SENSIBLE SATURDAY

Dh is washing up the dishes for me. Dinner was a success and there's leftovers for tomorrow.

CM came over and practiced the anthem with us so that's out of the way. We know there will be no-one in church tomorrow at the first service. The hockey game will still be on. I'll be surprised if there are 10 people there. I'll only be there because I'm singing.

CM went over the pictures of the apartment with us and then got really scared. Partly because we are moving and partly because she realized she has to pack up all her stuff and move into my house!

Dh is pushing hard to get things done and I'm not quite there yet. Nor do we have a lease. We have a long list of things we want done to the place, including moving one counter and pantry to where the fridge is and moving the fridge back to where the counter and pantry is. Another item on our list is to rehang the bathroom door so it opens outwards. There are medallions stuck on the doors and painted over that need to be removed (they are tacky) and finally an electrical outlet needs to be put in the wall where the bed is going. Not sure what dh's response will be if they can't do those things.

The medallions on the doors are an easy fix. The bathroom door will just have to be removed if it can't be rehung. The electrical in the bedroom is important, that's the logical place for the bed. So not sure what will happen if that can't happen. Finally the kitchen request is a biggy (along with a new, larger, sink) so we aren't sure what will happen with that. But it is the logical way to fix the flaws in the flow of the kitchen and the fridge was originally where we want to put it according to the plan we have.

Ivy asked I get the hens up when I tune on thier light at 5:45 apx. I keep forgetting to get a timer.

Got feed h. Has decided I got the wrong breed of chicks bc the are too small, well too bad I can't take them back now. I got a clip on lamp thought might come in handy.

I could not find the new Debbie Macomber book so will have to wait.

It snowed did not stick on the roads yet any way.

Sadie, it's nice to think your posting will be quicker and easier for you! (That's selfish isn't it! Like hearing from you. ) Thanks for asking about my family. Everything is the same for Joe, which is both bad news and good news at the same time. A long recovery expected, but he is stable.

I have visited my colorist also. Again the semi-permanent, "healthier" HerbaShine, no longer in stores. Sigh. I will probably buy some on-line and hope somebody comes out with something similar before long. I have such a better system with this one, which does not require having wet hair before you begin. Cuts out time and effort. It's "10 minutes" like others brag, but is safe starting with dry hair, so when it says 10 it really means 10. I'm sure it's a breeze for those with short hair to get it wet then toweled damp. Long hair, not so much.

OKay, I finally found the color-care version of the shampoo and conditioner you mentioned, Suave Moroccan, at Target and purchased them. Have only used once, but hair did feel soft. Didn't think it stripped any color.

Safely home. There's less snow than when we left, for sure. Driveway is icy - rain during the week has frozen. I'm tired and calling it a day.

Hi everyone! This is a really late check in. In fact, I could open up the Sunday thread, but it is still part of Saturday for me. The X dropped off DD12 this morning, but I went to bed and slept too late anyway (bad mom!). When I did get up, we played a computer game where you find hidden objects. We still have more to find. Then she wanted to play Virtual Villagers by herself, so I got in some rows on the animal org crochet. When I told her it was time for dinner, she suggested a really fun buffet + games + rides place, evidently expecting a big fat NO. She was so happy when she got a yes. Oh, and you can eat in a room with giant screens showing NickToons. On the way, we stopped off for more of the animal org yarn. While there, she realized her game was about to run out of battery. Not a problem, I do have a car charger. BUT, it is not long enough to reach to the back seat and she wanted to ride in front. I told her I had to check the laws before allowing that! The lady at the register pointed out the sheriff, who approved her plan, and she got to ride up front. Much fun was had by all - especially since she found a skee ball game that was malfunctioning. It was randomly increasing the point value on her shots resulting in MANY tickets! She and another lady alternated playing it until one of the workers turned it off. 'Making a memory' is certainly appropriate for us today, she called it "the best day EVER!"

She is asleep now. I have done cat care, me care, LOLs, and completely remade the bed a la FlyLady's Friday assignment. My health insurance situation may be fixed, need to do some research. Tomorrow (or rather, later today!) will be: church, drop DD off at X's, animal org meeting at which I am up for board re-election, and MUST GET CAT FOOD. Also must remember to call dBrother for his birthday.

Even though I ate way too much at the dinner & fun place, I want to eat at Kathryn's house. Her dinner sounds yummy.

Ivy: Neither I nor DD have ever done henna, but I did allow her and a friend to color their hair with washable markers. (I did call the other girl's mom first).

It's rather late, but I think I will crochet with Hogan. I really want to crochet with the Doctor, but the video is still not in at the library. Dad is making progress on designing a TARDIS to go in the town associated with his G scale railroad. It will open so you can see the center console and the wall roundels.
