Earlier this evening I was checking my email and there was one from dd2. I opened it and there was a link. I hit it and immediately, I got all these warnings about high risk, etc. So I called her and she had not sent it. She had been hacked. Let me tell you, she was then HACKED OFF. Dh ended up getting the same one on his phone and his pc. Talked to her later and there had been the same email sent to her on the 19th to her business email. Turns out dd1 got that email.
Just had a phone call, back to J&C.

Yes, Cowinkie, it was apparently a wild day out there. It took people hours to get home because everyone left downtown at the same time and roads were slick and snarled. Schools, etc are all closed down for tomorrow, dd in Knoxville meanwhile still has classes tomorrow
So glad I could have a cozy day at home today. Soup was excellent!
I managed to get TV on but had no sound for evening news. I still don't know what the issue was because I finally turned it off and on again and had sound. I seldom watch TV when I'm alone and the technology is beyond me.

I have tried to work steadily through the day. I made it to the post office, but decided that was far enough in the cold.
Tomorrow we are supposed to be over 20 degrees warmer with dry roads. Thus, I am planning a route to run as many errands as I can fit in the morning.
I know I've mentioned here my troubles with blood draws, it's usually a challenge for techs to find my veins. You'll understand how pleased I was on the 17th when the tech only had to stick me once, and was even able to use the arm instead of the hand. You'll also understand how disappointed I am that the lab somehow missed doing 1 of the 3 tests. I have to fast again and go get stuck again.
Today I was checking my dvr programming and noticed the calico cat playing with something on the floor beside me. At first I thought she'd found one of her many little toys. Then I realized that she was trying to catch a little light caused by the sun reflecting off the face of my watch. We haven't played that game for years, so I spent about 20 minutes moving the light for her to chase. DH has a red pointer light that he uses to entertain her sometimes, but the watch reflection is the old school method.

Bookie..... I have the same problem with blood draws. My veins are very small, deep and roll. I can't begin to tell the problems I've had and how much it hurts.
At my dr's office I found a peach of a tech. She is so good with me I can even watch her when she does it. Her secret is a butterfly needle. The gauge is much smaller and is used with children. Unfortunately she is my age and retiring.
During this past spring I had to use a different office for my blood work. The gal there used this itty bitty needle to draw more than 12 vials of blood over several visits. Not once did she hurt me nor leave a bruise. I watched every time. However I have had horror stories of nurses and even doctors who could not draw blood from my veins so I know how you feel.

Btdt with the painful I.V. draws in the hosp. They had a student working on me it took like three trys I nearly fainted it was good I was already lying down in. I threw a fit and refuzed the next blood draw until I made sure they "had" to have it and were not students. I was dehydrated from illness that sucked! So I make sure I am well hydrated.
