I stopped by for a minute this morning but didn't have time to post.
AFter doing the first 3 hours of my normal schedule this morning, DH and I went to our annual eye exams. Both of us were dilated which made for an interesting driving when we got out of the doctor office. We both have eye implants so were doubly pleased to hear the doc say = "there has been no change to your eyes - come see me in a year."
We went by SAm's for 1000 lbs of salt then stopped at Altanta Bread Co to have lunch to give our eyes enough time to return to normal so it was safe to drive home.
I have an hour at home before leaving to attend LO school program.

Re: Follow Through Friday
I'm awake, had breakfast on the balcony in my dressing gown (it is lovely and warm this morning), s2s and am giving only half my attention to the lecturer.
My follow through for the day is to finish my to-do list from yesterday.
My favourite walking sandals flipped over this morning and I discovered 3" x 1" of the sole missing on the left one. Can't feel the difference, they are fine for onboard, and they won't get fixed until Honolulu. The other two ports are too sleepy and small to have a cobbler.

Re: Follow Through Friday
Got all my running around done. My hair is now styled and gorgeous. LOL! I'm now printing out one last activity for my tutee. It's pretty long so I might save it for next week.
I'm leaving in 5 so I'm going to go pack up.

Re: Follow Through Friday
My follow through today, was getting up early, running to town to get my bra-band-length hair cut into a chin-length bob. My barber said I was 1" - 1.5" shy of donating it. Says I can grow it out again, but it's a monster to wake in the wee a.m. hours with heavy hair making my head, neck and shoulders sweat from getting too hot.
Sure, donating my hair would be honorable, but I'm just not in the "mood" to grow it back out. Barber says it grows fast, feel like she's strong-arming me, it'd be noble to donate, I'm turning 62 next week and "FEEL" like my long-hair girlish days are over!
It wouldn't be so bad, but it was driving me absolutely nuts for the last 2 months and think, 'do I want to go through all that again?' and the time involved, too.
Am I selfish to not want to donate my hair for helping others?
Now I'm starting to feel guilty.
I look so much better, feel so much better, so it's my hair, I'll decide, once it slowly starts growing again, if I want to donate. It IS a neat idea.
I have hair scrunchies, hair clips, and know how to fix braids and my hair up. If I lived through long hair before, I can do it again. I'll think it over. I was told it grows about 1/2" a month or more. My hair grows fast. I ought to measure it, calculate how long it'd be before I have the date of the right length and take it from there.
Got a couple more b-day cards, traffic was bad once coming home, and the rain was only bad once. We'll go out next week to celebrate my b-day, too, to eat Mexican food, probably, unless I change my mind again.
Fickle pickle.
I hope MT and Mr. MT get to feeling better soon.
Am praying for Sadie's recovery and healing, too.
Praying for Dee and Mr. Dee and his health.

Re: Follow Through Friday
Good afternoon y'all...
I have no follow through today
My morning routines were done, footprints picked up, went to the gym, library, grocery store and then put gas in the car. Came home made Sweetie a big lunch...he needs to eat more, wish that was my problem...roasted some almonds and then watched a sappy movie with Sweetie.
This is my first time checking in. Have dinner half way started. I need to spend some time on my home tomorrow. Nothing major as I have been keeping up with it as I go. I'd like to work on the garage, but will wait until the temps get a bit warmer. That should happen in a few days.
Glad everyone seems to be feeling ok and well on the road to recovery. I'm scootin' out of here........

Re: Follow Through Friday
Hi everyone! I successfully got out of bed in time to check fluids on my car - low radiator fluid, no surprise. After the party, I took care of that and an oil change at Jiffy Lube. Unsuccessful run to the library where I wanted to get Dr. Who DVDs for DD11 (and me). We decided that the party will be a monthly thing, at 11:00 on Fridays. While I enjoy the group and the time, I hope I get a job soon and don't go much. I have changed some light bulbs that have been bugging me and cleaned their fixtures. The porch light required getting out the ladder. I don't think it had ever been cleaned before.
After I post this, I will check my email, then deal with applying for health insurance. Must do the latter before 15 Jan. As a reward (if I finish soon enough), I will head out to the knit/crochet group at the yarn shop. They close at 7, so I will have time to do some home stuff, like organize some passwords and declutter/clean. I should probably finish unpacking my suitcase too. The cats will be very disappointed, they love sleeping in it.

Re: Follow Through Friday
It is raining. And will be all night into tomorrow. . . . On top of all that snow.
Yuck! It is becoming a slushy mushy mess out there. Some intersections are pretty deep in water already. We've been above freezing all day and will continue to be through tomorrow at least.
I'm not sure what I'll do for the rest of the night. Maybe I'll clean up the kitchen and then go to bed early.

Re: Follow Through Friday
Amazing -I don't even remember CI this morning. I've been following through on things most of the day. Was trying to follow through on reports. Got a very nice email from our Treasurer tonight saying, "Remember, Dee, you have to deal with the confusing mess I send you. Thank you for doing an awesome job and being so accurate." Made me feel good.
Was at church working longer than I planned this morning, but guess we finally got it all together. We were having big problems with the copier. Hopefully, after repairs today, it's back in top notch order.
Dh and I are going to Sebring, FL tomorrow to visit some friends from GP. DD is going to Bradenton to visit her dd. Had family therapy, via phone conference yesterday, and gd15 ended up walking out the door. Short session with no results. But gd did tell her she was petitioning to move to Phase 3 this week. REALLY?? She'll be lucky to get out of Phase 2 for some time at this rate.
Going to get to bed and get some shut eye -I hope. See you all in the morning.
MT, glad Mr. MT is hopefully going to feel better soon. Know so well what he's (and you) going through. Well wishes to both of you.
No, Harmony, we are looking for a half-way decent deal for air fare. Imagine he'll be going up within the week. He's obviously not feeling well -even dd is getting worried. This after I told DS-A the other day that his dad was feeling better????Dee, has DH decided to wait to go back up north?
