More snow for all of you. Except for us. We were up in the 80"s yesterday and today also. Still, the air feels cooler than we're used to.

Don't have much of a timeline today. Just puttering around. Paid bills, answered a couple phone calls.

I have a meeting at church tonight 6:30, and I am ready for that.

Nice to have Ivy back with us! Hope your computer woes are behind you now. I spent some time cleaning out my email. It was very clogged. Speaking of clogged, I fixed the shredder, something was caught in there. I use a dental pick, works great.

Back from tutoring and groc. store. I splurged and had a long lunch while watching an episode of Middlemarch. I'm on a George Eliot kick right now. I've already read Middlemarch but would like to read Daniel Deronda. Anyhow, that's about it, folks! I'm loving a more relaxed day!

We are forecast to get 4 - 8 inches snow tonight and tomorrow morning. I wouldn't be surprised if school were cancelled tomorrow. Perhaps it is the same weather Lilac and OK are experiencing moving east. . . .

Band director has now worked out times and days for marching uniform returns next week, so I can plan for that.

Dd18 and GG will be home in about an hour. I'm going to finish the a.m. routine and start laundry. Then, I'll look at my li&t to see what I need to catch up on.

I am so jealous of those Florida temperatures, Harmony... It is 45 degrees here and cloudy, but dh says he'd like to go out and walk in a bit, so I guess we will.

My timeline so far looks like this:
__________l_____l_____l__________
talked to dmom/talked to dmil/talked to customer service @ R eal S imple magazine/breakfast & internet

Thanks for the reminder about the sticky notes, Harriet. That is the best solution for me, I think. Plus, I believe I still have some of the colored book-marker type sticky labels. That would be great -- I could do the yellow/red color coding.

 My tooth is still bothering me. I've been using Denquel toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Found a sample size dentist had given me. Last night when I flossed, I had some sharp sensitivity around it and some bleeding... which is not all that unusual, of course, and I guess I was sorta irritating it, trying to figure out which tooth it was... and it seems quite obvious that it is a tooth that already has a crown on it. This just scares me to death. I do NOT want to have a crown removed and replaced or * shudders/panic * worse yet, a root canal... I don't want to sit and anticipate the work/pain itself... I don't want to have to pay the $$$$$... I just want it to GO AWAY!!!

Today's 5x5 --
[ ] exercise
[ ] walk?
[ ] dust
[ ] closet
[ ] s2s

Rewards/consequences... I believe I will try to hang a carrot in front of my nose, as it were...
I am going to tell myself NO INTERNET until my 3 15s are done. (Exercise/daily-weekly/focus).
After they are done, I can reward myself w/internet time or reading.

Waving to ALL!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

lucylee, 3+ years ago, I had a root canal on a crown. He just drilled thru the top and went down. Then he filled the top. I have had no problems with it, until November, it came out. I went in and he glued the crown in again. He said that if it happens again, they will probably put in a permanent bridge. Normally he said he would do an implant, but the teeth on each side of it have big fillings in them. An implant would weaken those teeth but the permanent bridge would strengthen them. I try to eat on the other side to keep from stressing that tooth.

I went out and shoveled snow the driveway. It keeps blowing snow into our entryway. It is 12 X 20 and covered. It has a ceramic tile floor. Anyway the snow keeps piling up there. It's still snowing, so I will go out and shovel again before long. Then right before dh is due home, I will shovel again. I sure hope it quits by then. It is suppose to be below 0 tonight with a high of 9 tomorrow, plus blowing winds.

I envisioned my timeline and it worked!

Was up at 5, on deck by 5:30, rounded the Sydney Opera House at 5:55 and spotted ds running up. We waved and waved and dh and he even shouted across the water.

One of the passengers loaned me his cell phone to call him. And now that we are in dock, we've been talking across the pier. As soon as the ship gets cleared, we'll meet up with him.

Kathryn, reading about your ds running up where you could see each other brought me to tears. I have been in that position and know how badly you want to hug your baby. When we went to San Antonio for dd2s Air Force graduation ceremony, we were able to watch all of them march on Thursday. Afterwards, when they were released our baby ran to us and we were a very happy threesome. That evening dd2s now exdh, my dm and my dsisil flew in to be there for the ceremony, the next day. Then she was able to spend the whole day with us on Saturday. I can't remember if the others flew out on Saturday night or Sunday morning, but I do know that dh and I stayed on Sunday, as long as we were allowed to, before we headed home. Anyway I remember how happy we were and know that you, your dh and ds are experiencing the same wonderful reunion.

Long dr appt with dmom + bloodwork and check in pending with her primary care doc because her bp is too high. I keep saying I don't know how long I can keep up with all of this because I'm feeling whipped.

-walk the ddogs
-check in w dh re going out to eat tonight
-start a lol
-clear kitchen counters and kitchen table
-get rid of 10 pieces of paper, scan, file, recycle, trash, etc.

IT WORKED!!! I have earned reward time!!! :D

[x] exercise (15 minutes floor exercise/walk away the pounds)
[ ] walk
-- did not do b/c it started raining. We missed our window of opportunity. I may do a full 15 minutes walk away the pounds anyway
[?] dust -- did not actually do, except for some dusting in the closet
[x] closet
-- HOORAY!!! :D :D :D I straightened up my entire linen/bathroom closet. I didn't really discard a lot of stuff, and I know there was plenty in there that should have been tossed... :( BUT -- I did get a Wmart bag about 3/4 full for discard... I spent about an hour & 15 minutes in there. Set up a system for keeping up with socks I wear/don't wear, so I will discard them later... filled a produce box about 3/4 full of stuff for thrift store donation... sorted out the t-shirts that are only kept b/c they have sentimental value... and boxed up all the nightgowns I don't wear anymore but must keep b/c of sentimental value (from honeymoon, lingerie shower, etc.) Can y'all believe I still have all that? I can't believe how tiny I was then. Goodness. I should hang one of them on the kitchen door to remind me when I want to snack. Shaking my head...)
[x] s2s

I still have a stack of shorts that I'm going to try on after I shower and see if there is any hope of being able to wear them again. Like I said, I know I was not as heartless w/the discarding as I should have been, but at least I know what I've got now, LOL.

(((Twins)))

So excited for Kathryn, Ken, & ds!!!

Thanks, Lilac, for the reassurance re: the tooth. Ooohhh... I just dread it. I'm going to have to be in more pain than I am now before I Call the Man... BUT... the pain now (which just comes and goes) IS beginning to be sorta distracting to me. So the dentist visit may not be far away.

Sounds like fun time w/dgs, Nancy!

Editing to say I finished sorting the shorts, too. Two pairs in the thrift store box.
