Dgd is here no dance today she arrived unannounced I was in the shower w/soap in my hair. So a bit of a change in today's plans.

Bed is made chicks & hens fed, only a few eggs in house as we've sold the rest. I need to get to the store at some point.

Hello Kally, I see your 'light' on!

I'm chin deep in paperwork this April 1st since the 1st quarter is done. I have just done some payroll things and need to go print off some forms which I haven't done for the year yet.

I have a couple errands to run as soon as this is more on the way to getting done. A report to pick up at an office and a bill to pay at a bank. It's on the way and saves me a stamp.

Tonight is church committee meeting and yesterday I did my minutes and printed them off. Need to get going here, y'all have a nice afternoon.

Busy start to day, now quiet.

Got out the door at 7:10 (woke up, s2s, tidied upstairs, had breakfast, grabbed computer.)

Got to the Dr. office at 7:50, locked. Went downstairs for 10 minutes and I did the payroll cheques for the banking after. Went back upstairs, still no-one. Knew they were moving so dh peeked through the edge of the frosted glass and discovered nothing inside.

We phoned, got the new address and high-tailed it for there, arriving 25 minutes late for the appointment. Seriously, even when I talked to the person at the office last week, surrounded by moving boxes, she didn't mention that we'd be meeting at the new location (the two doctors were splitting the practice so I thought our doc would still be there.)

Appointment went well. Dh's perfectionism seems to be his issue. Cognitively, there seems to be no issue but compared to being perfect (dh's standard) there is an issue. That doesn't account for all I see so we wonder if hearing needs to be aggressively checked. The doc said that stress aggravates the results of the tests so when dh was stressed, he'd do worse. So managing stress is very important and offered some idea for further counseling or learning meditation skills.

We hit the banks and grocery stores on the way home and arrived at 10:25. At 10:30 the mover's estimator arrived, 30 minutes early but I was prepared enough for him.

That's done. Dsil had the same company in for a quote yesterday and my guy told me to tell the kids to ask for the Preferred Summer Rates if we both go with the same company.

I'm going to have lunch now and then get going on paperwork some more.

The sun is still shining so we should be boiling sap today as well.

My new computer was shipped yesterday but is coming from China so it won't be here until Saturday at the earliest.

Good morning dear ladies

As of yesterday about 3 o'clock, I am sling free!!!

Doctor said my shoulder is doing well. Slept in my bed last night for the first time since surgery three months ago and it felt so good.

Still have a way to go with getting the full use of my arm back. Feel such joy as I am able to do more things, like use both of my hands to wash my hair. Doc wants me to continue to work on range of motion and no strength training yet. Will go to pt once a week for check in of progress and assignments to do at home.
Going to work in kitchen for a bit. Washing dishes and counters are excellent for shoulder therapy.

Good afternoon all.

Glad your shoulder is doing well, Sadie! My ddad started physical therapy last week and is still in a sling. I hope it is going well. (He had the roatator cuff surgery about 3 weeks ago.)

Today, so far, I have
- printed out copies I needed for tutoring; I couldn't decide late last night when I was prepping, after working on teaching stuff
- s2s-ed, got ready to go
- tutored 9 - 10:30
- went straight to the groc. store
- came home, put everything away
- had lunch.
- NOW

It is 12:30. I need to stay focused today.

Next:
- finish a.m. routine is first
- also update laundry, though that is sort of part of the a.m. routine

It is sunny and 56* right now - and very windy. I'm contemplating a jog this afternoon (the wind won't be fun going one direction), but I need to work a lot on the teaching, which is going slowly. And I'm out from 4:15 - 7:30 or so today with dd15's oboe lesson and then a dinner date with dd18. Actually, I think dd18 is babysitting until 7:00, so I might have an hour at home to work before dinner.

Lots of little things I need to remember to do. . .

Hmmmm, btdt, Kathryn. Just about a year ago I ordered my new laptop -only after did I realize that this H P was coming from China also. Talk about the proverbial "slow boat" -that was it. It was a few weeks before it arrived.

