Jealous, Helia! I was up at 5:45 on Wed/Thur mornings, but couldn't do it this morning.

Re: Last of February Friday
Hi everyone! I have gone to knit/crochet group and worked on commission jacket. There was no lunch with friends for me, haven't heard from them. I did call in advance. I have purchased a lock for the gun case my art teacher gave me last night and emailed the X that he doesn't have to store mine anymore. With a 12 yo, I just feel better being able to lock it away. The strange thing is that my dad's 22 was stored on the wall in my bedroom while I was growing up, easily accessible by standing on my bed. No problems. Grandfather had a large collection, again, no problems. Uncle had loaded guns in every room of his house (he and Aunt were KKK targets). We all knew to leave them alone. Where did this paranoia come from?
I have dropped off an overdue book. Once again, I learn I should have checked my calendar! I should have ordered a cake while I was out, so I will have to go out again. At least I have gas now. Onward, into the job search!

Something isn't right with my computer. Sometimes keys work, sometimes not. I can't get on the unemployment claims portion of the DWS web page, even following their directions. So discouraging. I am hoping a complete restart will fix things. I so cannot afford computer trouble right now.

Re: Last of February Friday
Little things accomplished today. Not much.
Income taxes finally sent, birthday cards sent. HRH visited at hospital without me. Errands to help dd. Long conversations on the phone because my mother's first cousin died in sleep at 94 and my first cousin's daughter is in the hospital with some scary symptoms. Then of course I feel obliged to let these callers from my own family know about HRH's ddad, and that starts another round of concern, appreciated but long-winded. Just a lost day in many ways.
I did get the baby shower gift ready for Sunday at church. I guess I do have the TaDa of getting that ordered fast and wrapped fast even with a crazy week. Also arrived and stored away: my order of a half-dozen of my fav hair color of herbashine. Wonder if, even with that large order, I'll just wish I'd ordered a full dozen soon?
Elizabeth and others with computer trouble: I can't get my new 'puter to sync with printer somehow, and whole words or lines are omitted. For instance, a map quest set of directions with all the "right" and "left" words gone....???? A printed USAToday article with lines missing .... ??? I wish us all more compliant technology.

Re: Last of February Friday
Hello everyone. A quick post here before I get supper ready......
***Two hours later...
Well, supper was first I guess. Then I exchanged texts with dgd16. Supper's over and cleaned up. Doggies fed, watered and petted.
Dh had phys. therapy this afternoon. We stopped at the vitamin shop on the way home and since it was after 3 pm and rush hour had started we came straight home. I haven't got any more done today than daily routine. Oh well...it's Friday and everything's just about done for the week.
I'm hoping the weather is pleasant enough to do some work outside in the yard in the next week. This winter has left the yard looking a little scruffy around the edges. Lot's of leaf raking needs done.
Dee, Yes, I'd love to be able to meet!
Helia, congrats to dd15's swim team on their 1st place. Great opportunity for ds. (Spring is coming...honest!
)
Twins', wishing you a pleasant trip with lots of fun!
Harmony, I must have missed that dh moved from hospital to Rehab place. I hope is progresses well and can be home soon. It will be much easier for you. Wish there was some way I could help!
Nancy, I sure didn't know hens would eat tacos!
Waving to everyone! Time to post this.

Re: Last of February Friday
Successful church supper. Someone said it would have been nice to have more people but we ended up with only a couple of servings leftover so that sounds perfect to me.
Corn bread was a hit. I made 2 batches along with warming up the one I froze from Wednesday. In total, I have 7 servings leftover.
I've done almost 13K steps today. Very sore.
The church was cold so I came home and put my warm dressing gown on over my clothes, had a cup of tea and watched another episode of Downton Abbey while the washer ran a load of laundry. I'm going to hang that up now and then go to bed.

It was cheese tuna in a wrap, the day before I cleaned out the fridge the hens thought it was thanksgiving! All but 3 are sleeping outside.
After the kids left I tamed hot spots then took a walk bs was excellent before dinner. One last load of clothes to do.
Made some great progress on a crochet shawl I have ripped out every day this week! Prayed and decided to give this pattern one last try.
I enjoyed u-tube of baby chick brooders and knitting.
