Hi everyone!

I stayed up (unintentionally) until 3 a.m. putting some pictures into the photo album that is dated "Pre 1986" which has anything and everything before my dd was born. I had so many lovely black and white original pictures of my mom to add to the album. I only had copies of 2 pictures of her previous to this. Words cannot describe how happy these pictures make me. I also have a lot of pictures of my older brother now so that also makes me happy. My dad took a lot of pictures in the summer and at Christmas that year, so something makes me think he knew my brother wasn't well. For all these years I thought he had found out just before my brother died. I also have a very rare picture of my dad's girlfriend that I really liked before he married the woman that became the "evil" step mother.

I had a wonderful time doing this, even though it meant a few teary moments. Now they are where I need them to be.

I am watching a nature show on netflicks an older one. High wild & free.
With crocheting in my lap.
Did one round.

K in C every so often we get a bee in our bonnet about moving to the mtns. Back in to the farm building a cabin & hen house lots of room for em to roam. Then back here for the winter. H. Said he could drive to work.

It came up again we would have to figure out funds but would be so awesome to leave it for the kids when we are gone praying about it time will tell.

I guess it is in the 'I have a dream' catagory.

Remade the guest bed. Ironing is done. Load of laundry is done and hung to dry (in the guest room, that's why I had to make the bed.) Lingering load in the dryer has been fluffed, folded and put away. My hair is straightened and I have a necklace and earrings on (therefore consider myself dressed now.)

Next up: Monday weekly chores (and any Sunday chores I've skipped.)

Nancy:
In my purging process, I came across a note-book where I written out my "I have a dream" vision for us years down the road. Forgot I had done that. Interestingly, almost everything there is what we have done or intend to do. So while I wasn't consciously aware of writing these things down, they were in the back of my mind and everything I had done (except becoming a preacher - that came out of left field!) was working towards those dreams.

Waving from tiny tuesday. I'll try for some mini jobs done later today.

Praying anew for Harmony and MrHarmony, all the Dees.
Harmony - friend whose mother is in rehab with plastered upper arm (bad break x 3 - one ajoining shoulder replacement) says her mother is left alone much of the time. What is with that? I had hoped you would have had a little less to do while your dh was there but it sounds very disappointing. Silly the people who think you also have time to run after them.

I got up at 3. couldn't sleep. I'd switched off light at 11. so had best part of 4 hours. I'll go back to bed soon. got up for a snack as had eaten main meal mid afternoon, with my often lunch at evening. I'd leant back on couch the wrong way yesterday and undid some of the osteopath's good work on my neck. Reminds me that when I was sleeping on the couch semi sitting - when I broke my shoulder I was doing myself no favours. Its not as bad as it has been, but am looking at trying to get it back to feeling ok. Posture posture posture in the mean time. some acupressure and maybe some yoga will help.

Harriet - can you tie dd's jobs to a small allowance? I used a complex accounting system for my youngest with jobs expected and extra, and subtracted if things needed to be done by me.can't remember how it worked, but I tied her extra expenses in girl guides as needing to be earned, maybe the extras for school as well. I think it is reasonable to expect that the drying space is not her closet as its in everyone elses way. GL

almost 4 am. I'll try for more sleep.

btw - we have had a change in the weather - few showers - so grass is green and growing again. I have someone picking up mower tomorrow. I want its key start and its selfpropulsion so I can see if doing my own mowing is feasible. I realise that since I haven't done it, much is overgrown here into weed trees. exposed roots though meant there were many difficulties. Theres a lot of cutting back needed. Some I can do - will need professionals for much. Trees I've planted in error that have grown far too much too.

trying again for sleep - I may get a few more hours or 2 would be nice.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

I'm feeling very off base this morning with getting up late, having to be at hair appt 1.25 hrs after getting up, and needing to head back out in a little more than an hour for dr appt. After hair appt I stopped at Whole foods for lunch and healthy foods...

The temps are falling back down again to winter levels here.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Got part of my exercises done, the rest will have to wait for DH to work me in for shower and help doing the exercises. He's out doing some service calls. Says they are time consuming jobs that don't pay a whole lot but everything adds up.

Did some bills paying. Got some paperwork done for Dson26.

Need to start on taxes for DH and Dson24. Dson36 always waits to the very last minute to give me his info.

My shoulder/arm feel really good today. I didn't do my exercises over the weekend and the I think the rest helped a lot. Now it is back at it. Hoping to see how I'll do with the pulley.

I have a box at work with things to put price tags on, or put back together after a customer has torn the bag open. Like socks and baby items. Anyway it seemed like I just couldn't get caught up, my arm just slowed me down so much. Like I would get two done and someone would bring 10 things more to do. the other ladies would help when they had a chance but just couldn't get it caught up. But yesterday I felt so good and got my box totally done. I was so happy about it. :D :D

Had a call from one customer, she was very upset. She dropped her film off 4 months ago of her child's first birthday. Somehow they had been thrown away. During the 4 months, she admitted she had moved and changed her phone number, so WM couldn't have contacted her and she hadn't called in during that time either. She wanted the store manager, the district manager and anyone in the chain of command. The assistant manager did talk to her but don't know if WM can do anything or if they keep a copy of what was developed somewhere. The assistant manager was not over PHOTO and didn't know what their procedures were. Moral of the story, if it's important to you, keep in touch or go get your pictures sooner than 4 months.

Working on laundry here now.

Sent dd an email to remind her of the plan, a la Dory.

"just keep sorting,
just keep cleaning,
just keep sorting, cleaning, sorting,
what do we do? we clean, clean, clean."

I could suggest that she could take before and afters but she will probably say, "moootttheeeerrrrr!"

Got a phone call from the tax folks and our returns are ready. That will wait. Dd's intervention can NOT be interrupted.

Can I say "grrrrrr"? Dh just called and had called the specialist's office. The gal on the phone told him they hadn't called because he was scheduled for a 'follow-up' on May 12th!!! Dh commented that he didn't think it made a lot of sense to have a CAT scan and then have to wait for nearly 12 weeks for the results. She agreed that he was right. Supposed to have the Dr. call him later today or tomorrow. Meantime I'm still waiting on flight reservations. :(

Dh was just heading to change his clothes to go to calling hours. Said it had snowed earlier -about an inch in 10 minutes. Said there was a massive man hunt not far from DS's going on. He'd passed all the sheriff cars, etc on his way to town that way to get printer ink for DS. On way back he had just seen someone run into the woods (after he'd passed the law enforcement cars.) He was just starting to call 911 when a Sheriff's car came up behind him and must have seen the same thing. They'll get him -whatever it is he's wanted for I'm sure. Dh said he wasn't going to travel too fast in all the snow. On his way out he said it snowed an inch in about 10 minutes and it was a complete white out.

My throat is feeling somewhat sore this afternoon and my head is beginning to feel it too. Not liking it. I went to W mart and bought a new ankle brace. Just getting ready to put it on and see if it helps.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Dee, I'm glad you just decided to buy - time to stop sweating the small stuff and take care of your needs. I agree with your "grrrr". Even if it turns out there is no news at all that can be learned from a scan, who deserves to know that in a timely manner? The patient!

I have to question whether dr's offices remember who is paying, or who the scan (or test of any kind) is of, etc. Sometimes you would think their office paid for private information and the right to keep it secret from an interested party. Or maybe that they hired models to take scans they could squirrel away, or paid college students to give blood they could test and then hide the results. And the charges are so high. Perhaps I'm just on this high horse because we got the bill for HRH 's brief, simple procedure today...yipes. Hope insurance doesn't have a problem with it, or if they do that the problem is with the amount.

I hope Lynlee is getting some rest.
