Re: Health and Fitness March 2026
Thank you for starting us for March, Lady M.
I'm going to continue with my pelvic floor exercises, the water and the sit to stand reps, as I think these are lifetime necessities.
I'm also going to continue with the light box for another month, as although the weather is finally improving and we're getting some sun, and on those days I do feel more energised without any extra "help" , we're still getting plenty of grey, cloudy and wet days, which makes me feel like hibernating.
If March does turn out to be gloriously sunny (I can dream!
) then I'll be able to stop the lightbox, so maybe I can think of another healthy habit to take its place?

Thanks for the start, LadyM !
I'll join again, for the accountability, even if I don't post as regularly as others.
Kittykatt I wish you a beautifully sunny weather ! Any healthy habit you're thinking of, to replace this one when the amount of light you need is provided by the sun ?
My 5 daily habits :
MR - basic morning routine - Move C/W - either Cardio or Weights, daily - MicroMove - tiny times of movement at payroll or during the day - Time for me - to read, maybe write, maybe think, maybe journal - K - pelvic floor exercises. 1 minute minimum, at bedtime.
In March, I will do like I did in January and February, I track them on an index card near my bed and I intend to report regularly.

Re: Health and Fitness March 2026
It brought a smile to my face to see the H&F posts this morning.
March H&F habit focus = Bedtime routine starts at 8pm
1
I am seeking a solution to increase my sleep hours. I would love to get 8 hours of sleep but would be happy with 7 hours.
Sleeping later in the morning isn't possible because ===
#1 I'm naturally a morning person and love to wake up early
#2 I have teenagers to get up and going for school, work and church.
I have never been someone who takes a nap. I have tried to train myself to nap but it ends in frustration.
If I can't sleep in.....can't nap.....the only solutions seems to be going to bed earlier. Going to bed earlier seemed weird to me, but I need my sleep!
Thankfully I am one of those persons that can be woken up during the night, take care of whatever the situation is, and immediately return to sleep. I am using that ability to feel comfortable with leaving the teens on their own as I go off to bed. They aren't totally unsupervised - there is LIfe360 that tattles on their location, there are 6 cameras that records activity around our home if there is a need to know. The teens do text me after I am in bed almost every night asking a question, I text them back with the answer and then turn over and go back to sleep.
All this chatter to say.....my goal is to go to bed at 8pm.

Lady M, that is an innovative solution - sleep is so important!
FFB, good to "see" you here -I know it's difficult for you to post frequently. I'm currently mulling over a couple of habits to choose between when I no longer need the light box. Maybe starting my bedtime routine earlier (not necessarily getting into bed earlier, but starting my before bed routine earlier, so I'm not feeling rushed, and have a chance to wind down. Or possibly journaling.on a daily basis.- it doesn't have to be an essay, maybe just a few thoughts?

Sunday:
I've done my exercises for today: 1 heart

Its only afternoon, here, so I can't record my water yet:
I've done 30 minutes with the lightbox: 1 heart

Sit to stand 5 repetitions: 1 heart

Happy March goals everyone!
“Move a muscle, change a thought” is my March mantra.
Arm weights
Spend time outside at sunset daily to walk and set circadian rhythm for a good nights sleep (does that work? We will find out)
Keep working on:
Pelvic exercises
Exercise
Try something new
Sample wines
Routines
Pets - brush, manicures

I love seeing all the different H&F habits being worked on. There are many of those that I need to focus on in future months. I'm cheering for all of our efforts and successes.
