Hi Harriet! Ha! I do some things well. . . I will follow through on several meetings today: coffee with dh, haircut appt., tutoring.

I am re-running our dw this morning b/c for some reason, it didn't run correctly last night. The soap dispenser was a mushy mess and there were some soap blobs on some of the dishes.

I have checked with the girls on some schedule details before they walked out the door. I've also emailed dh's lead research scientist guy again to check on another date for the surprise bday party; I'm inviting all dh's grad students, 32, I believe. Though, dh just fired one this week. It happens from time to time. Dh is good to them, though. He'll keep him on through this semester, and then he'll let him go with an MS. I'm sure he'll help him land on his feet somewhere else too. Anyhow, dh and a colleague work closely together and share grad students which is why the number is insanely large, though even 10 grad students is a lot for one prof. The main point: I'm trying to make sure the party is scheduled clear of their major deadlines.

This will be a running around day for me, about 7 hours worth, I'm estimating.

PODA:
- prep for tutoring
- a.m. routine
- 10 - coffee with dh @ coffee shop - 11:30
- 11:30 leave for haircut appt. in town 30 minutes away
- haircut 12 - 1-ish; she tends to run late so maybe more like 1:15. That would be pretty good for her. .
- drop off some groceries at the home of one of my moms group small group moms. She is collecting things to share with a neighbor who is struggling, and she happens to live in the same village as my hair stylist!
- home by 2:15, I'm hoping. I'll have 30 minutes to play with here
- 2:45 leave for tutoring
- 5:00 home from tutoring
- 5:15/5:30 leave to take dd15 to the uni honors band weekend
- out to dinner tonight

Not much time for housecleaning. . .

I need to continue with paper taming - I never seem to get as far as I want. Have answered several temple emails this morning already - we have homeless sleeping on our steps this week, (where's the compassion?) question re signage that someone stuck up and is still there months later, frat boys on our parking lot (permitted, asked them to help keep an eye on building) and noticed that bulletin editor has incorrect info re: who is on board. One hundred and ten days and some 15 hours left....

Must follow through on clean up for dcleaning lady also.

Dh in a snit overnight.

Sorry, I've been MIA again.

DH's procedure went very well on Tuesday. It was delayed twice because of emergency surgery for the Dr. But finally was finished by 4ish. He had another 99% blockage. Dr.says he should feel more energy now.

Night at the motel was not restful as street noise kept me awake. Finally turned on the light about 2 and read for the rest of the night.

DH released at about 9 on Wednesday and we got home around noon. Stopped at BK for new Ranchero burger which gave both of us major GI upset. Slept most of the afternoon.

Yesterday I moved the furniture out of the living room. The only big piece I moved was the day bed and it comes apart so wasn't heavy. Will be leaving electric fireplace and lazy boys in the room as they said they will work around them.

Today is moving more things to MH - DH's clothes, food from fridge, washing clothes and odds and ends. Then tomorrow is scrubbing/vacuuming floors and groceries.

Sunday I want to go to church before we head out. So we will see.

It is still dark here and the coyotes are singing. They sound so close I expect to see in look in the window. I think I will wait a bit before going out to the MH. Maybe after sunrise a bit.

DH didn't think the road reports looked too bad, so he went to work.

I had hoped to stay in all day but turns out must run 1 local errand. I'm hoping that if I wait until close to noon, the roads will be in better shape than now. Currently we have dense fog, and then the rest of the day will be freezing drizzle, freezing rain, sleet, and maybe some snow. Doesn't that sound lovely?

Makes me glad that today is desk day with a stack of paper to process. Other stuck-indoors tasks include catching up the laundry and dishes.

I am resisting the call of the LEGO. I'm holding them out as a reward. If I work hard through the next few days, then I can play with the toys sometime next week.

Hit a snag with the hat I'm sewing, but I slept on it and think I figured out an easy solution.

Need another cup of coffee before dealing with paper ...

Today I need to follow through on journaling, & laundry getting to put away. Making the bed, doing daily stuff before kids arrive. I need to bag up plastic containers on the deck.

Change email setting on pintrest yea done w/ this it will help me SO much & save time too yippie!

Unsubbed from 2nd most annoying e- mail. Making progress on this. Deleted annoying ones done now.

Next week looks like spring here weather wise for us.
I put away the 6 eggs we got need to boil some and make deviled eggs.

Dgks are on the mend after fighting colds.

After I had posted our start, I immediately noticed that both DeeClutter and OKay were checking in! Either of them could have been more interesting, so I half-wished I'd held off to see their thoughts!

