Re: MINI MONDAY
Elizabeth, I had a doctor tell me once, who was a cat-lover, how if my cat continued to jump on the dining room table and the kitchen counters, I should put lemon juice into a spray water bottle or squirt gun, to keep her from doing that because cats hate lemon water.
The problem was, about 1 year after we started this, she'd still jump up!
Then, we began noticing a rusty-looking light brown water-old lemon juice streak down our off-white walls.
We ceased the lemon "tip"
and just scold her now or get up and walk over to her, scooting her off, or carry her off. She's not quite as bad at doing that now, but when I SAY that, then she starts doing it a lot!
So sh-h-h-h... Don't tell her....

Re: MINI MONDAY
Well, it's much too late for me to be up, but I'm trying to relax after my day. Boy am I tired.
Dee, I would be disgruntled if I was your DH.
Oh I read through and now can't remember what I wanted to say. Anyway... it was another day. Long long long day. Parking was all taken in the back where I usually park, so found the front lot but not the door to get in and had to trudge a block around to the back. Found what they do with old beds, broken equipment, junk, they pile it all in back of the building. Unbelievable!
I napped a bit in the chair with my head on his pillow. I get so sleepy there. DH had good therapy session and a couple walks. We also went outside into the sun for a few minutes.
Dr. thinks he has an infection somewhere. 3 doctors at the hospital didn't think he did even though his temp went up a bit a couple times. This dr. where we're at put him on 10 day antibiotics. (I can hear Harriet saying take yogurt - but he hates it and won't). He is also taking some kind of protein supplement. Dr. ordered another 2 things for him to take, I almost fell on the floor when I found out it was a multi-vitamin and a vit. C! These places do NOT let you take a vitamin or mineral.
Cleaning gal told me she heard my fight with a nurse a couple days ago. I'd gone down a hallway with my arms full towards a door with an alarm and she actually screamed at me. I would have realized I'd headed toward the wrong door when I looked out its window... so not a big deal but she was really upset. I guess I yelled back asking why was she screaming at me? Cleaning gal said I was right and the mad lady was out of line, but that's how she is all the time. Well, I felt validated, anyway!
Every day's a new experience. DH's emotions are all over the place and close to the surface. Prior to this I've only seen him cry once. Now tears come quickly. I feel bad for him, he's struggling so.
I came home an hour early so I could get gas in the car before the place closed. Then I spent the rest of the evening doing projects at my desk. Some important stuff was piling up.
Going to drag myself off to bed. Thank you all for being so nice. I feel like everyone has forgotten me here, except for my one friend who has visited twice and sent us both separate cards. I'm a little shocked that we send cards to so many others (our whole committee does this) and we've not received one from any of them. I don't quite understand...

Re: MINI MONDAY
Just (((big hugs))) and lots of love. Harmony. I can certainly understand your disappointment with the "card committee." Sheesh. Little things like that mean so much. Hope tomorrow is better.
Tomorrow is another day.
