fall seems to be hitting our area early - it was 43 this morning when I woke.
What do you have to get done before fall officially hits?
Is there outside clean up?
Painting that needs finishing?
pots put away
Oil changes in car?
wood for Fireplace or wood stove?
cloths to be brought out?
car to be vacuumed? ready for fall?
garden to clean out?
is there a physical fitness routine you want to have in place for winter?
What do you need to do before Fall is officially here?
Have a wonderful day!!!!
The summer's warmth begins to fade, A gentle, cooling breeze is made. The leaves, once green, now turn to gold, A vibrant story to unfold.
The air grows sharp, with scent so sweet, Of musky earth and leaves that meet The ground with a delightful crunch, As nature prepares its annual hunch.
For shorter days and longer nights, The world puts on its colored lights. We bring out sweaters, cozy, warm, To ready ourselves for autumn's charm.

Good morning
Blessedw2 - Thank you for the start today. Our temperatures are still in the 90s, so we haven’t felt the fall weather yet. This is one of my favorite times of the year, when summer temperatures are easing, but everything is still green and thriving.
We have a few hours of peace without the teenagers at home. DD49 picked DD14 up around 6am to spend time together. DS17 should be back in a couple of hours after his weekend plans fell through. About two hours into their trip, the lady called to cancel, so they ended up finding a campground to stay overnight and are returning today.

Mornin' Mile Stone Day
for me today as I've reached 1,000 days in a row of completing my exercise goal.
That's approximately 2.5 yrs. since I got my smart phone to log it on that app.
Inside stuff day AQI #151 unhealthy for sensitive groups.
So I watered to help plants.
65* 90* with the air quality alert today.
qt journal & planning.
Finished up the last few pages on a book I've been reading.
4,000 weeks good writing but the info. for helps was clear at the back like an afterthought.
Not a self help book like I wanted. Not really any actionable break down of steps for it.
Mostly the authors processing of things in the past I"d already lived through or knew about this
book left me underwhelmed just sayin', not really impressed like other had been. Also was written
during the c-19 thing so the effected mind set of the writer as he wrote. So I marked this one as skippable.

Hi!
Dh and I went and bought a bunch of meat for the freezer this morning. Everything is now in the freezer.
There is a load going in the dryer right now. I need to load the dishwasher.

Hi all. Oddly enough September here and the end of August has been the warmest part of summer. Usually I have had a couple mornings of frost already up here smack in the middle of BC. No frost yet although somewhere is blowing in a little smoke and cut the heat a bit. Dry though.
It doesn't quite feel like put stuff away yet. Firewood? Yes. Ds 26 is planning on helping with that and dad needs some too. I tasted my carrots the other day. The desperately need a little cooler. They get sweeter with a few frosts. Kale is ready. Dill is ready. Potatoes did really poorly probably too unattended at dad's. They were in the weeds and not hilled. The lettuce and spinach have bolted . Cabbage can grow some more yet too.
So yes some fall stuff but I am not ready for all of it yet. And I need a project day that is not physical today. No digging or raking .. I have no intention of helping with firewood or such cause my body is slightly overworked...
And it doesn't feel like it's September and ds should be in school. First week of grade 10 underway. I wonder what difference the year will be . He has changed iep designation from chronic health (seizures as infant with developing delay) to autism. We will see how that changes his support.
Wow 1000 days? Way to go Nancy. That is huge.
Blessed it seems you do have fall already. It will probably come in a hurry in a bit when the hot spell breaks.

I waited for three and a half hours for the rain to stop so we could go for a walk. We took two vehicles to get gas and then headed to the park, thinking the rain was done. Nope. We managed one lap around the trail before it started raining again. We got 22 minutes of walking time before I made the decision not to get completely soaked.
Pizza dough is rising with the intention of using it to indulge my creative cooking love later today. What will I make with it? hum.....

Walked / new shoes are a disappointment so there's that but it made me forget all about the smoke.
Taped my heel & got a package of bandages for it when I went to the market & one yd. sale.
Go info. on rock hounding there are books and maps of places to dig / hunt for rocks and fossils.
Thought of the home schoolers.
Now listening to a the Natl. book festival when Barbara Bush was 1st lady.
Had lunch a bit early took Rx.
Food has been put away.
I stocked up on meat & eggs.

Congratulations to Nancy!
On this very rainy day, organization push in sewing/office has yielded some results. I have a new mouse installed. HRH says I should be much happier. Various files organized better. My dmother's sweet old SS and first-grade teaching images stored better. Stickers organized. Discovered some post-its. Area around sewing machine is emerging, lol.
Thinking cap on for sewing project. A few ideas thrown out because of the time they would take and/or the frustration suspected if I go that way.
Kitchen - an entire lower large cabinet freed up in the kitchen for switching items so that incoming dishwasher will have a space. Sure am going to miss those two drawers, though - they are the most convenient and that will be hard to replace.

we had fun with dd's and the helper with mom
spoke to neighbor - he lost his best friend - heartbreaking
I hope I and dh can be a comfort to him.

Dishwasher did it's thing.
Dh and I both had naps this afternoon. I fell asleep to the sound of football and woke up to the sounds of football, but different teams. Now there is yet another football game on from further west. Tomorrow dh will be watching the Bills because now the NFL is also playing. So far it's been all CFL.
We had shake and bake chicken leg quarters. I wanted mac and cheese from a box, so we also had that along with green and yellow beans that dh picked this morning.
Now I have to re-do the stuff in the dryer and put it away.
