Thanks to lucylee for the review work - those are 2 movies I certainly won't go to see. Graphic is my red-flag word, for sure, so I'll leave "Lone" for someone else. As for "August", that just sounds so sad, and opposite of uplifting or pleasant for a movie-going experience. It almost makes me want to ask - was there some laughter from the audience at those strange fight scenes, or was it so obviously tragic, with the drugs, etc., that it didn't even get nervous laughter?

TaDa - the Department of Transportation has deemed me worthy. For what? I guess worthy to pay extra automobile taxes? This has taken forever. I have carried double insurance for nearly 2 weeks, because my ddad's insurer was afraid I'd have to prove they kept their insurance current until today (I didn't have to). And even today, thank goodness for HRH being with me, not that I needed a male perspective or needed help from him, really, but for moral support and a little levity through a long process. The situation was already confusing to the folks there, and it took the man calling 2 other people over to help. (Legal documents showing that someone has the right to make decisions for an estate just don't come up very often, I guess.) But it was made worse by the fact that my driver's license shows my maiden name and the documents showed my two married names. So I had to go through the whole "doing business as" stuff, and ended up signing 6 documents in total while there, plus lots of initialing.

Next up - call ddad's insurer and make the end of that insurance retroactive.

Have done a lot of bathroom straightening today. Have not surface-cleaned much, since I know Monday starts the bathroom Focus cleaning week.

My e-mail batch declutter was B and Noble, but I didn't choose to unsubscribe.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IVY

Beautiful day here in AZ. We are in a streak now of mid 70's and we are loving it. So, why are we going to go sit in a movie theater in a few hours - for a few hours? Because we are seeing LONE SURVIVOR! We hear it is a fantastic story. Will meet Cowinkie and Sweetie and other friends there. Then on to Chinese Buffet. How much better could it get?

Our dd arrives from San Jose Friday at noon, She came last year to see us also and I can hardly wait to show her some different places from last year. She loved meeting Cowinkie and Sweetie and will again.

SADIE, I have been following your surgery progress and hurting for you. I have had 2 lower back surgeries and all that pain is not fun. Hope you are in perfect condition soon.

Love hearing about your cruise Kathryn.

Have a wonderful day!

I second the report of beautiful weather. Only had to have the heater on for a short time this morning to warm it up to "taking shower temp". Do hate to see my body steam after a shower when the MH air is cold.

Felt lousy all day yesterday and didn't leave the MH. Thought I was going to cough a lung as allergies were rampant. Wind has gone down today so I don't think it will be so bad.

Watching neighbors across the way get a new windshield. They caught a rock back in the states after a whole summer in Alaska.

Time to get dressed and be social.

I am deleting apps. That I do not like or use on this tablet. Sent dson a message that we need help disposing of out dated pc x2. He is our tech. Guy. So I will just have a tablet.

I am so over msf windows and concerns about gov. Spyware when we are on line and that slowing it down. Sigh!

I have done 20 min. On the gaselle, put a few donations in the trunk dumped dumped trash so some progress. Airing out house now after turning on the wrong burner.

Time to let the hens out & do chicken chores. Got 12 eggs by ten am :D X

Making progress on deleting emails in the other e-mail that I do not use that much.

Wathching 2nd gardening show. Has me wondering why they can't spread them out a bit more.

Thanks Lucyl. For the movie reviews that was helpful, we well skip Julia & Merrill's one this go round. I will just have to shut my eyes in the one with Mark Walburg in it. We may wait for it to come out on net. Flicks. We are going to the cheap movie Captin Phillips with Tom Hanks in it.

Weird, I had trouble connecting to the posting page.

I'm up. Have been up for hours because I woke at 6:25 for the bathroom and stayed up to watch the sunrise at 7:06. It was a lovely dawn over the ocean.

I'm also s2s and have tidied the room some. I, of course, will s2s two more times today, once after a swim and a second time before dressing for dinner. It is formal night tonight so I shall also do my nails at some point today, perhaps just before a lecture so they can dry during the lecture.

