Thanks for relaying the message, Harriet. I sure hope that Kathryn & Ken's accommodations in LA are better than at that last B&B. It sounded like a total ripoff.

Booksaver, Will you ever post Lego creations posts? How about LO's creations, OKay?

Harriet, Thanks so much for filling us in on Kathryn & Ken, too. I know how when we're off-line for any reason, how you go to bat for us and carry messages through to us all. I learned that first-hand and still appreciate it, when I didn't have my laptop.

Heard news on TV about Windows XP being ended, so DH will eventually get a new tower for his main office, for his computer. It'll be nice to have him updated. :P :!:

Oh, I'm all ears whenever I hear about creativity, or posts about creativity, too, Dee. Creative time is a demonstration or proof of well-being and healthy optimism. Sometimes right through the tough times! (Like children getting to build with Legos because of the library's help, BookSaver, even when roads were barely passable.) OKay, I love the idea that LO gets photos of past Lego triumphs.

I was tickled to be able to be creative today with the pressed flowers I collected from home and roadside through the autumn. Literally such a little thing, but it makes me happy, and I think that's part the creativity and part the follow-through of finding purpose for saved bits of nature or nostalgia. Some of these were from gift flowers from the time of my ddad's death. So this proves that no, I was not hoarding, I was creating!

It seemed as though my rule of placing creativity behind work was starting to wear thin for me, and I was starting to become discouraged that I'd ever really be "caught up enough". So with snow on the ground, school out and parts of the world "standing still", it was time to change the rule for a while.

As usual, there's a learning curve with a new technique! My face while trying to hold tiny petals still - :? :o :| .

Harmony, you are doing GREAT. Proactive about the vehicles, so smart about so much. And I think the tiling looks beautiful.

I guess we need to ditch our old computers, getting those out of here will free up some desk space.

Made deviled eggs. Dgd made a heart shaped pizza wants to take it all home to show her family. We made more muffins.

Started to cuop but wanted to say Happy Valentines Day while it was still the 14th!

It has been a long day today and dh and me and it didn't all go as planned. I thought his p.t. session was at 1 pm --- nope, we were supposed to be there at 11:30 am. Talk about those embarrassing moments! So we ended up doing our grocery shopping first, then home to unpack and put groceries away, back out at 3:45 pm for p.t. We decided to stop on the way home for supper at Cracker Barrel. Of course by that time it was the middle of rush hour, just when everyone was getting home from the big city across the bay! On the main road near our house traffic was stopped and there was fire rescue truck and about 6 police cars blocking one lane for an accident, on the other side of the road, but it was all still there 2 hours later on our way home at 7 pm.

Once we got home I fed the ddogs, finished up my weekly cleaning and wrote a few checks to put in the mail tomorrow. Now I'm going to relax for a few minutes.

I did see where Harmony's dh will have his surgery on Mon. Will keep you both in my prayers! Prayers and good thoughts for LO and OKay, Dee and Mr. Dee as well.

Good travel wishes for Helia's dfamily! and Kathryn and dh on their travel home!

Back to cuop!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Right now, I look ridiculous. I am sitting with ice on my nose, which is red, shiny, swollen and hot on the right side. The ice is for the burning and I can feel my face starting to swell now. And to what do I owe this pleasure? An infected PIMPLE!!! Not only do I look ridiculous, but I feel ridiculous too. And won't this look nice for DD's birthday party pictures tomorrow.

DD was with me today. We went to my previously scheduled knit/crochet group first. Then to a park until it was time to meet a friend for lunch. Lunch was next door to the Lego store. DD had so much fun at the park (which we had never been to before) that we went back afterward. Then back to my house for two episodes of Addams Family and a car cleanout. Then, XDH picked her up. I have had dinner, done cat care and me care, and really need to do some job search activity now. That is why I am online. Today was nice enough, I had some windows open, but it is now time to close them. Must also remember to wrap DD's birthday present.

Gotta go, time to refill the ice bag. Which smells like Windex for some reason.

ETA: It is nearly 2:00. I have not wrapped DD's present, will do that tomorrow. My nose is not burning as much, but it is still having problems. I haven't looked at it in a while. Kind of afraid to. I'm off to bed. I am not doing cat clinic tomorrow in favor of the birthday party.
