So many choices this Saturday!!

Post by CathyS »

Take your pick from your personal set of choices today.

Cards? A list? No list?

If you want to watch TV or sit at your computer, there are a lot of things to choose from as well!
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I think I'm going to watch the Trooping of the Colours today. It's the annual celebration of the Monarch's birthday that dates back hundreds of years. Lots of horses, marching bands and flags fluttering.

I'm also going to watch the Pope's broadcast.

There are also clean dishes to put away and a couple of large pots to wash. I think I might have a nap later.

It's overcast here and it's colder than usual.

I chose to journal & do qt inside as the chair outside was wet from rain over nite.
I listened to a pod cast by Mel Robins this morning and while
I did listen to the last of it as it was long I cleared off the a surface in my office
so happy with the progress about half done yea!

Glad I had deviled eggs for my bfast too.

Waving to everyone.
Not sure on the rest of my day.

Went to the store got paper towels and a few other items.
Did not go to any yard sales.

one of the dogs had a problem all night; needing to go outside 3 time and wanted 4 times, (I nixed that one ;) ). Mom was up at 6:00 bc the dog barked again but she wanted to rest some more and I am loving it.

the helper has off on Saturday and Sunday and I am enjoying not getting started so early.
Again I want to thank you all for giving me a backbone to see that the helper is not understanding boundaries

hi d Nancy how nice to spend time journaling outside
waving to you too

the goal today is to clean inside (room by room) and plant a few more annuals.
I have a chair being delivered at 10 am

I watered outside and cleaned the dog pool - refilled it.
filled the bird water as well

hope you all have a great day.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Choices... hmmm. No choice on finishing freezing down a bunch of strawberries. Our pastors brother brings berries to sell from Vancouver area most summers. I bought 2 trays this time cause I'm freezing some to bring to dd next month but bad timing as nephew's grad made a busy week.

I'll choose to go to his grad. I can choose to do some gardening. I can choose music. That will fill my day.

I have not been able to get onto the site for a long time, I don't know why, but today I have :)

Please, will those who pray, pray for us. Our dd who lives with me and dh and her partner and ds (who is neurodiverse). has advanced ovarian cancer.
She is at the stage of having palliative care and next Tuesday onward will have carers coming in 4 times a day. We have been told she is worse than she looks and for the last two days her mind has wandered. Today she thinks she is dead and died at the town hall. She asked me to contact the undertakers so her soul can be reconnected to her body. It has given me the chance to ask her what sort of funeral she would like and she was lucid about that, she wants a simple no fuss one. I told her partner and he agreed with that.

One very good thing is her dbrother came from Italy until next Thursday and he has been an enormous help, he mended the vaccum cleaner and vaccumed through the house and declettered all the rubbish, dgs is delighted to be with him.

Oh, (((Vergers))) , I'm so very very sorry to hear your news. I will pray for you all, for your DD, that she may have peace, for the little boy who is about to lose his Mum, for you and your DH, and, of course, for her partner and her brother.

((((vergerswife )))) Praying for you and DFamily.

I say YES! to having choices. Cathy - thank you for that reminder.

We had a wonderful mini adventure yesterday afternoon/evening and totally enjoyed our wanderings through several towns and around 3 lakes. It brought back many memories that DH enjoyed sharing about his childhood. #TreasuredMoments

By choosing to do that mini adventure I also choose to ignore several things that needed by attention at home. It is a balance