Two lectures today, trivia, tea, other meals, swimming or biking and reading and writing. Lots to do. My breakfast will be here in a moment. Dh has already gone upstairs for his.

Toodles!

:D THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL B-DAY WISHES!!!! :D I'm "62" today- officially at 7:25 p.m. this evening! That's when DMom said I made my debut into the world. Said she remembers because she was so tired from labor, at 7:20 p.m. she said, "What time is it NOW?" She wanted to get me into the world and get it over and done with! Anyway, then her troubles started. I was allergic to all types of milks, I cried all the time for a bottle, got fat, and my pediatrician yelled at her, "If you don't put this baby (I was 12 months old) on a DIET, she's never going to learn how to walk!" So that's my story, of my early years. Also, when I was 18 months old, I ate ant poison, was found unconscious, got rushed 35 - 40 min. to the hospital, had my poor tummy pumped and from what Dad said, I was NOT a happy camper when he saw me afterwards. I screamed and screamed. I was in a crib in the hospital, so scared.

Thanks for the b-day wishes. :D

Nancy, I hope you get your work on your tablet fixed up okay. I'm glad you found the wrong burner was on! :!: Could have been very serious! Glad you're airing out now and are safe. :D I hope you're feeling much better by now, too.

MT, You're so LUCKY to have Beautiful weather! :D We have heavy fog and a smog alert here. :o We're to get clouds breaking to sun though. :D I'm sorry you felt lousy all day yesterday. I hope you're a LOT better today, too.

Oh, Norma! YOU have another beautiful day! Lucky YOU! :D Enjoy your visit with your DD, too!

Sadie, I hope your periods of sleep are increasing, meaning RESTFUL sleep, and the pain's less and you're healing well. My condolences out to you and your DH on the loss of your dfriend, too. Hope you get your nap in bed, too.

Kathryn, THANK YOU for keeping us posted on your cruise! It's a good read! :D The mall walk sounds wonderful. Do shopping, too? :?: Have a Happy-rest-of-your-trip, too! :D

Harriet, It's nice we have Lucylee to leave us reviews of movies. Isn't it. :D Thank you for that. I'm glad you're worthy! My goodness. That's interesting your driver's license showed your maiden name. It sounds like a LOT of document-signing went on!

Cowinkie, Thanks for the Merry B-day wishes. I'm waving back to you, after you get your shower. ;)

Twins' and Helia, I start WW on the 20th, using my old at home WW plan. It's either from 2006 or 2008. I've got points finders books from both years. I know I bought one at Amazon used. Can't recall which one though. Willpower Wednesday's hard for me because I'll eat b-day cake. :D I have the points calculator, the activity points finder, points finder books, the fat little book where I take the quiz to see how many points to eat daily, but don't know a LOT about WPA or earning activity points extra, but I know you can eat them up.

Dee, Your campground get-together at Sarasota's Dutch Heritage Inn probably has wonderful buffet food! :D :D

DH sprayed Endust on the Swiffer dust mop, to dust mop the fir floors, leaving it scented-smelling so good. Smells like lemons to me and so clean! Company's coming at 1:30 p.m.

I keep putting in the tracking numbers for DGD's mailer with 3 hats I made her inside, because I was hoping it'd be delivered today, so I could get sweet email photos of her in her hats. Dson gave Ddil a memory card photo thing for her phone, with tons of memory, so she sends such wonderful photos. (I think I've got the tracking # memorized by now!)

Am I supposed to be feeling "OLD" at 62? :?: I don't feel decrepit or ancient today. I woke up singing, feel "normal" for me, ;) and I guess it's all in your mind. I'm still the same old silly person I was yesterday, only today I'm a year older. 62 is a milestone, too. S. S. age.

Have a great Willpower Wednesday, Everyone, and thank you for the b-day wishes, too. It means a lot. :D

Hello everybody. It took a ton of time to cuop because the phone kept ringing.

