x this week's moms group teacher passed on her notes and questions for me to look over (I'm not sure why. . .) I've done that and sent some comments
x other moms group emails
x loaded dw and it is running
x prepped fruit
x took fruit trays + crates of clementines to the school to feed judges and girls for the synchro swim meet tonight. Again, dd15 told us not to come to this one. I think there is another one next Tuesday night.
x amazon order
x found a study I want to go through next for my devo time. I purchased as a pdf and need to print it out; it is 101 pages so I'm going to confirm w/ dh that he's OK with my using our printer for that.
x checked on hens; pushed down their food so they can get to it more easily
Surely, I've done something else since my last post? Did have a bit of devo time. . .
Next: tempted to take a nap. I am sleepy. I'm afraid I'll start eating non-stop as I'm also hungry. . . .
Dh wants to go to the gym with me tonight, so we'll do that after supper. He did not get in his run today. Dd18 says she'll pick up dd15 if she calls while we're at the gym.
I think I'll try a short nap, like 20 minutes.

Likewise, love the picture of Kathryn and Ken waving and talking with their ds on the shore. I hope they are enjoying seeing each other at this very moment! Must be so nice.

Re: Timeline Tuesday
Twins', Thank you for welcoming me back yesterday.
It's nice to be back, too.
Thanks to you, too, Harriet, for helping with the password and for posting for me, too.
I woke at 4:50 a.m. with leg pain, a muscle thing, so got up at 5 a.m. There was a power outage at 6:10 a.m. - 7 a.m., but we've had power since.
Tonight, out at the little airport, 12 miles from here or 18 miles, it'll be 10*!
We're having colder air come down from the Frazier River Canyon or Valley.
I'm doing a laundry catch-up today, am resting, and puttering around. Am too tired to do much of anything else, but did get s2s.

Re: Timeline Tuesday
I ended up waiting until just ahead of when dh would be home to shovel. He came home about 30 minutes early but I had expected that. He said the roads are icy. Which is weird because this is the driest snow I have ever seen. I just used a large broom to sweep it out of the large entryway. The wind is suppose to blow out of the north, so I am sure we will have a lot in the entryway. I think I will go out and get the smaller broom that I didn't use and bring it in the house. That way if we have to sweep our way out, we can use it.
I have chili simmering on the stove. I will need to bake some cornbread to go with it.

Re: Timeline Tuesday
Recently, DH cooked crock pot chili, and a few days later, he cooked a pot roast in the oven. He ended up with gout.
He only had 2 pills left, from years and years ago, he used them. I prompted him to call the doctor's nurse for a new prescription, but he declined.
Then, all-of-a-sudden, he was better.
Our Wed. 2/5/14 high, will be 32* and low will be 10*. DH said the cold front is from the Frazier River Valley, from Canada. So our coldest day's tomorrow. DH went to town today because the Super Bowl Parade and Ceremony are tomorrow. He didn't want to be out in the coldest day this week, tomorrow. Good idea!
I looked up an old rubber stamping magazine, I used to subscribe to, but it's only an e-book for the Nook now. However, they publish ideas in books. I'll hang onto my old 11 issues for awhile longer, to keep ideas fresh in my mind.
I've been awake since 4:50 a.m., with only a rest, no nap, so don't know what I'm saying!
Lucylee, I'm glad you earned reward time! I ought to work out a system like that, too! Thanks for the idea! It sounds like a fantastic motivator!
Sorry about the tooth.
(((Twins')))), Sorry about your day.
Kathryn's going to be beside herself with joy with Ken, too, when they see their son!
Lilac, You're burning so many calories from shoveling snow!
Everyone, Have a good night, a wonderful Wednesday, and for those of us in the cold, we'll just gather in virtual arms around a campfire and dance to keep warm.

