At least it is for me. Know it may be anything BUT for some of you.

I didn't get up until after 8 -WOOHOO for me! Usually it's much earlier. Was awake from about 4 till nearly 6 though.

LucyLee, you didn't miss anything -DD had to bring gd15 home Sunday afternoon as they were making a trip (to tour a group home) in Boca Raton yesterday. She traveled nearly 700 miles when all was said & done. When they got to the home she was asked, "Do you have an appointment?!?!" She showed them the email she had. Seems the person who made the appointment no longer works there and didn't pass that info along. They scurried & gave them somewhat of a tour & some info. She really did like this one even better than Umatilla, but it will depend on financing. She doesn't know any of that yet. They also will not have an opening till later June (when the school year is up -what a concept! GD is to be discharged May 19th, 3 weeks before the end of school! DD has no idea what to do with her in those 3 weeks. Not enough time to register her for school IF she could even get in one. So LL, she only came home overnight. DD asked her to spend some time with them in the living room -NOT -she spent the entire evening in her room. So that was duly recorded at the facility where she's presently residing.

Made myself do 2 DPC first thing so they're off my mind!! Dh had a pretty good visit with his gastroenterologist yesterday. But they have scheduled an edoscopy for the end of July. Read after we got home that he's to have an appointment 2 weeks prior if he takes a blood thinner and/or has stents or valve replacement. In this case -all three. Made that call but receptionist wasn't sure he'd need to be seen since he was just in. They're to call back. Then I had to change my Dr's appointment. Couldn't get in now until June 13th -that's ok. Suppose I can lose 20# by then?

Typical day here - nothing seems to be going right!

We are up and s2s. But first we went out and disturbed the garden built around the septic tank lids so the inspector will get access. That took about 30 minutes. I finished most of the tidying and had my tea while dh showered, then I showered and got dressed just when the inspector arrived.

He can't get to one bolt on the lids because the deck has sunk down. Sigh.

I have 105 minutes before I have to leave so need to finish my tidying, start dinner for dh and then do the things the accountant asked of me. Then pack my things and head on the road. I'm doing the long drive up because the choice of restaurants are better where my friend works than where he lives. So that adds about 90 minutes of driving for me today. On the other hand, a later lunch and longer drive means that I won't have as much time between lunch and my dinner meeting (which is 5:15.) I'll hit Walmart and I have my books with me so I can do my exegesis.

Thanks for opening the thread, Dee. The only title I could think of was "Loopy Tuesday" but I didn't want to wish that on the rest of you.

I woke up feeling really dizzy. Not terribly concerned, because I hugged a lot of people this weekend, so was exposed to a lot of germs. DMom even mentioned not feeling well and having a cough, but she didn't give any other details.

I've been up a couple of hours. Most of the dizziness passed soon after I came downstairs, but I'm still feeling a little shaky. I made a banana smoothie by blending a frozen banana with a little milk. I sipped on that for awhile, then slowly ate a graham cracker. I'll probably go back to bed soon.

I had planned to run errands today, but now I will wait to see how I feel this afternoon before I try to drive.

It's annoying how often DH and/or I get sick after going to family gatherings. It isn't as if we are hermits, we both go out in public and work with lots of other people so I think we should have built up immunity. I guess going to a different town an hour away involves getting zapped by different things.

While I am giving whatever bug this is time to settle down this morning, I will finish reading a library book so I can return it tomorrow.

Good Morning!

I'm on schedule and trying to stay that way. I am seeing vast improvements in many areas. Still have a lo-o-o-ng way to go before everything can be caught up. Baby steps...

Breakfast = Scrambled eggs w/chopped ham, grated potatoes cooked in cast iron skillet = crunchy and soft. Mmmmhhh. I'm still trying to decide if I like the extra flavor that coconut oil adds.

LO has a ball game this evening so everything has to be ready ahead of time.

Dinner is going to be simple. I've ordered a loaf of bread from local lady. She posted a few pictures of her bread making process yesterday and I was intrigued. Boar head pepperoni & mozzarella cheese rolled up and baked inside an organic loaf of bread. I'm hopeful it taste as good as it looks.

OKay we haven't bought the coconut oil to cook with but the soap I got in Hawaii has it and we are loving that. Of course, there's the whole "big bar" of soap novelty too (we usually use leftover soap from hotels so this bar seems gigantic to us!)

Not sure how the inspection is going. Our yard is certainly getting aerated as he digs hole after hole. Not sure if that's a good or bad sign. I'd feel better if I had pumped out the tank sooner than 8 years ago! On the other hand, our son and dh maintain that a well functioning system won't need pumping ever. And we certainly protect our system well by only using single ply toilet paper, virtually no caustic cleaners and keep grease out of the system as much as possible.

Two more tasks and then I need to leave so I won't be panicked over any delays on the drive. Must print off my map, too.

Us too, Kathryn -rarely had our septic system pumped in the 40 years we lived in our house. Well, I guess the first one was and then the 2nd one was built by dh & friends. The wood on top eventually rotted & fell & plugged the tank. That was fun -NOT! But here we have a 1,000 gal. tank with no leach field so it has to be pumped at least once a season (at 16-cents per gallon -needless to say, we're careful of how much water goes down in there.) And we too, only use single ply -there is an "RV specific TP" but no one we know of has ever had a problem with the single ply. But it's sometimes amazing to me when 'newish' campers have a problem with their septic systems -like filling it in a couple of weeks (or in some cases even less) because they take long showers and aren't in the least careful of how much they're letting just run into the system. Then they're quite shocked when they get a bill.