Emptynester, that sounds like great news for Mr. Emptynester as far as feeling well and having stamina in the future. I can't find that burger on our local menu, but I'd imagine it was onions that caused the distress. I can't eat the onions on the Har dee's (Carl's) burgers. They always use red ones for color, and they are hot and strong. I've noticed the same thing with our Bi - Lo supermarket's salads, which are great values otherwise. In order to get the appetizing color, they choose an onion that is anything but mild. Editing - oh, wait, jalapenos? If that's part of what makes it "ranchero", then that may be it!

TaDa from yesterday - Dfil Joe's jeans found, yay, the exact brand and size/type he likes. Struck out on the child safety latch for cabinet.

Today's e-mail declutter and the candidate for "most irritating" this morning: Dom inos Pizza. I don't have any idea how they got my e-address in the first place.

Today's progress on projects - home improvement store (HD) for child-proof safety latch (finally), LED lightbulb for other house's hallway, African Violet food and... ... LED fixture for other house's porch. You knew I would have to give in on that light fixture question, didn't you? HRH says it is just too hard to change lightbulb in existing fixture and he genuinely needs the new one, so that's that. I'm kinda sad because my mother loved that fixture (old black-and-glass lantern look). I may ask him to save it... ...

We did the store run for breakfast after the school run, and also had an omelet while out. We were near the checkout when HRH noticed a Gorilla Ladders brand aluminum work platform (kind of a folding bench), usually $48 on sale for $30 (good deal if anyone needs one). He was very interested and was telling me how much easier and safe it would make painting most rooms, for a tall enough person. Then he noticed the finer print. Well, he's a tall enough person all right, and a big guy in general. He told me (and the saleslady) "Oh well, I can't use it. I'd have to paint naked to stay under the weight limit and my wife won't let me."

Hello everyone. Been away on other projects here in the house, and just had to get caught up today to see how everyone was doing. Glad to see MT home with DH, glad it was successful but sorry for the no sleep. Happy belated birthday wishes to Lynlee, your day sounded like fun. Glad Sadie is home, hope the recovery isn't too rough. Do know the first few days are the worst.

Dee, has DH decided to wait to go back up north? Cowinkie, Sunny had a plastic little red sewing machine. I don't think (?) it even took thread. It was definitely a toy. She will probably remember.

Got my calendar project almost finished. Also got more than 6 years of pictures which were mixed and undated organized and stored in a photo storage box indexed by year and by occasion with index guides. I could not believe one box held that many and now I wish I had counted them. Nice big overflowing basket is now completely empty. I will say the same as I did the last time I did a big photo project: I will keep this up so the project does not get so big or hard to do.

One more project to do, organize another box of records that has been sitting for a lot of years on a top shelf. Need to copy some things, make a journal of stuff, and I really hope this will not take ages like the last 2 projects.

Well...yesterday I answered everyone's voices in my head, but I couldn't get my fingers moving on the keyboard at the same time. Anyway, it was nice to read about.....
Sadie and Mr. MT both at home now and recouperating; hoping MT is catching up on sleep.

BookSaver, yes, Legos are tiny. A year or so ago when dgkids visited from VA, dgs12 was excited about his Legos. He would sit and build those sets for hours; he was good at following the directions and getting them together quickly!

Harriet, your dh has a wonderful sense of humor!

Yesterday was errand day and we made several stops. We now have a full pantry; lots of veggies, etc. for turkey-rice soup and chili. I also have much needed ink for my printer.

We have some clouds here today, but bright sun also, temp is now 77*. BookSaver, and others, stay safe in the freezing rain and yucky weather!

Today I will follow through with some office work: changing printer ink and connect computer to print, pay a few bills due. Then head to my sewing machine to do some mending. I have two sheets with tears that will be patched with pieces from another sheet. I also hope to start weekly cleaning.

Harmony, I'm sad to say, try as I might, I cannot remember that little red sewing machine you mentioned! Wow, I wonder what else I may have forgotten! I did enjoy seeing pictures of Lisa's sewing machine!

I've had a half ham salad sandwich and glass of V-8 fusion for lunch; time to get busy!

Re: legos dgds used to get a mag. Of legos stuff I think he has out grown it now. They went to the legos theme park.

Dgd help make a card for dmoms bday got it ready to go and just missed the mail.

I have done a round here is made bed dgd helped w/ that too. I put my clothes away spiffed up the bedroom. Need a plan for lunch.