Re: Timeline Tuesday
Finding myself a little dismayed that we have not heard from BookSaver in several days and I'm wondering what her weather is like. There were times recently she was having to decide not to even drive at all it was so bad, and many local closings.
HRH happened to check our bank happenings today and noticed that dd and I were charged twice for the same meal the same time at Wendy's. ($11) Have never caught anything like that before.
I didn't even mean to use the card and now am rethinking use of cards at restaurants at all. They are willing to refund, of course, but I have to come back to that location, which is not a direction I usually travel (near the pet store, a trip which won't come up again for a good while), and bring either the receipt or bank print-out. Well, as far as I can tell I wasn't given a receipt and the bank print-out is personal so they can look but not keep that. On top of that, this was the meal that was a big disappointment to dd, anyway. Sigh. $11 is just enough money to bug me and make me want my refund, yet I don't have time for this stuff.
helia, I didn't know you lived in NZ for a time.
Sadie, good to hear about being able to change the sling around some.

Harriet h. Always checks the reciept before we leave a cafe'. You post makes me grateful that we do. Might be time to consider cash for that. Heard a discusuon about pin # on cards ... makes me wonder about that.

Re: Timeline Tuesday
Hey guys. Sorry I've been MIA. I read the board on my phone but it is so hard to post from there. So I think about posting and vow that I will fire up the laptop. But then I don't.
Sunday I was thrust in the middle of something. I'm still not sure how it will work out. It was at a meeting of the Board of Deacons to elect a Moderator for the coming year. One of the other members asked if she could nominate me. I said yes. What I didn't know was that one of the other ladies had thought she would be elected and had done a lot of preparation for the meeting. Unfortunately, she only got one vote out of 8 person present. So I am not only the new Moderator, but I must mend fences and smooth feathers. So I have been doing a lot of paper work for this new position.
Monday I went to the thyroid Dr. I am now on a really strict diet to prepare for a nuclear scan. No chocolate, dairy products, salt, and another long list of no-nos for the next two weeks. I'll be glad when this is over.
The only mishap on this trip (about 75 miles one way) was that I had fed the dog too close to our trip and she was car sick. Lucky, I had put a blanket in the back seat so it protected the back seat.
My brother pulled his trailer into our yard Monday afternoon for a couple days. He is using our MH so he doesn't have to unload a bunch of stuff. (He has a toy hauler for his Rhino that has to be removed before he can use the trailer.)
Today we took the dog to the vet for a get acquainted visit and then I had a Worship Committee meeting in the afternoon.
DBro is leaving in the morning and DH has a cardio appointment as follow-up to his stent.
Sometime this week I have to get in a massage as my back is protesting. I also need to get the dog to the groomer. So we will be making another trip up to Prescott.
PS: Tonight it took 3 tries as the IP address kept being blocked. I have to copy my post, log off, turn off my WIFI, turn WIFI back on, log back on, paste the post into the screen, and try again to post. FRUSTRATING!!!

Re: Timeline Tuesday
Good morning everyone! It is already Wednesday where I am, but since I haven't gone to bed yet, I can't really call it tomorrow, can I? Today started with a 530 am call from school about a two hour delay due to snow. Didn't affect me because DD11 is at XDH's house. Then I didn't get up until 2 pm. I really should have timelined my day. I mostly read during the afternoon, until it was time to pick up DD for Girls' Night Out. We had Chinese and watched The Last Airbender. I also got her to spend 10 minutes picking up her room. Not completely done, but vast amounts of progress were made. After she left, I had to update Quicken and pay bills (and of course transfer money from savings). I went through all my emails (100+), took care of the cats, and put the trash out. That is all the useful stuff I have done today.
Since I missed the timeline for today, I am going to do a Wednesday timeline:
10:00 to 10:30 Butt out of bed, shower, breakfast
10:30 to 12:00 job search activities
12:00 to 1:00 lunch and read stuff (including the Bible study reading)
1:00 to 3:00 errands (get picture frame + groceries)
3:00 to 5:15 more job search + claim unemployment for last week
5:30 to 7:00 dinner at church + Bible study
7:15 to sensible bedtime: commission crochet with the Doctor
During breaks, I will try to get some cleanup done. I have a stash and dash bag in the kitchen, LOLs needing folded and put away in the MBR, plus other stuff.
