Bought my third pedometer in six months. I had one for years without any problems the recent ones either fall apart or don't read accurately.

Walked puppies a mile and taught all day. Haven't a clue how far I went, but in the past it was always well over 12,000 steps. Might be the reason I'm so tired tonight.

Haven't been on the scales but I know I'm hovering around a big goal. Just want to stay focused and stay the course. I know if I don't see the number tat I am looking for I will be disappointed after all this time. So I think I'll wait until next Monday.

Thanks Harriet...I'm not too worried as I have a friend how has been through this many times over the past 12 years and she really knows the ropes. Helps because she's been through this an worse so she can tell me what to expect ahead of time. That keeps my imagination from running wild.

She had a place on her chest almost identical to mine. I'm too old to worry about a scare. I'll wear it like a badge. I'd just like to get it over and done with cause I can't accept subbing positions next week until I know when this surgery is. Sometimes the Dr. will cut the bad part out and leave the wound open. It can take time to determine if all the cancer is gone. That means you have to come back the following day, either to be sewn up or have more of the affected area removed. If he needs to take more then we have to do the same thing all over again.

Cowinkie, Good luck on the derma doc appt.

I did 1 hour of housework & laundry, to add to my activity today, other than the 30-minute walk and stretches.

Cowinkie, as much as I think it is overpriced and not worth the money, my Fitbit is 17 months old and I wear it almost 24/7 (sleep measurements at night, steps in the daytime.) No problems with it falling apart and it still seems accurate.

I will say the fitbit website updates instantly with my new computer. So my old computer was obviously sluggish. On the other hand, I can only update my steps using the dongle on my computer, fitbit will update to some phones and tablets but I have the wrong edition of tablet so although it says it will work with mine, in brackets it says (2013) and I have 2012 version. I hate it when companies completely redesign hardware or software but keep the same product name. The only way I can tell which I have is by looking for a second camera.

My knees started to act up last week so I cut out the treadmill. I usually only post here while on the treadmill so I haven't posted for a long time. I did manage to average just under 8K steps per day last week. Did 8K on Monday and 5K on Tuesday so am on the treadmill today to start upping my average. Friday should be good since we've got the walk through the village with the cross and tomorrow I'm showing the new minister around.

I'll be really sore on the upper body tomorrow after hand scrubbing the kitchen floor. Boy it needed doing, though, so the pain will be worth it.

Since my knees are sore today, I'm taking the treadmill slightly slower but still going for distance. I'll get going late today. I was late getting out of bed.

I'm doing WW (on my own) and using a tracking app on my tablet. Was doing well until we went out to dinner unexpectedly on Saturday, planned on Sunday and then the senior's luncheons. I managed to pass on dessert the first day but was too tempted on the second day.

I'm not on program but at least I can write everything down and maybe that will keep me ever mindful.

Stayed with my plan, doing the 2nd third of the total workout (20 minutes, tough) and my eating was still good. I am eating a lot of exactly the same foods from day to day, and that's okay. What works, works. Got in enough water again today. Wish I could have done a little more, but I'll work up to it.

apple, small
1 slice bacon and 2 eggs
skinny muffin with wild blueberries
'big tossed salad and chili, sour cream
small serving rice

Hoping it will be okay that I've gone back to the liquid of my multi-vitamin. I had stopped because the citrusy harshness of it made me worry that it was bothering my stomach. But the equivalent in capsules is just way too many to take and I end up just having a couple all day long. When the dr started questioning whether I was getting enough of something as basic as B-12, I began wondering what others I was limiting. I took the liquid with the muffin today and didn't feel any ill effect.

Calories in & calories out were right on yesterday & today. :D This little CalorieKing dairy is super. I walked 30 minutes, in-house, on the cell phone with DD & Dgrson-17.5 tonight, too. Glad I got the exercise in because had failed to do it until about 8 p.m. At least I got it in, which is a very good thing, as Martha would say.

Did a walk.
Going up and down stairs revamping my craft zone rethinking my creativity room it may need to be a guest room. Sigh that was exercise. So I will be doing this for the near future.

Hanging in there. This week is full of field trips with LO school which means many steps and sack lunches. Today is the last field trip. We will be hiking in the mountains (similar to hike Kathryn & ken took when they visited here). Let the fun continue!

*PHEW* I survived a week of being on the run and horrible eating. I was a bit shocked and definitely thrilled when I compared today's weight to last Friday weight. I lost 1.6 lbs!

Even though "flying by the eat of my pants" worked OKay this week, I know from previous experience that it doesn't usually work that way for me. When I eat without a plan then I usually have weight gain. I'm going to take this week weight lose as a unusual gift and be grateful.
