hello dear ladies

crawled out of my cave and went to WM!

DH drove and had to help with seat belt, I sang please release me if he forgot to un-click the seat belt

The girls were so happy to see me and I wanted to check my schedule as they have cut hours, They only cut me back 1.5 hours, so not bad at all.

Got some laughs from some as when they asked what happened to me I told an interesting story about skydiving and landing in a tree!

But finished out by saying it was more interesting than the truth which was arthritis, bone spurs and torn rotator cuff.

Wanted to add to the hair care topic: I'm a Dove gal, shampoo, conditioner, soap and deoderant. Get compliments on hair and skin so it works for me.

I'm currently using the Pantene Age Defy hair products. I bought a 3 product trial pack in Los Angeles. Loved the shampoo and conditioner. Love my Redken product more but it isn't being made anymore. The third item in the trial pack was a hair thickener. Used it once and didn't like it (you are to use it 3 weeks in a row before noticing big improvement. On the ship I'm washing my hair daily or at most every 36 hours and to spend the time massaging in the thickener seemed like a waste of time, especially since I don't like product building up in my hair – it makes it limper.

Sadie: the soap the ship bought for me was Dove hypoallergenic. I haven't used it for years (we only use soap from hotels at home so 'big bars' are unusual for us. Love the soap but that's no surprise since it was the soap I used before switching to using up hotel soap.

the Suave one a try.

Kathryn, It's nice to hear from you again.

I use Axe for Men on my hair. It cleanses so nicely, leaves my hair so shiny and nice-looking. I use anti-bacterial Dial soap in the shower, but use Dove for shaving and on my face. I got in the habit of using Dial after rotator cuff surgery in 2010. I felt cleaner on it, less of a lotion-all-over-me feeling. More squeaky clean. I love the Dove for shaving because it gives softness to the skin in gentle places and on legs and on my face daily. I think they're both wonderful. DH uses Irish Spring, I think.

The Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl and they'll play against the Denver Broncos, who happen to be BFF's team, who is a. k. a. DH's 2nd cousin. If we win, I'll be happy for us; if her team wins, I'll be happy for her.

Hi! Wow, it's really true how much time it gets to be organized. But the time it saves in the long run makes up for all that, don't you think? I spent most of this time from Christmas to this past week getting lots of things organized around here. Looks so much better now too.

Today was church and then I stopped at store for a couple things. Couldn't find 8-10 cup coffee filters, just the 4-cup ones. Had to call DH to stop in a different store on his way home to get them. WM has been out of the bigger ones for weeks.

Yesterday I did a couple hours' cleaning around here. Today I cleaned from 11:00 till 5:00. Did a load of work clothes also. Really a lot of heavy deep cleaning in the kitchen this time. Also moved furniture around in the living room too. Swapped two of the end tables, easier for DH to maneuver stuff off the lower one with his shoulders. I'm a bit stiff and sore now.

Tonight was small group and we had a very sweet DVD lesson and very sweet sharing time. Much as I hate doing this, all the work, and all the social interaction, I guess it's worth it.

We are going to another dr. appointment tomorrow. GP this time. Wish us luck.

I re-read my last post about shampoo, soaps and shaving. It makes me sound like I'm using Dove soap to shave my FACE! But I'm NOT!

I got the Seahawks fever, I'm afraid. Will make myself and 2 young dgrsons hats in Seahawks colors now.

Just a quick ci: from my phone!
Just wanted to say hello to everyone.
Dh's uncle's funeral was very nice -- very simple except for Masonic rites at the cemetery. Weather was fine -- cool but not too windy. Well-attended also, especially for a 98 year old who has lived away from here for 5 years or more -- and whose only child has lived away for 30 years or more! Afterwards we ate with family at church.

Tomorrow I promise to take steps to get myself under control!!!
