Good lead-in, Harriet. :D

I'm focusing on W. W. Points, moving more, to lose weight before my 6-month dr. appt. again.
Also, am focusing on writing better short stories, stepping out of the box by submitting to new places.
And our home, dfamily, and relationships with dfriends, too.

Nancy, We have fog, too.

:D ... back at you, Rhy! ;) ;)

Good luck to Mr. Dee in his travels and appt.'s upcoming, too.

Waving to Twins', Cowinkie, Okay, Sadie, Dee, Elizabeth, Helia, Lucylee, Lynlee, and CathyS. :D

Got up early, did s2s, am ready to begin laundry and go walking. Dr. wants me to move more.

Have a great day! :D

Welcome (back) to Rhy! :D

I don't think I ever posted at all in PWYC yesterday. Good gracious, yesterday was a total waste for me. I don't know what was wrong, but I just lay around -- called myself reading, but really, I was napping -- and did absolutely NOTHING until about 4:00 pm! (Well-- I did wash 2 loads of clothes.) After having what I thought was a really productive day Monday; then NOTHING yesterday. Why can't I ever seem to put two of those days together???

At 4:00 pm, I s2s, went with dh to visit dmil, and met ds there. Then we took dgs and he spent the night with us. He's still sleeping. DS will come get him later this evening. LOL -- and I'm going to give dh to ds/ddil for the evening, so he can watch a ballgame on their internet. DS gets much better internet video than we do; I don't know if it's his computer or his connection, but for whatever reason, ours constantly buffers and is just beyond frustrating to watch. DS will attach his laptop to the tv and it will be just like watching on tv.

MAYBE I can get something done while dh is gone. The vacuum cleaner has been parked (and ignored) in the bathroom ever since Monday.

I also realized I was eating waaaay too much, exercising not at all, along with feeling generally "ugh." Finally it hit me -- this is Aunt Flo's week. Even if I am artificially inducing my cycle at this point, by continuing to take bc pills, if the cycle continues, I guess the craziness continues. My :?: question is this, though: IF I quit taking the bc pills, will I be in this sort of craziness all month long??? :? That would not be good at all!!!

Harriet -- thanks for the reminder about D-Mannose. I will tell dmom ASAP!
Happy birthday to dd34!

Thinking of Mr. Dee... (and all the sick little ones at your dson's house!) Also thinking of ds with his own recovery!

No snow here, but brrrr... COLD!!!

Woo hoo to dgdaughter, OKay! I bet those who overheard in the restaurant were pleasantly amused!

(((helia's dd)))

Glad to see SuzLew back! (((HUGS)))

Also thinking of Sadie as she returns to work!
Tomorrow is another day.

Hi Kally!

Thanks, LucyLee. I'm back from the airport (via IKEA). Had a good trip to the airport & dropped dh to wend his way home. So glad we have good friends up there who can 'keep' him. Knowing them, they'll love it! And I know dh will be well fed, etc. :D So he'll stay with them however long he needs to. Sure he'll get in to see other DS-R probably tomorrow.

We ordered some Kringle from their favorite WI bakery to be delivered to DS-R today. Told him he had to share though.

I came back the long way and completely avoided I-4. Nice drive and it's nice out, just cool.

Haven't cuop just happened to see LucyLee's.

Hi Dee & everyone else! I've been promising myself I will start posting again, so here goes......I'll be back later with an update, or non-update as it were. My life is static & uneventful, probably a good thing. I've been lurking so have been praying, cheering, rejoicing, encouraging, etc. from afar all in the Village. I know, doesn't do you much good, (except for the praying), if you don't know about it. Be back later, I promise.

Thanks Kally! :) Uneventful sounds wonderful!

I have finished the a.m. routine, had lunch with dfriend, done some organizational emails, and I think I have completed my notes for teaching tomorrow morning. I need to run through them -- and get my hand outs cleaned up.

Dd15 seems to be fever-free and feeling better. Yay! We think it is manageable for her to make up everything; English is just a short 30 minute test; no final in history as she had a history project and she already presented that; math will need to be rescheduled - and she needs some time to finish an art project. She needs to do some at school but can take it home to work on it too. Now, we also need to reschedule her oboe lesson. . .

Next:
- email dd15's oboe teacher
- update laundry
- take pork chops out of the freezer - I forgot to do that this morning
- go to gym

YEAH Kally!!!! Glad to see you come out and play with us. :)

Harriet - I too want to THANK YOU for the D-Mannose information. It started me reading and ended with me ordered some for DMom. Hopefully it will help with her frequent UTI's.

TOTALLY SKIPPABLE -
We had some exciting moments this morning when I was showing DD and DGS18 the process for hauling off the tree limbs. I opened the front pasture gates and the two horses decided to bolt out the gate! Arrrgghhh! We ran and the horses hesitated enough so we were able to get the the horses turned back from the road into our yard which leads to the front pasture gate. VBSIgh_of_relief. I found myself thinking WHAT is wrong with these horses?! They never act like this! We put the horses and donkey into a side pasture and DD closed the gate into that pasture so we could leave the main gate open. Problem solved.......or so we thought. After hooking up the trailer to the pickup, I drove out our driveway leaving the main pasture gate open. I drove across the road and opened DNephews pasture gate and pulled through. I was about 100 yards from the gate when I saw a flash of movement in rear mirror.....THE HORSES WERE OUT AGAIN! They had opened the gate and managed to follow us. Thankfully they didn't go down the road. The pasture the horses come into is a couple hundred acres so it was too large of an area for us to attempt to round them up. I called DBro and confessed my blunder. After he finished laughing, he told me he would take care of it. Shhhheeezzz! DBro came almost immediately because there was a couple hundred lbs of medicated calf feed in that pasture which the horse immediately found. That feed would kill the horses. ANYway.....horses are now safely back where they belong and this time we made sure the gate is securely closed. END OF STORY.