Happy Birthday, Ivy! That is quite a birthday story. Here is a cup of coffee to go with your birthday cake today.... turns head to view... ~0)l

Sadie, hope you are able to sleep in your bed soon. Dr. told DH not to sleep in his bed but he did right away, no recliner for him; he's the most stubborn person I know. Used an extra pillow also painkiller at night...but I know he's not typical with his high pain tolerance. I'd have been in a recliner for a month I think...

Dee, did DH get off on his trip?

Harriet, we put Notice of Commencements in the public records (at clerk's office) all the time and they make us write next to OUR name: prepared by and return to...and they use a red star rubber stamp next to that note...so the notice never goes to the wrong place. Did you take it in person or mail it? If we forget that, they always stop and make us do it...and would never accept with notary sig. not right...too bad for all your troubles.

Also sorry to read how much stamps are going up AGAIN. I think I will bite the bullet and buy at least enough for the rest of the year ahead of time...

MT, hope DH begins to feel better. Hugs to (Twins) for all the temple problems and DSis house stress and DMom. You have so much on your plate.

Thinking of temple / church volunteer work, I am really thinking of stepping down on my post... I think I've done this 3 years and the work load has been heavier and heavier with this particular leader because she has such a servant heart and gets us involved in helping everybody she hears about with a need. But sometimes I feel like I cannot support either with energy or financially a lot of the stuff and feel bad about that...so praying about what to do.

Harriet, DD's hairstyle is cute. I have long layers now and heading towards gradually getting it shorter. I asked hairdresser what's "in" these days and she said people are mostly stuck on their asymmetrical hair styles which your DD's hairstyle is (one side longer) so she is right in style now.

Have not been feeling tip-top. Saturday I really crashed, a few days before that I crashed, and Monday afternoon I crashed. Anxiety level just zoomed up (sure sign my thyroid medicine wasn't working enough) and I slept 3 hours in the afternoon; Tuesday I slept most on and off all day... I just hate this. The moment I feel good I start in doing stuff but the energy (normal) doesn't seem to last. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that my Dr. seems to think if I'm in the "normal" range with my bloodwork all is fine. I read that most people feel better if their labs are at the top of "normal" range.... or perhaps it is something else we haven't nailed down yet...

Still I have managed to get 3 projects done that have been OMM for years. Each piggy-backed on the next, with all the information useful... so I'm glad for that progress. House is still ok, though I had to resort to the DishW as standing at the sink washing was too much for me again...

DH is out working a full day for the first time in months  and I'm hoping he is ok out there. It is chilly, and I've heard some thunder. We have another cold spell rolling in.

Done:
x heard back and scheduled coffee with friend for next week
x pianist called and we have a rehearsal on the calendar for Monday, with the possibility of a 2nd one on Friday.
x a.m. routine - except for unloading dw.
x dh called. Aggravating stuff going on with church. . .Dh was positive about my teaching as it now is, though.
x lunch with ds, who shared possibly good news. He may have an opportunity to work with a prof he had for a class last semester! Ds very much enjoyed the class and did extremely well in it. Ds isn't sure exactly what this means, but they're going to meet next week to talk about things. I encouraged him to continue getting his resume together for the job fair happening later this month for summer internships. . . He agreed. I don't know if he'll do that in a timely fashion or not.
x got cash from a machine while I was on campus
x gassed my van

Next:
- work on teaching until I leave to take dd15 to oboe.
- work on teaching while dd15 is at oboe.. . . .
- drop off dd15 at the school for synchro
- take dd18 and GG to Noodles & Co. for dinner

I hate typing on the tablet but love the speed of it. It is so much better than trying to txt on a phone.

I do not like to read well enough to use those programs but I use em for other stuff lib. Books notes etc. So I am keeping 'em.

I do not want Obama care bc of security concerns they need to fix it before I even consider applying w no pc thst could be a prom. As well!

Thanks Ivy for your perspective about the burner I needed that!