It's drizzling off and on out there. Dh has sod to put in shortly -know a load was to be delivered at 10am.

Feel kind of bad for a long-time neighbor -he has Huntington's Disease I believe and is becoming more & more disabled. He has a gorgeous motorhome and took it out for some work yesterday. He ended up leaving huge, long ruts in his lawn (which dcampowner says he is going to bill him for this time -this isn't the first) and then when he was leaving the RV place he hit a pole with the side of his MH, doing $1,000s in damage. Ouch! Last year he left the electric & water connected when he pulled out. Oh-oh! Big repairs that time.

I need to do laundry but may try to get one more day. Haven't used the new washers/dryers on the hill as yet. Dh said yesterday that dcampowner has invested $20,000 in new ones for up there and the new facility that's being built now. Can't wait for that one to be done. It's a 1-minute drive in the golf cart or 3 minutes walking. May force myself to walk for the switcheroo each time. Now to make myself do it. If I leave my cart there, walk home -that will force me to walk back to put in the dryer, etc. Good plan -if the weather's decent that is.

I'm just rambling. Have to get busy and do something. Guess next up will be to do my meds for the next 2 weeks. Dropped my diuretic pill on the floor under our table today & couldn't find it -so robbed from another day.

Peeking in. I was off to a great start this a.m. and then got distracted by this machine. Dh and I went for a jog first thing this morning as it would be too hot and humid later. I jogged horribly but am glad I did it! It is already 78* at 11 a.m. That was the forecast high for today, which I think is incorrect as -- I think temps will rise a bit more. We're having sunshine and clear skies!

After the jog, I had bfast and started a.m. routine. I need to finish that now and then prep for a quick run to the groc. store. Not much to get, but we do need a dinner plan for Thursday night. Other than that, I need to work on laundry (always) and moving ds' things out of the bedroom that will become the guest bedroom for dfriend staying here Thursday - Sunday.

Some things are coming together now. Band return volunteers are shaping up for next week (and May 30 for symphony band), so that is good!! I'm encouraged. I've also gotten a date confirmed for moms group leaders' annual dinner out together. I now need to figure out a time that works best for the women and work on reservations. After looking at flights and hotel costs, we have decided to go to Naples for our nuclear family vacation pre-Netherlands extended family gathering. Dh booked the tickets last night. Ds and dd18 will appreciate the history there via their Latin background and their high school senior (2 hour/day) humanities class, which is basically, a year long overview of art history, political history, music history, and literature starting with ancient Mesopotamia. Ds thinks the literature part of the class started with Plato. Now, we need to work on hotels.

Few more piddlin' jobs done. Just finished putting up my meds for the next couple of weeks.

Had finally placed scotch tape on my shopping list -after 'kinda' looking for 9 days. Wallah! Found a roll -can scratch that for the time being I think. That will also allow me to do another little job that's been waiting for days.

Finally gotten somewhat sunny here after about 2/10" of rain overnight & early today.

Think I'll label some folders for my 'action' basket now & get those things organized. Especially wanted to get dh's medical sheets in one folder so I can easily access them.

Safe travels today, Kathryn -sure you've already left, but our thoughts go with you.

Have some books to go up to the camp library which I was waiting for dh to take. Perhaps I'll try to get them up there later if the door is unlocked. Don't think that will be until after 3 though, if then.

RE: Septic tank system - Ours is about 60+ years old and we had one problem with it since we lived here (20+ years). The state required us to install new lateral lines to our septic system to bring it up to current code. Our grey water doesn't go into septic system so that eliminates extra grease and chemicals going into the septic tank.

I paid several medical bills and have the paperwork backlog neatly stacked. The stack is now down to 4" tall after throwing away all the envelopes, ads, and unnecessary papers.

Bathroom floor has been scrubbed by hand (and brush). It certainly needed it! This bathroom needs to be renovated soooo bad. I asked DH yesterday to please ask around again in an effort to find someone to do it.

Lunch is going to be tuna casserole with some extra veggies. I need to throw it together now and get it into the oven.

Twins' Mom, though it sounds like a lot of your trip was really intriguing and fun, I would have been so uncomfortable at that big restaurant meal as well. Sometimes I think when people drink (or other) a lot when in the company of new people or a variety of people, it sends the message that they are disinterested in the assembled company. They don't really want to stay alert to meet them or interact, or learn anything about them. It's sort of dismissive. A shame when all of you are important to a young graduate, who wants to be proud of all of you.

BookSaver, you are probably really hugging and in close contact chatting with others when you are with family. At other places you might walk right by people with a much worse "bug" but not be close enough to make any difference. I hope you feel lots better soon. You could plan a bit in advance of get-togethers to have wipes in your purse? That might at least help with what your hands have touched.

Dee, just don't let him be pressured into leaving after the endoscopy until he is completely steady on his feet. If you remember, my dfil Joe went in for an ordinary endoscopy, was sent out over wife's questions about how woozy he seemed, and fell and broke his hip right at the car door. There is a tendency to think an endoscopy is not really a big deal and forget that the anesthesia is still significant. Our family learned that an endoscopy is one of the most likely procedures for too-soon dismissal.

Dee, I think you can lose one-third of that! Don't want you trying for 20! 6 or 7.