Lunch = Brats, green salad, spaghetti, Asian vegetable mixture.

It was a good but exhausting day yesterday. I'll write about it later. In the meantime I have a whine, though.

One thing about a luxury cruise is that twice a day you must put away absolutely everything. You can't leave things laid out anywhere. If anything is out, it will be put away. Sometimes even things that are 'put away' are also moved around, including items in drawers and cupboards. i.e. I'll stack the daily schedule and note pad on the desk with the pen on top and it will appear next to my computer along with other papers or maps that were put elsewhere.

So, rushing off to the pre-dinner show, I was madly tidying. Putting away my curling iron, hanging up my clothes from the day time. Putting the shoes in the closet.

Came back and found:

1. The neatly rolled balcony blankets I had placed as bolsters at each end of the couch are now folded on one end of the couch.

2. All the papers that were on the desk are on the table.

3. The tea timer is balanced precariously on the dvd player, instead of tucked against the back of the shelf where it won't fall off.

4. My runners were put on the shoe shelf. Moving them is bad because dh and I have identical, size 8, runners (his are men's 8, mine are ladies 8) so we tell them apart by putting them in distinct places. There was room on the shoe rack because dh and I had dress shoes on for dinner. So I had to move my runners and put my dress shoes back where they belong when I got in from dinner.

5. Most importantly, the laundry bag went missing from the closet. It was tucked in the back corner under the shoe rack, beside the chest of drawers. My runners (which were moved) were under it. The bag was gone. We were planning to put it out after adding our dinner outfits but it went missing. Slight panic because there was no inventory or instructions in the bag.

Turns out it was tucked under my hanging dresses and behind dh's trousers in the closet so we got it back this morning but it is a classic example of things that are put away being moved.

I'm tired of not being able to find things that I've put down and I'm tired of having to tidy when I leave for dinner and in the morning when I leave for the day. If I'm rushing out the door, it is hard to have to add 10 minutes to tidying. Especially when things are not messy anyway, they are simply where I want them to be and that isn't good enough.

Whine over.

Off to cuop.

K in C can younget a tote bag to use for stashing items in to that could be hung up in the closet?

I am trying out the free wifi* at the golden arches before the dollar store hoping to get a couple of things they were out of last time we were there. Last night dgd had a dance thing but was to shy to do any thing except sit in dds lap. I forgot to get a pic. Of her in the dance costume next time I will need to remember.

*Tried to post this from another location but this site wouldn't let me.

I found the shower curtian I needed and it is up now. Found rooster place mats at the dollar store with some garden seeds. A tin for cookies with hearts on it for treats they had St. Patrick's day stuff out too if any one needs those of items.

Most of the hens followed me to their afternoon "pasture" at the empty house next door there are always apx. 6 /7 that stay back.

I forgot a hello to Kally and Suzylew! Hello! :D :D

DH went to Costco. He bought me Gloria Vanderbilt 16-W SHORT jeans, I'm long-legged, so when I sat down in them, 7-8" of my ankle/leg braces a. k. a. AFO's, showed. He's exchanging them now. I'd have gone, too, but did 1 hour of exercise/movement added to that, helping him get things in from the trunk into the house and put away. Was sore from all my activity, have some hot roll-on on me, with an odor of old people who hurt!  :!:  So decided to stay home, rest, do the rest of the lol.

Mail came. Ddil/Dson & Dfamily of 7 grands gave ma a $25 B 'n' N gift card. Another day, I'll go to their store to browse stationery and pick out a special journal for my weight loss inspiration & motivation.

I'm going to cut this short. Am so tired, feel all stretched out in my muscles, and need to rest. I ate 2 fortune cookies. One says "Tomorrow will be your best day of the week. Act accordingly." The other states "Now is a lucky time for you. Take a chance." Hmmmmm...... I guess I'll buy that bikini in a size 3 after all and think positive! :P Just kidding. It's more like, why don't I write a submit a poem for lovely adult greeting cards instead?

Happy Afternoon, Everyone! My Delaware BFF has a foot of snow!

Well, dh is finally in the air in Detroit. They had to wait quite a while to be de-iced. Hopefully that's the extent of any problems. Been texting DS-A to let him know about the delay. But they're only due in about 1 hour later than scheduled so I guess with this frigid weather and snow -that's good. It could be so much worse had I booked him via the East coast. Must have been a "God whisper".

Just finished doing up the dishes from the last couple of days. Yikes! At least they're done so we can dirty them again for dinner.

Had to turn the heat on, it was getting pretty chilly.

We had veggie lasagna for dinner last night and are having leftovers tonight from that and double corn casserole the night before. Will make a good warm comforting meal. Think tomorrow it will be chili. Been kinda waiting on it because of dh's issues right now. He wouldn't have cared and probably would have had ice cream for dinner but.......

Going to feel strange not having him beside me tonight. Not knowing if/when he'll be coming back down is a little disconcerting.

Got my 'ten items' done in gd15's room. So once dd does hers, we'll be done for the night. Amazing what 10 things at a time can do. Of course it's really 20 with each of us doing it. Can't really do 10 items in our room, but I can do 10 minutes at a time.
