Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
Hmm... I also am joining those who had trouble sleeping last night. I woke up around 5 a.m. and had trouble getting back to sleep. Eventually, dh was awake too - and we ended up getting into a "heated discussion" - dh didn't want to call it an argument - from 6 - 6:45. I did sleep about 45 minutes after that so the girls were on their own this a.m. and dh said that is perfectly OK. Dh left this a.m. to catch a plane. He'll be home tonight, is just going to a meeting in DC.
I have bought my return ticket from Austin after I move ds down, done my a.m. routine, have lol #2 in washer, had lunch, and have sent out a lot of emails: trying to square away my trip to Austin, moms group clean up help tomorrow (I need to leave early), worship for tomorrow, Tori drop off tomorrow, dfriend S2 still hasn't sent me the confirmation she should have received re: our camping trip this summer, dh emailed me from the plane this morning - found a used car he's going to look at tomorrow for ds to use this summer. ..I still need to email my parents re: my plans to see them this weekend. I've told them before but a confirmation would be nice, I'm sure. Also need to email re: Th. dinner crew too. Need to email out my hand out too.
I'm meeting with my student mentoree in about an hour and need to prep for that a little. I also need to make sure dd15 has all she needs for her trip, which is why I'm still doing laundry, albeit small loads right now. The band leaves for France tomorrow afternoon, which is why I need to leave moms group before clean up. I am her ride to the airport. Would be nice to go for a jog today. We'll see. Leftovers for dinner, so that will be simple. Somehow, I need to finish pulling my teaching together. I sure would have more time to work on it if the rest of life would just disappear. . .Or if I had Hermione's time turner. LOL!
Off to work on the teaching and keep laundry going.
--This sat here while I finished my emails. Then, I wondered why my post hadn't shown up. Oh, boy. . .

Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
It is good to 'see' you, MT. Between you and me
and I'm sure others from time to time.......... Remember when Elizabeth couldn't get on at home for some time.
Well.....this morning was anything but "wild & crazy". I snoozed, deep enough to have a nightmare (or would that be a 'day'mare?) Then snoozed off again. Now I'm (obviously) up and maybe I can accomplish something. Think I'll at least work on my 2 'projects' for the day. Might even walk out to the road to get the mail.

Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
Good Afternoon! I have 9 more min. of morning here. Tax lady visited this morning, stopped next door to talk to car insurance guy, had breakfast at the Inn and stopped for a few groceries. The rest of my day will be emptying the clothes totes and getting all that back in shape and hung up. I so hate this job!
I know it has to be done and plan to do it right, which means a pile of give-aways too.
I was reading Cowinkie's post to Mr. Guy and we both are knocked over when we learn something new about Sweetie. With all the time these two spend on the phone you would think that had all been discussed. Nope! He is not a "look what I've done" type of guy. We were just laughing and shaking our heads. What an interesting guy he is.
Our "foster-daughter" did not make it last night, but called early this a.m. and she will be spending tomorrow night with us. She has a lot to do preparing for M's "Irish wake" on Saturday. I am so glad she is doing this up here in their old hometown. Then she will do it again in their present town in Arizona.
Here's hoping you all have a great day.

Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
Hi everyone. What is going on in this village? We need Mr. Sandman to come around and sprinkle sand everywhere.....I was up quite a bit, coughing last night. So I slept in and missed my Sisilaw at the door when I was in the shower. She's an early bird and gets up 4ish and always surprises me at some stage of unready.
Lucylee, I do hope DMil's tests were not hard on her.
OKay, love the mower idea. I used to love pushing ours around when I was little, though I never learned I had to finish a job or even to go in straight lines... Did the tooth fairy come?
Ran to bank with our tenant rent cash...always grateful to get some of that. Been working on paperwork. I did a bunch last evening after my church meeting which ended early. I have the whole month / quarter / and miscellaneous forms, spreadsheets, records, all done. Very good progress. I guess with all that's been going on around here I wasn't sitting down to do miscellaneous stuff and it all showed up at once.
Now I have to go out and mow the lawn. I have a serious case of donwanna. I got up and put on nicer clothes than normal and my hair has been all curled, etc., I don't feel like getting all dusty, etc., but if I don't I'm afraid DH will get on the tractor...
Yep, Maxwell Smart - that's the guy!

Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
Yeah, OKay!
Tooth-is-gone day!
That's great,
at any rate.
I'm happy for LO,
who must be SO
happy today
that his tooth's out and away.
Now the Tooth Fairy comes.
Hum-dee-dee-domes....
I wonder if he'll get a dollar.
Oh, how he'll holler!
This brings back memories sweet,
when my little ones were neat
and small and very cute.
Why do they grow up? Shoot!
Yes, it's a wild & crazy Wednesday!
It's a good day to work & play, I say.
I've s2s early, dressed, stripped the bed, wrote a letter. Will wash 1 lol = sheets, 1 lol = towels & facecloths. DH is mailing a pkg. to dgrson-turning 3, getting a haircut, then will get mail.
I tried a new bread company's breads yesterday/today.
Had a pumpkin muffin yesterday, which made me burp-burp-burp. Had French toast from their country loaf of bread for dinner w/a fried egg. This a.m., I ate an orange scone, which made me burp-burp-burp, then my ankles started throbbing terrible, even my lower lip was throbbing and swelling. I have low BP, rarely swell up from sodium, but this bread must have too much salt in it.
I'm not fond of the way I'm feeling, so told DH maybe it's not for me, after all.
I sent away for a pen pal booklet, listing pen pals in it, today. I ordered another pen pal news sample copy of their newsletter, too, the other day. I'm looking for an Alaska pen pal.
Everybody, have a great day! This is just a quick C. I.

Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
Pulled out a project for 'tomorrow' -a travel file. Been going through many papers in there -designating most to a 'burn' pile. I'll probably take this pile home with me since there's nowhere to burn it here. We have a chimnorea at the campground where I can legally burn this stuff. I'll just pack it all in one box and label it (what a concept!) then I'll sit by the fireplace one day and just burn away. I had emailed our investment counselor to see how much I had to save and her response was that we could save none or all of it -however we decide. We can always get info from there or online if we need it. So....I've decided that if dh keeps no more than 5 years that's plenty. We simply don't have storage space. My big project this summer will be to try to clean out our storage area. There's a lot of paper work in there. Some is even (how I ended up with it, is anybody's guess) from ds-A's business back in 2005. Will ask if he wants/needs any of it and I'll burn that too.
Dsonil is out mowing -must be in the air. Know dd won't be home today until late.
I was trying to transfer files from my old netbook to this laptop. Can't get it to detect the transfer cable, though it shows up on both computers. Maybe I'll just go the ol' e-mail to myself route. Was hoping for a faster solution.
Now my old computer is shutting down, BUT first it had 39 updates!

Re: Wild and Crazy Wednesday
Didn't sleep well last night - one more in that column.
So much trouble that I ended up super-sleepy after the school run and napped.
Day hasn't been "on-target" since.
Groceries bought (pharmacy-one had to be handled later yesterday because of dd needing supplies for school, too.).
Happy for LO.
Interesting about Cowinkie's Sweetie.
Bon Voyage to helia's dd15. Have a safe trip.
((Harmony)) having to take on chores quickly, possibly messed up clothes, etc. You can't get ahead of everything - you'll exhaust yourself.
Hope Mr. Emptynester's ears feel better.

Dmil was home by the time I started back to the hospital... all that remained to do was to get a stool sample... which she supplied... but dh had to collect... with a little bit of help from me... and dh and I are both awfully squeamish about all this. Ugh ugh ugh...
So then I took THAT to the hospital lab...
Dmil seemed no worse for the wear, but dh is VERY anxious that she not forget her meds. This is going to be VERY difficult to oversee, unless we start making 3 trips a day and watch her take it each time. Dmil cannot remember ANYTHING.
Went to the bank...
Talked to ddil for a while on the phone -- she had also been to the (same) doctor this morning. SHE was up all night with horrible back pain, nausea, etc... and he sent her for an immediate urine analysis. She said at this point she is pretty positive herself that it is a kidney or bladder infection, and doctor went ahead and prescribed antibiotic, pain med, and anti-nausea med.
We have really been keeping that doctor busy this week, haven't we?
Once dh & I got home, we found we had to call Directv technical assistance for the 3rd time since Monday...
and they are sending us a new receiver ASAP. DH retired to the bedroom to watch the Braves and I have been on the couch ever since. I did manage to dust behind the tv while we had it pulled out. (It is not a flat-screen... on the contrary, it is a HUGE Sony that insisted 4 people were required to unload. DH and ds did it on their own, but I was sure one of them was going to be crushed in the process and die.)
I also sewed button back on dh's pants, a casualty of his morning adventure.
WTG, LO!!!
I am very impressed, Cowinkie, w/Sweetie's inventions. That is amazing!
Hope dd has a great trip, helia!
Glad to see MT back with us, and certainly hope Mr. MT gets some quick relief.
Hmmm... (((Harmony))) Don't you just HATE that, when you're all cleaned up and then have to "waste it" doing something that will get you all sweaty... Phooey. But I can certainly see why you want to beat dh to the mower...
Dee -- I tried to get dmom to burn a bunch of papers. She says she "has to" get a load up to go to the landfill "someday."
* sheesh *
Waving to Ivy... Norma... Nancy... Harriet... and all to come!
