Thriving Thursday
I hope that we can all thrive today in whatever we are tackling.

Re: Thriving Thursday
I'm awake. Have had my tea and chocolate. I'm in my workout clothes and intend to do my nails and then workout while they dry.
There's a sign on my front door to the electrical inspector explaining that he will not be working today because, frankly, the whole thing stinks. Garage door is down, other doors are locked.
Dh has left for the day. My timer went off at 2:30 waking us up so he'll be doing his cognitive testing without enough sleep. I feel really bad about that. The battery was low so as I was setting the countdown timer for 8 hours, the screen went blank, then came back up with the time of day so I assumed it had failed and rebooted due to low power. Should have taken the batteries out then, instead of after it went off.
Ds wrote to say that he's got a job and staying in Australia. Sigh..... On the other hand, he's working with TGF so maybe that relationship will continue to grow and that's not a bad thing. I was just looking forward to having him here to help. She's coming back in May so I can wait until then.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Awwww, ((((Kathryn)))). Thinking of Ken as he has these tests today. Trusting that the 'inspector' will just plain go away & stay away.
I really slept in!! Just got up and now can't find some of my capris. Hmmmm.....maybe I already packed them. It's quite possible. So I will do a lol and wait for it before I dress.
Off to do my morning routine, albeit LATE!

Re: Thriving Thursday
My treadmill computer is not thriving.
Chrome stopped opening on the weekend. I can use Firefox but no Chrome.
So at the moment the only two things working on my computer are Firefox and Media Player (to play my workout music.) Despite nothing else running (not even in the background according to Task Manager) I can't get Window Update to work or Chrome. I'd reboot but that will stop my workout music and I need it. Besides a reboot will take most of the rest of my workout and I don't have the patience for that.
Sigh.... this is a Win XP computer, and at least 5.5 years old but that's no excuse for it to stop running a browser. Later today I'll set it up downstairs and take off everything but the photo files, music files, recording software (my new computer's sound card doesn't allow me to record things) and browsers. I don't need backups of the other software on it. Nor do I need my business backups (things like SHE files will stay on since I sometimes refer to them while on the treadmill.)

Re: Thriving Thursday
Hi, I've just finished cuop from the past couple days. It's been crazy around here.
Glad to read Lilac made it home, Lucylee's tickets arrived, and OKay's MPB is fixed now (hope your DH feels better). Hope the Harriet's have a quiet restful day today. Sorry about the smoke building, Kathryn; maybe it won't be an issue.
Tuesday I had to take DH to jobsite, with an armchair. He didn't sit enough. I stayed and worked hard all day. Wed. we went back and worked until we got rained out about 3:30 and came home like drowned rats. DH is standing too much. His foot was swollen last night.
He refuses to listen to me.
Today his helper came and picked him up. They had some more work and will go to the landfill to dump truck of rubble. I have worked harder than I have in a long while and I am sunburned, my face and especially my neck. It feels sore, especially where the seat belt crosses it.
I am catching up here now. I have one LOL hanging outside, another in the washer. Dishwasher loaded and run. I am cleaning up, need to mop some floors where we dragged mud in last night; need to get Rx (mine). Better get busy..

Re: Thriving Thursday
I am back among the living after a slight relapse on Monday. I had scheduled a work day at church and felt I had to show up. I was the only one. So I spiffed the kitchen a bit and cleaned out a bit of the fridge. That almost did me in. Slept the rest of the afternoon.
Tuesday, I had a blood test scheduled and then slept most of the rest of the day.
Yesterday, we went up to Prescott and put the down payment on the summer lot. We also met up with some our next door neighbors from Salome who have moved to the Prescott area. Stopped for hot dog at Costco and dog food and then headed home. Dog and I slept the rest of the afternoon.
I feel pretty chipper today. Have lots of clothes to fold - they were washed but not folded or put away. And the dishes are always waiting.
Cough is going away but some spells still last up to a half an hour and make my stomach and ribs hurt. Will be glad when that is behind me.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Done my workout. Spent an hour in total (short break to apply another coat of nail polish.)
Have finished my breakfast and am s2s. On hold with the Landlord-Tenant Association to make sure there is no application before them to increase rent. This is a rent-control building but at any time a landlord can apply for more so I need to know if this is likely.
I'm on a corded phone so need to get switched to a cordless phone in order to do something else while on hold.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Phone call done. I need BGS, again.
I think ds's news has kicked me in the gut more than it should have. I got used to the idea of him being home by the end of the month and now I'm sad.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Hello Dear ladies,
Chilly morning here, it's actually in the 50's but feels cold. High should be in the 70's.
Kathryn, so sorry to hear dson is not coming home sooner. Also sorry to hear the building allows smoking.
Our satellite has a problem and the man is coming between noon and 5.
DH is out but is trying to get back to make sure dusting is done around the TV area.
My Dboss okayed my Sunday off. DH has been talking to the person in TX, has requested money be transferred between accounts. Pieces are falling into place. Haven't been able to get in contact with his sister yet. Want to make sure she will be home when we come through. Will try to have a meal at a restaurant with her and her DH.
Going to work on taxes again while DH is out. I have my sling off. 18 days to go before I'm sling free.
