I didn't post here on Friday, as it was a "bad" day of IBS and I talked to the nurse. NO caffeine for me now. :( Am dealing with the headache, started the liquids-only diet, then have switched to the BRAT diet. So far, have had rice with margarine on it for lunch and dinner. Have pediatric electrolyte stuff I'm drinking, which was breakfast this a.m. Napped about 45 min. in my chair, got a terrible headache, then slept 3 1/2 HOURS in bed. :shock: Trying to keep hydrated. The rash is calming down from the high groin area with yeast-groin infection and secondary bacterial infection. I've got until the 7th - the 10th, to "see" if it is cured, then will call the nurse again, if it's not. :idea: I feel VERY well *rested*, which is good.

DH and I got a new washer/dryer on Friday, have been doing up ALL the laundry, so today was dark clothes, towels, then sheets. It'll be so nice to sleep in a fresh flannel sheeted bed tonight, too. I sweated so much last night, so the sheets and my gown were damp when I got up. :o I'm post-menopausal, so it's not one of "those" night sweats. :idea: I also feel I've picked up a cold from the dr. office, from Tuesday the 25th. :roll: I don't know if it's allergies, which it could be, because I did a LOT of cleaning in the utility room, sweeping, counters, dusted the rest of the house, except offices, bedroom, and Bunny Room. Then, DH vacuumed, so it honestly could be an allergy thing. :?:

I'll continue the BRAT diet until Monday, then will try "real foods" then, to see what happens. :?: At least I'm feeling better, we're getting all the laundry done, and it's been a good day. :D I had the laptop off because of sleeping. :lol:

Dee, I wish your DD the very best with your dgd. It's sad, but they need to do what they can to help her and to help control her, too. And YOU Get Well Soon! :!: :D

Harriet, Sorry about all that long estate work and then the final lawyer's bill- especially for a small town. :o

Lynlee, So sorry about your fall! It's such a bad place. I have osteoarthritis there, use Icy Hot Roll-On on it, and lean against the wall in a squat position, to give the lower back a straight flat surface, which helps. Also, when you're not in pain, pelvic tilts do help. :idea:

Sunny, How many dogs do you have, what breeds, and how old are they? I miss a dog. :(

Kathryn, You have a heart of gold, a kind heart and one of care and compassion, too.

Haromy, Your dinner sounds delicious! Good luck with the wheelchair. Sorry about the small size wheels. Can you rent one? :?: Is this just temporary, until Mr. Harmony can use a walker, perhaps? :?:

Waving to Sadie, CathyS, Booksaver, Nancy, and Twins' and those I've forgotten. Have a nice night. :D

Quick c-i before lights out.

Hello Ivy. I sure hope you continue feeling better. We have two dogs, both labs. One is yellow, her name is Blondie. The other is black with four white paws and a white blaze on her chest. Her name is Minnie. Hmm, ages...Blondie is 11 yrs. old and Minnie is 8 yrs. old. I'll have to see if I can find some recent pictures to put in our updated outdoor spaces. Thank you for asking about them.

Lynlee...sorry to hear you have fallen. Maybe a heating pad would give some relief from any soreness. Take care!

(Lynlee) ouch! So sorry and I hope you feel better soon. I couldn't catch on to your first paragraph.

(Ivy) I was assuming you felt better from IBS, so sorry it is still going on. Wish I'd known you were going to go ahead and buy new washer/dryer and would have commented on my adventures with new one - well, I wish I'd commented on my new washer even if no one here was going to purchase.

My new Roper is fine. It sounds like Maureen Robinson's (Lost in Space) washing machine, although it is certainly not as fast as hers! Very quiet and robotic sounds with flashing lights. Everyone who has been here when it was running comments in some way about science fiction, lol. However, the learning curve has been long on this one, so I couldn't recommend it for someone who was new to washing clothes. I have no intention of doing without my Downy fabric softener, and the machine has no intention of letting me open the lid just anytime, because its spin cycle is super fast. Even when not spinning, often the lock will be on the lid.

So I had some frustration at first, but have read through the operating manual carefully and learned that the 3 "casual" cycles have the rinse cycle I expect, with time to put in the fabric softener as usual into a complete fill of water. (the 3 "normal" cycles have the new spraying rinse). Even though the spin is really intense, so far I haven't had any complaints about wrinkling. I was a little worried that for drip-dry, wrinkles might be a problem, but I guess not. My usual "kick out" of wrinkles in the dryer for a few minutes still works. I believe drip-drying time is shortened a little.

Birthday girl begged to have dd15 stay overnight, and since there was only one other girl I said yes. I'll be picking dd up at 10 in the morning.

HRH and his first cousin visited at the hospital this evening and called me to say what a great visit they were having, with his ddad very alert. This is the best visit HRH has been able to have with his ddad through this whole sickness and we are grateful. It may not last long, but he is rallying at the moment. I'm waiting up because they are still not home. It was nearly 10 when they called. Wonder if the nurses were ready to kick them out.

(((Lynlee)))

(((Dee))) (((dd))) -- re: all the chaos w/dgd. At least she is at the facility and not under your roof! * whew *

So glad HRH is having good visit w/his dad.

More who need hugs I'm sure.

This day has just been a big loss. I'm kinda kicking myself for being ridiculous.
WHY can't I master that s2s FIRST THING thing??? Good grief. :oops: :evil: :cry: :oops: :evil: :cry: :roll: :roll:
Ate breakfast around 10:30 -- dh got Hardee's...
Back asleep on the couch immediately after.
Did not s2s until around 4:00 pm... although I did manage to
* wash 3 loads of clothes in the meantime, and
*hung 2 loads to dry.
*Went to dmil's and did not take time to hang the last load.
Also
*talked to dmom during that time, and
*sorta watched a basketball game w/dh.
After visiting dmil, I had a few more accomplishments
* 4 bags of stuff deposited at thrift store bin
* went to bank
* went to post office
* picked up our supper
* went to movie (The Lego Movie) (I can't see why it has been the #1 movie hit for the last three weeks, but it is cute. Kids love it, obviously. We liked it, but you know, I've seen better. Nonstop was MUCH better, LOL!)

DH wants computer. DH has had computer tied up with baseball games all day. * sheesh *

Editing to add, at 12:59 a.m., I have
* wrapped dmom's birthday present
* done bedtime routine
* copied down Philippians 4:6-7 (Be anxious for nothing...) on an index card, b/c I am already thinking about NEXT YEAR, when dmom turns 70 on a SUNDAY, and what a mess that's going to be to try to get dh to cooperate with going to church with her and dinner afterwards... I know -- I'm not spinning this in my head TOO MUCH... but the thought has crossed my mind already... * sheesh *
* put away two Christmas gift bags and tissue paper that had been sitting in closet floor for a month or so

Going to lay out clothes for tomorrow and go to bed. Suddenly... it is SUNDAY already!!!
Tomorrow is another day.
