Sorry I was MIA today. Didn't make it to the Village until evening. Was running a fever, napped, but was very busy today, too.

I had a sinus head ache today. Freash air helps so glad that I was able to get out side and do some yd. Work two more trash cans loaded up with yd. Trash.
I'm so happy that we got a stopper for the tub drain so dgd whos fighting the cold could bathe and steam helps that.
Got the surfaces in my office mostly cleared yea for that progress! Now for the closet it is not to bad but I am going to pray for clarity ordervand help from above as I move forward with this. Dgd will not be here tomorrow that should help.
Did the traffic areas in the kit. & dining rm. After dinner.

It's been a good day. Worked slowly but steadily. My car, which has been sitting unused through several days of cold, started right up with no hesitation this afternoon. 
I had a nice nap and woke up to the 2 cats snuggled rightnext to me on either side.
We have even been lucky with our weather. Yes, it has been extremely cold, but other parts of the country have gotten snow or freezing rain along with their cold. We have only had the cold and wind, which are quite enough to battle without precipitation. I had bright sunshine streaming in the windows for part of the day.
Managed to do a little sewing this evening.
Loved reading the reports from our travelers. Oh, that reminds me to include this link that reminded me of Kathryn's decisions about what to put in the suitcases.

This blog is for creating capsule wardrobes and she does a lot of examples of packing for trips. She also has done a series on wearing an outfit to work and then making minor adjustments to go out for the evening without going home to change. Another interesting idea is used in today's post, picking out clothes using the colors from a favorite art piece, whether it's a painting, a scarf, or a piece of pottery.
I like it for the ideas of creating a lot of outfits from relatively few pieces of clothing. Not that I can wear many of her style choices -- in fact, most of her style choices don't work for my body type. But the theory for building a coordinating wardrobe seems to make sense.

Hoping Sadie and Mr. Emptynester are both getting good night's sleeps, Sadie in preparation for successful surgery and Mr. Emptynester in recuperation from his procedure.
Hoping Ivy's fever and Kathryn's and Nancy's headaches are completely gone.
BookSaver, that's a cheerful image of your cats surprising you after a nap. HRH reported that Tobias nudged him out of his sleeping space all night long last night. HRH is much warmer than I am at night, and evidently Tobias was considering him a space heater on a cold night. I never even realized it was happening.
We are having a virtual repeat of last night's weather, maybe a degree or 2 higher. But I understand the more westerly areas (from me) are warming up well. Best wishes for everyone whose deep freeze lifts so that any damage can be seen, etc. I was thinking about OKay's MPB and hoping there will be no problem getting everything back to normal.
Also, OKay, as you know without me telling you, those who are surgeons may be more likely to see surgery in a patient's future. I can certainly relate to the conversation Mr. OKay had with your dr today. As my (old, gray and wise) hormone dr told me when we discussed a specialist for my thyroid, "When a hammer sees a nail, it thinks it's supposed to hit it." (smile) (Then he recommended a specialist he admired because of a reputation for avoiding surgery.)
