Morning blessed…

I’m working on my morning routines and picking up some footprints.

My lovey-dovey is sitting in the window. It takes 2 to 4 days to build a nest and then to lay the eggs. It takes 14 days for the eggs to hatch and then another 14 days for the fledglings to be able to fly. Daddy Dove is always close by. Yesterday lovey left her nest around 10 o’clock and when I went to bed, she still wasn’t there. This morning when I got up to drink my coffee, she was sitting in the window. When I went outside to look at her daddy, Dove flew by and sat on top of my roof. Once the eggs are laid both doves, take turns sitting on them to incubate them. Once the chicks are born, both mama and daddy Dove produce a milk like substance in their throat, which they feed to their chicks. Eventually, as they get older, they will switch things over to bug bugs and seeds.

It’s supposed to be 90° here today a record high ugh. I have a couple of projects I want to work on in the house and I’m hoping my son will show up to connect my computer.

We also need to pick up Sweeties computer that I took to the shop yesterday it’s ready, but I don’t know if we’ll get to it until Monday.

Good morning! My day is cut out for me from 3:30 on -- livestream followed by girls' night. So if I'm going to get anything done today, I should get going doing it. Or I could say the heck with it. ;)

I suppose I should go upstairs and fetch hangers so I can wash a load of DH's shirts. I'm pretty much caught up on everything else -- although maybe I need to do darks first. They're in the top basket of the sorter, and with the other baskets (except for the shirts) mostly empty, it could get a bit top-heavy. I'll have to give it a look-see. I think I left a load in the dryer to be folded, too.

I started cleaning off the top of the cedar chest yesterday. I've got a couple of stacks of linens that need to go elsewhere... and one that needs to go in the appropriate drawer of the linen closet. Unfortunately, that drawer is already jam-packed, so I need to empty it out and see if there are things that can be gotten rid of or if rearranging will help. Otherwise, I've got to figure out where to put these things. I think that's enough of a project for today, especially for a short day.

blessed, I'm looking forward to what I will learn this coming week. DC will be on spring break, so I figure, without the need to drive hither and yon, it will be a good time to rework my cards. I've been keeping track of the order I do them each day. The morning ones, through cleaning up breakfast, are pretty set. The bedtime routines, less so. And I don't see much of a pattern to the middle of the day -- hopefully I'll get a better idea when I analyze my cards.

We are having a warm day here, but nothing like Rose's 90°. It's supposed to get to about 60° here; it's already in the high 50's, so might break 60.

Look at Nancy go, just knocking those tasks out! That should leave plenty of time for creativity.

I hope all who come after -- and those who are too busy to peek in -- have a great day!
I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped. -- Prince Humperdinck

Good morning

It has been an bit unusual day already. I told one of DS17 friends he needs to leave. He crossed the line of what is acceptable words. I am an easy going person 99.999% of the time, but if you threaten one of my grandkids, you are no longer welcome in my home. I'm not mad and still like this fella, but I'm not letting it go. I accepted his apology for the words he said, and I do not think he would actually do what he said but that doesn't make what he said disappear. It was all very calm but I was firm. He learned firsthand = Do not awaken the Momma Bear!

We have 3 extra teens here so I need to keep them calm. They are willing (and eager) to go warrior mode to protect me, but that is NOT NEEDED. Sheeze! Chill out everyone. It was words. The fella apologized. The fella is gone.

I am in the process of making another pot of my soup. It is never the same, but sorta. Multi source of protein with about half dozen kinds of vegetables. Then comes the spice cabinet addition - cumin, turmeric, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, etc. It might sound like a horrible combination, but my taste buds love it.

the hours of the day are slipping by so fast. Some days I can keep up with the hourly pathway cards, and other days they are there for the moments that I take a break. update and review what has been accomplished and what is still waiting for time & focus. The important things are taken care of, and the other things are acknowledged and then ignored.

I cooked & then sat down to eat my second meal of the day and relax a bit.

Dh didn't have a good night's sleep, so he went back to bed after coffee and I went to a Saturday morning stitching group. No knitters in this particular group. It was so quiet that we could have heard a pin drop for most of the 3 hour session. We were all concentrating on our work.

We will do the grocery shopping tomorrow. If dh can't go, I will go alone.

Dh is having a General Tao's chicken meal from the freezer and I will have chicken pad Thai from the freezer.

t's a very windy and rainy day here. It's warm out. If there wasn't any wind and rain it would be warm enough to wear shorts.

Just watched our favourite men's curling players play his last game before retirement from being a player. No idea what he will do in the future. I think he might become a coach.
