,
others needed to be rounded up. So did that and filled one too small bag I sewed up.
And those have been de-cluttered now.
A nice lg. cup that was too heavy for me when full; two sports themed one and a glass of the sport theme.

I've found a good home for my basket collection nine of them
they said Easter baskets for everyone! I'm not sure who was more excited me to have
them out of the shed or the recipients!
I’m so glad to have found this thread! The home we rent is going to be sold and I am in the process of major downsizing and decluttering since we don’t know where we are going to end up. It’s a challenge both physically and emotionally, so it will be nice to be able to come in here and share any accomplishments along the way.
Butterfly, we moved several years ago and I found out it is really a bigger project than I ever thought. I'd raised my family in a 2,200 square foot house and we went down to 1,600. I'd thought it wouldn't be such a big deal since our youngest dd was also moving to be a roommate to college friend at the same time. It still was!
I think you are so smart to work on this in advance. We took many items to donation. Also threw out a long-bed pickup truck full of things, plus had a "roll-out" dumpster that we rented for a few days. Hoping your project is a big success.

Got a home for a set of nice drill bits to go in dson's Easter basket his S/O does up basket so told her they were his dads'
so thought he would luv that!
I took another jar out to go in a box of them for dd's candle making adventures.
As I'd mentioned in another thread, I have a dcousin who is planning to give me our grandmother's sewing machine. The problem is that the cousin's home is so cluttered, the machine is behind many things. I've seen the room years ago - I know how very cluttered it, and the rest of the house, is. I'm sure if the machine has been back in there even longer now, it really could be inaccessible by now.
I don't feel any judgement over this - I can see how it can happen. Actually, I appreciate the thought to let me have something that will be so much appreciated by me/us, and then the honesty, to tell me the truth about why it will take time. I can't help but think how sad, though, to have such a struggle, be so encumbered. And also, I wonder if the situation is dangerous, plus whether the weight bearing down on the house's structure could be damaging. I will not nag at all - I happen to know there have been hurt feelings back and forth when others have brought up the work that should be done, or offered to help but moved too fast without understanding.
It's good that at least one thought, one idea of wanting to get that machine out to me, has been planted. If that is a good experience, maybe it will start something. This cousin is younger than me, but not so young that strength doesn't wane, or respiratory problems can't start. Good health and safe surroundings mean so much.
Is she efficient? Does she know where her appointments are taking her next? 
Do forgive her and give her another chance. All the rest of us think she's pretty terrific.
