Many of us are winding down from vacations, time out, hospital visits, and other demands on our time. Make sense out of today and use it well. Make a memory.

I slept amazingly well last night. Know I had lots of dreams. Woke up for a 'break' about 3am and then not again until about 7am. Now I'm (sorta) rarin' to go. I'm s2s, meds taken & bed made and posting all before 8:30. Time to get my coffee and breakfast.

Dh still hadn't heard from the dr's office. (not that I truly expected it yet, but think he was disappointed.)

I am enjoying a slow start to the day. This is the only day of the week that don't need to follow schedule in order to be on time.

Good morning, villagers ~
I had a quiet day yesterday, just took care of the 3Ds and not much else. Storing energy for today.

This morning is a genealogy class sponsored by the library group. Luckily I'm interested in the topic anyway, because they want me to be there to collect money and also to try to sell some of our book bags and a family history book written by a local woman. I'm going to try to arrange the merchandise on a table so it looks inviting but not pushy.

After this thing today, I think I might have several days in a row with no commitments outside the family. Hmm. In theory, I could spend long blocks of time decluttering. That would make me happy.

Yikes, must jump in the shower now or my hair will never be dry in time to go outdoors.

Waving to Dee and Booksaver! I am up made coffee, turned on the hens light that is about all today. I have excellent bs today. I have my journal page open have entered the date temp but I am drawing a blank as to what to jot down. I finished reading a book I have had going since Sept. It has a chrochet pattern in the back the is intresting to me.

I did get a few rows of knitting in last night.

Today a some shopping errands and some time this weekend celebrate Val. Day a bit late to skip the crowds.
It is time to get hens feed and I need a bucket one blew I the storm and broke I want an orange one H ome D epot has em so headed that way h likes to go there it is close by the other stores we want to go to so it makes sense to go there while we are in the area.

Busy day here, dog PT, baby shower, then dinner out tonight with the baby parents (who live out of town) and the grandparents (our friends who we used to travel with, who invite us for Christmas every year.)

DD got home in early evening and we had a nice evening together. Dh grilled burgers and we had SHabbas dinner together. She is so much in a nicer mood these days.

Will s2s after ddog PT, need to work on a.m. routine. Tomorrow afternoon I have a mega work session at temple - partly to avoid needing to meet one night next week or next weekend through March 4, when I'll be out of town. I am dreading spending a nice spring afternoon at the temple. I guess it could be much worse, because I could be here at home frantically pulling things together to work long days Mon-Sat, if this were last year.

I have to say, I am really, really enjoying early spring this year.

The house is quiet. Ahhhhhhh

I resemble that statement, Okay. I'm just puttering away and accomplishing a lot. Crossing off things as I go. Much more productive this way. I pulled out what I thought was a plastic string from under the dressing table, but there was a whole salamander attached. Not sure if it was dead or if it was a plastic one. I wasn't about to examine to be sure. May be one gd15 planted some time ago to scare me. She did that upon occasion. Either way -it's gone, gone, gone!

Our room is relatively clean. However, that being said, I am not happy with it. I try to remember that this room, large as it is, is our bedroom, our living area, our office, our kitchen. So it seems practically every surface is (neatly) stacked with something. I'm trying valiantly to put more things away under cover. One thing I have to do is put almost everything away in our locked cabinets (in case gd15 happens to come home -she pilfers through everything!!). Our door will most likely be locked, but not necessarily so. So everything from paper clips to change to most anything you could think of, needs to be locked away.

Dsonil is going to the bank soon to deposit check he got from church organist for digging their trench & putting in pipe. They ended up giving him $100 more than they had originally said. Plus he had another $100 the church had insisted on giving him when he helped dh with a problem with the AC there last month. Then he's going to see about buying boots for work. He and dd will go shopping for other clothes tomorrow afternoon. I know she has to be sighing a huge sigh all weekend. She was at the point of trying to find yet another additional job. Maybe she can find a little time to relax now.

Suppose Helia & family are on their way back home by now. Glad they were able to escape that winter weather for at least a little bit.

Ok, back at it. Now I'm just trying to see how many things I can put 'under cover'. Should keep taking pictures until I get the look I want.

It is exciting to hear about KIC's search for an apartment. And I am amazed at the historical items she has.

Travel mercies as Helia heads back to the snow after a good vacation.

Thought for Mr. Dee and Mr. Harmony with health concerns. Also Sadie.

I know I've missed a whole lot of people in print - but know I'm thinking about you as I read the posts.

I've puttered away at my l**t and just put a LOL into the washer twin. Hope to get them dried before I have to leave. Got my hair washed and various piddly things, but looking better (to me) all the time. Have a bunch of computer work that I seem to be avoiding. Would like very much to get the office looking decent before DD comes home tomorrow. But, of course, several hours will be taken up at church today & tomorrow. But I'm feeling better about the way things look all the time. Also think I'll try to get the remainder of the Christmas stuff (shhhh) that's stacked in the hallway, put away in the garage before tomorrow. That's just a little tricky for me because of the steps going into the garage as soon as the storm door is opened. I seem to not have great balance there for some reason. But I so would like those things out (and dd has certainly not had time to do it (right) in the past few weeks. Perhaps now (after her TSA competition) things will calm down a little for her.

I type the test and then edit it so I don't get all cranky when I lose long posts. This one took longer to edit as I took two phone calls while typing. One about thyroid test on Tuesday and one from Pastor that he is sick. Good thing it is Women's Service on Sunday so he can stay in bed all weekend.

DH is up now so I can start the washer. So I'd better do that or I'll have to go to church in my jammies.

Good morning! We've had a rain shower this morning. Last evening we had thunderstorms rumble past. Temp is now 69* and the sun is trying to peek through the clouds!

OKay, that surely is a blessing for dfriends with the 7 yr. old boy!
Dee, I'm glad you got a good night's sleep. Makes such a difference in how the next day goes!
Twins', it's so nice you are having a nice spring with warmer temps and flowers blooming! Hope your winter weather is gone.

Harriet, I chuckled also the other day when I saw that Harmony had posted nearly the same thing at the same time about our childhood home!

I slept in 'till 8 this morning, but got a.m. routine done a little while ago. Last night ddil#1 called to say that ds was off work all weekend, but dgsons had a scout fundraiser to do and dgkids had bowling after lunch, so wanted us to come to their house to visit and supper. We'll take an angel food cake for dessert.

I was supposed to meet dcousin for lunch last Wed., but she called to postpone for a while. She told me that a few days before she had fallen in a shopping mall parking lot, tripped over a parking curb and broke her nose; she spent 6 hours in the ER on Sunday, and was sore, bruised and embarrassed. I will call her tomorrow to see how she's doing.

Yesterday afternoon when I let ddogs out I went outside just to look around the yard. Minnie stopped by the Ixora bush at the corner of the house to sniff something. Turns out it was a snake skin, fully intact from head to tail. I didn't want her nibbling on it so I picked it up and it was still damp and soft. I didn't stay out there to see where the snake was! It didn't have any rattles attached and dh said it looked like a black snake, so not poisonous. It measures 35 inches! I put it out in the laundry room to show dgkids next time they all come!

It's time for a bite of lunch then I'll change clothes and finish getting ready to head out to see dfam#1.
