LOL, I have to laugh at your list, almost could be mine from back when I worked outside the home.
8-) be cool, (_) be nice, 8-) be brave - for just three days this week : Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Do you currently work in an accounting firm? (I'm a retired tax CPA - more than 35 years experience, but worked part-time when it wasn't tax season)

Priorities for the week:
-Update cemetery excel spreadsheet and bills to 12.31.2025 (time estimate: two hours?)
-Organize bills for HOA for January, file with bank stmt (time es: 15 minutes, bank accounts are already reconciled, and not many transactions.)
-Get some SU (stamping stuff) out of the house
-Watch a genealogy webinar Legacy Family Tree = an hour
-Camp scholarship info 45 min, including consultation with dh
-Garage clean up 15 min three times a week 45 min for the week
-Move bulletin board by upstairs desk 20 minutes to get it on the wall
-clear desktops upstairs
-Decide what to focus on writing, scheduled "work time" getting something closer to being ready to be published. Must stop being a perfectionist!
-Hanukkah decorations down & put away (30 min? most are down)
-HOA billing for dues, only need to email those
-Home Depot return (30 min? including travel time?)
-Step count 49K
-Dog Trainer make appointment 15 min
-Vet appointment 5 min

How can I have fourteen items this week? Is that excessive? Some won't take long - schedule vet appointment, talk to a dog trainer, webinar will be an hour, a lot of these won't take long.

As long as I'm "planning" here are wellness goals for January:
-alcohol free
-two workouts weekly with trainer
-continue to monitor step count

And genealogy goals for the year:
Education:
-watch two webinars monthly
-genealogy cruise in November with dh - includes about 20 hours of genealogy instruction
Writing:
-submit 4 articles for publication
-decide and work on project for BCG renewal due in Sept 2027
Research:
-research trips to TSLA and McClung libraries as needed
-research trip to Library of Virginia
Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better [wo]man. Ben Franklin

Good to see you here, Twin's Mom!

I post a monthly list, as it's a good way of tackling at least some of those jobs that would otherwise be missed.

TwinsMom, no I'm the accountant in a firm that manufactures and sells stuff.
The reason I couldn't check the "be nice" part of the check list was that my boss is a difficult personality to work with. She tries to undermine my autonomy, doesn't understand much about accounting but thinks she does, and creates processes that complicate my life. Also, she can lie and manipulate people and make unprofessional attacks at people's personalities.
And worst of all, one day she will say harsh things about you and the next day will want to chit-chat with you like you're best friends. Which is why, this week, I couldn't say I was nice at work.
I'd happily chat with you about accounting firms, as it's something I consider sometimes as a way to get out of my current job : joining an accounting firm. I think I'd like to work with other accountants. Just so someone else in the building understands my needs and my exasperations !
