HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MT! Hope you have one wonderful day!

Yes, weather up north has been worrisome, Harriet. DS-A & his little family are supposed to leave from Niagara Falls to Sanford, FL early this evening. But first they have to get to NF which is nearly 2 hours away from them. (Our airport is only 20 minutes.) But they got a great 'deal' on tickets on A llegiant airlines. Cost them $700, round trip for the 5 of them. Of course that means we have to be there to pick them up at 10pm or a little later. DD and I are spending the night at Disney & going to Magic Kingdom with them tomorrow. Praying for decent weather for them to be able to leave. We did a little grocery shopping for them yesterday for a few snacks and breakfast items. Trying to decide what to do with all that while we pick them up so they have the entire car for their baggage, stroller, etc. At least I assume they're bringing the stroller.

Yesterday turned out to be a wonderful day. Had church, followed by a Valentine party/potluck at church. Our friends (our pastor/wife from many years ago) from IN joined us at church & then the party. We were able to chat a lot there. After the party we went across the road to Mc Donald's. We sat there and chatted over a beverage for another 2 1/2 hours in a secluded spot. It was perfect. They were caught up in that storm/power outage just before they left IN in January. They spent the first night in their house under 10 layers & then went to his Mom's. Temp in the house then was 33 and down to 30 by the time they came back the next day. Only to find most of their downstairs flooded. Got the restoration team in and at least dried out before they left, but when they go back tomorrow have the rest of the repairs/restoration to look forward to.

Have to go over to dsisil's and give her her birthday card -her birthday was yesterday. She wanted me to go to lunch tomorrow with her and her 2 sisters. Told her I wouldn't be able to. So since her 1 sister also has Wed off, she asked about that. Ok with me if it's ok with them.

Dh sees the specialist at 3 today. Hoping roads are clear up there for that too. He said last night he wants to ask his GP to order his endoscopy before he comes back. (he's due this year). Wants to have it more for peace of mind. So hope insurance will allow them to do it now. Seems like they will since he's obviously having problems. Will post later when I (perhaps) know what the plan of action will be.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts btw.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. DH has forgotten, I think, as he didn't say anything when we got up.

Yesterday was the day from *)&%)!! I got thru church (and talking to the lady that is mad at me) but collapsed when I got home. Combo of UTI and migraine. Slept most of the afternoon and then had to take a PM to get to sleep at night.

Reaction of rest of the Deacon Board is making up for the one. Many congrats for me and they expressed that they knew the job would be done correctly now. Hope so!!

Need to call Dr. about the UTI and then facility that was to do the thyroid scan. Need to put off the scan because of meds for UTI.

Thanks again for all the wishes.

Hi, Norma!

Feel better, Emptynester.

HRH is struggling to communicate with his former asst manager, who worked for him several years - very nice guy - who is on a much-anticipated trip to Olympics. So far, his story is mostly attendance/venue difficulties, poor internet, feeling cheated on hotel. We were kinda excited to know someone who could actually experience it. :( Hope things straighten out.

Laundry week Focus cleaning this week.

I made the run to the bank (it's very close) but put off the post office. I may have to go back to the bank, I believe DH is coming home with a check to deposit.

I did get my laundry hung out. Spent some time with dsisilaw who is wanting to build a house. She and I looked at a plan and chatted. Niece who moved away might be moving back and she will have to move out of her house she's been renting.

Yesterday I moved around the furniture in the family room, found a little low table I'd been using as an end table in living room that makes a perfect little coffee table in front of the love seat. When people are here, some of them don't have a place for their cups, now they do. I cleaned out a small 2-shelf bookcase and brought it in to put in place of the end table. It's in bad shape, but DH says he will paint it for me if I get a quart. It's handy for me to use as it's right opposite my desk. I might try to match the color my desk is.

Sorry you're not feeling well, MT.
OKay, hope everything works out well for DD & DGD after she moves.

Awake but not s2s.

Dh is off to work.

Hanging clothes didn't dry in 17 hours so some are in dryer now. We can't leave them hung up all day since it blocks both the tub and the washing machine.

Weather service today says we only need 2 layers and no windproof jacket. It is brighter today, I can see the island in the harbour. Sometimes I can't even see the waters edge so this is an improvement.

Dinner last night was amazing. We were exactly across the harbour in a hillside home with what would have been unbelievable views if it had been clear. You drive up a steep, steep driveway for 1 minute and then walk up another 48 stairs to the house and since the living area is upstairs, up another 12 stairs inside. I'm glad my knees are better. I still huff and puff but each step doesn't feel like a knife going into my knee.

We had a great appetizer and then amazing lamb for our main course and creme brule with fruit for desert. And great conversation. These are industry contacts who we have never met in person but have known via email for years.

I started the day with a ist of things to do and have accomplished all but one of them.

DONE! Insurance (health) needed court papers showing the judges signature faxed to them in order to change LO name. The doctor office & pharmacy can't change his name until the insurance does. Strange ...everyone else wants LO new birth certificate. This is the only place I found that request the court papers.

DONE! Insurance (vehicle) cancelled on Honda and added for Lincoln.
DONE! Ditto on vehicle change - pikepass cancelled and new one ordered.
DONE! Plumber called for HWH leak at home. DH has been so swamped repairing MPB leaks that he hasn't been able to get to the one at home.
DONE! Ordered DNephew gift for Birthday party (Saturday). Thank you Amazon Prime!
DONE! Water sample delivered for testing (BYOB drinking water sold at MPB)
DONE! Valentine cards prepared for mailing
DONE! Yesterdays church offering delivered to CPA
