I got 2 walks in today. I walked alone this noon time and with my friend this afternoon.

Walking and walking and walking at the Games we attended yesterday was mine, Cowinkie and Nancy. They have a huge property, so everything is spread very far apart. Apart from the regular rounds of every area, I made extra trips when the boy's water ran out, when dd15 needed to return to the car, etc. On my feet for 5 and a half hours, with seated breaks for only 2 events, sitting down under a tree once just because (pregnant) daughter said so. So I'd say 5 hours on my feet, all out in the 80 degree sunshine, so I'm grateful I had a hat with a brim. Whew! Legs are feelin' it.
Eating was bad enough during their visit that as I was falling asleep last night I noticed my fingers/hands were actually painful from being bloated. So lots of water and salads are on the agenda today.

Cowinkie, hope there is a solution for you. All those ads we see about the failed mesh thing - a lot of them were put in for stress incontinence, which is the drop escaping when one sneezes or coughs. If only those keegels worked..
Exercise Sat was all the cleaning outside, dragging the hose, etc.
I have added another minute on the elliptical. It was not horrible to do, that last minute so I am sure I have added strength / stamina, yay!

I walked 1/2 hour with my trekking poles and DH today, outdoors on the lane. It was quite the workout. Am trying to build upper body strength.
I sure felt it, too!
I conked out and took a 1-hour nap.
A reader board quote, I listed at PWYC, can be good for this thread. Here goes:
"What the mind can conceive, it can achieve."
It's that way for dieting, working out, goals, visualization of goals or outcomes of what you perceive you'll look & feel like at goal, & it's just a great quote for just about anything & for everybody. It can be for studies, work, housework, a garden spot you're working on, health, etc....
Just wanted to share.

I stretched, walked 30 minutes, and stretched again. My weight was down 3 Lbs. and DH's blood sugar went from 128 down to 108, too. So exercise and watching what we eat is a good thing. It's also nice to be in this TOGETHER! And my only doing it solo all the time!
I enjoy his companionship.

Re: Health and Fitness, April 2014
After Saturday being a huge exercise day that was really too much and bothered my piriformis muscle/sciatic nerve
Sunday - off day
Monday - just back stretch
Today - TTapp basic workout
What I'd like to do for the next few days is build back up gently. Maybe the 2nd and 3rd thirds of Total workout, day by day. Then I could decide whether I'd like to go every-other-day with longer workouts.
Eating has been good and the water weight from the weekend seems to be gone.
Trip to the vitamin store today. Bought some magnesium after thinking through some of the things said here, and following up by reading all the good things Dr. Mark Hyman has to say about it. Also bought turmeric, of interest to HRH, but that probably has to be just for HRH, since I have a known gallstone.
Cowinkie, I hope the dermatologist bit turns out to be no big deal.