Well I had a long phone call with dm. Then I started on my sewing. I have 2 finished and the other 2 are cut out and pinned. Now to finish them..............

Well, so, here I am - back home in Nevada after a wonderful Winter in AZ. Of course this is nothing like AZ. It is cold and our mountains are full of snow. Which is a very good thing! We need water so badly.

I have everything put away except the clothes. They are still in the big totes but will soon be hanging in the closet again. This is my very unfavorite thing to do when we come home.

Our very dear foster daughter (wife of foster son that died - I hate writing "widow") will be here tonight to hopefully stay a couple of nights. She came up north to have a little get together of his friends and former co-workers in Sparks where Mr. Guy and M worked together for years and we all became close. That will be Saturday and Mr. Guy and I will be going up there for it. I'm still having a hard time with the fact he is gone. Gone but never forgotten that is for sure.

When Cowinkie mentioned a new bag to use when she travels, I do hope she means when she and Sweetie come up here to see us and the beautiful part of the country where we live. We would like nothing better. I know Sweetie wants to show off his Cobra (car, not snake) and he and Mr. Guy can go hot rodding together. Mr. Guy's new toy - a '31 5 window coupe arrives from Charlotte this week. Yes, Harriet, we did it again! We ordered a car sight unseen when we should have come back there to look it over and have lunch with you and HRH. Someday I hope to get to NC, especially it is where my GGGrandfather was born. Lots of Scots history there!

I keep track of all you forum friends and I wish all of you the best. As I've said before, not a great poster but you all mean a lot to me.

I've got 1 lol washing now, DH is gone to town, the gutter-cleaners are here, my cat's spooked, and absolutely HATES strange men around Mama (me!) when DH is gone or otherwise, if they're workers. Window washers, plumbers, gutter-cleaners, etc.. Just 2 neighbors she loves, who are men. Guess she can "sense" that WE like them, too.

I finished the gift box with red/white hanging dishtowel & 4 red/white dishcloths. Put them in a floral box, in tissue, (for BFF) and tied the bow with a canvas-looking trim, which is red with white stitching- to match the kitchen set! Wow! How did THAT happen?

I have love music on, to outline my template forms, for love and light romantic stories. The music seems to get me in the mood for love-writing. It's so strange it works that way, but it does. I find it rather comical. I can do this with DH's baseball games, too, but NOT football or car racing. I can do it to HGTV and shows on Alaska, but not all TV shows. It's like some shows jinx me.

I'd better get back to starting my first story template outline. Maybe I can get 2 done before DH returns. The gutters take 1 - 2 hours to do, too. DH left at 10 a.m., for Panera's and we might have clean gutters by the time he gets back. We're so grateful for the window washer attaching our chimney cap yesterday, which had been ripped off by a bad winter windstorm about 6 weeks ago. We paid an extra $25 for that job, but it's worth it. Now DH doesn't need to call a DFriend to bring his bro's bucket truck into our back yard patio. Also, it eliminates us moving a big bench, table/chairs, planters, etc... for them to have room to drive up. It's such a joy it's been taken care of. I'd better get back to work now.

G'Afternoon everyone! A nice spring day here for the first day of April....sunny, blue sky and 75*. I love not having to dress in layers, too, Dee! and BookSaver!
I can hardly believe the first quarter of the year is done either...time seems to go faster and faster!

BookSaver, I'm glad you are having some nice spring weather, sounds perfect for a Sunday afternoon drive. When my dsis and I were little, my ddad always took our family on a Saturday or Sunday drive in the country. Then we'd stop at our local Islay's Dairy for lunchmeat for sandwiches for the week.

Twins', this past year did go fast, but you were very busy and I think you got a lot accomplished.

It is peacefully quiet at home. Dh went to W-M to walk around a bit. My regular clean-up, p/u-p/a routine is done. Today is Desk Day for me. I will balance checkbook and get ready for this month and see what bills are due this next week. Also will take care of some email.
