Health and Fitness May 2025
Let's share our efforts and what we learn about health and fitness.
Health is feeling good all-around—physically, mentally, and socially. It’s eating well, staying active, getting enough sleep, and keeping stress in check.
Fitness is being in shape to do what you love, whether that’s hiking, lifting, or just keeping up with life. It’s about moving your body regularly and building strength, stamina, and flexibility.
Basically, health and fitness are about living your best life, staying strong, and having the energy to enjoy it!

During the month of May, my focus will be on having a better bedtime routine.
Established healthy habits.
Sleep = 7hr 47min average 30 days
Hydration = 120oz+
Cronometer = 300 days logging, 84 mineral/vitamins, 30-day average = 1331calories, 38% protein
Move my body = AM walks=30, PM walks=20 in April, Average = 6420 steps, 11 hours with 250+ steps,
Weight loss is at an average 30-day pace of -.68% resulting in a total 12.65% body weight removed since 7-5-2024
I am celebrating reaching 300 consecutive days in logging my food. Doing the happy dance on my path to better health and fitness.

Good morning! I'm going to start popping in here. I was going to get to the gym early today and I got waylaid by 2 telephone calls and then the spring-clean-up lawn guy decided to come today - in 15 minutes.

This month I am continuing with my pelvic floor exercises. I also want to list a second habit - drinking water. My aim for now is for 8 glasses a day.
Thursday 1st May:
I did my exercises - 1 heart
I drank 4 glasses of water
Friday: I've done my exercises - 2 hearts


No water so far - I haven't got up yet!

Getting started.....
These are exercises I did today. Not sure if I'll keep listing them separately or just list it as "gym" in the future.
That ab sled is no joke. Weirdly, it's not that hard. A few months ago I tried it for the first time - at the steep incline - and pulled a muscle.
Anyhoos... felt good at the gym this morning. Got there at a good time.
Steps so far: 5500
@gym
• treadmill - 15m
• knee/leg lifts- 2 sets of 5 reps
• straight arm support - 10 sec.
• ab/ad for legs - 70# - 10 reps
• ab sled - flat position - 2 sets of 15
• back extension - roman chair - 3 sets of 10
• back extension machine - 1 set ea. @ #70/#80/#90
• elliptical - 5m - working towards 15
• hydromachine bed - 10 minutes

Sunday: I've done my exercises - 4 hearts




I drank 10 glasses of water yesterday (it was hot again!) - 2 hearts


I noticed an improvement in my energy levels when working outside yesterday with making an effort to stay more hydrated
