I took a rare nap for about an hour. Naps rarely refresh me but seem to have opposite effect. It feels like someone pulled the plug and my energy drained out.
It is hot (97 degrees) so I took LO to local spray park. I intended to walk the perimeter around the spray park to get my steps in while still watching LO play. However I ended up chatting with friends while we watched the children. I so appreciate parents who actually PARENT their children. One of the older boys pushed LO down. I didn't need to do a thing because his mother was instantly on her feet and walked into the spraying water with her clothes on (getting drenched) to speak to her child and then stood there while he apologized to LO.
Dinner was Meatball Subs. I had all the ingredients ready so when we came home from the park it was easy to assemble the subs and put under broiler to melt the cheese on top.
Tomorrow is LO last day school program. His class is dressing up in several different ways. LO is suppose to dress up as a cowboy. EASY. I'll do a little extra care to his normal clothes. Add some starch to his jeans so they have a sharp crease and also starch/iron cowboy shirt. Put a fresh coat of polish on his boots. And brush off his cowboy hat. Guessing it will take about 15 minutes....... Grabbing timer to see how long it really takes...*POOF*

Re: Tuesday timing
* whew * I am sooo tired.
I guess dmom's procedure went well -- she felt quite well enough for me to leave her after we stopped to get her lunch, plus another stop for gas, and another stop for bread.
They said they would biopsy several samples -- I guess that's the word -- but I guess that's routine w/any kind of polyps, etc. Doctor said everything looked better actually than he expected.
She will have to see him in a week or so, I think, for the results.
I helped her clear off another (tiny) bit of space from the infamous kitchen table. Paid half dozen bills and took them to mail, threw away misc. papers (from one stack) that were not needed, took cosmetic/skin care package to post office for her marked "refused." (She is having a hard time convincing C indy C rawford that she really doesn't want to use her products after all, LOL.)
Stopped by dbil's office, bank, and got our supper. Visited dmil w/dh.
Babysitting now. DGS has a terrible, terrible diaper rash, caused (we think) from diahrea... so he and I are staying home from the nursing home singing tonight. I'm kinda glad, although I hate that dgs is having this problem. DS says two times before with same symptoms they were advised to stick to Pedialyte till diahrea subsides, so they did not feel it was severe enough to call doctor today. They can buy Pedialyte w/out a doctor's order, LOL... and they have cream that has helped similar rash before... soooo... hoping and praying he is doing better before we leave on Friday.
I think dgs and I both need a NAP. I slept about 3 hours last night.

lucylee, so glad your dmother had an okay day - started to say "good" but the "good" part was probably in getting home and having one medical thing over. Congratulations to both of you on Desk Day. Diaper rash - a good zinc oxide cream like Balmex makes such a helpful difference as you probably know. Gee, we don't get as many diaper rash reports in the village as we used to.

// // // // // That is applause for the mother that walked into the spraying water to confront her child for pushing LO down. I have no doubt that she made a big impression on her ds and he won't be doing that again. KUDOS to her for not worrying about what anyone thought and stopping that behavior on the spot.

My estimate was off. It took me 31 minutes to get Cowboy **costume* for tomorrow ready. LO is thrilled because he has reason to wear his spurs to school.
((((LucyLee DGS))))) Boudreaux Butt Paste was a staple in our home for years.
I signed LO up for another summer activity. A 3 day baseball day camp being held in June. Still want to find him a gymnastic class if possible.
time to get LO into bed. Last school night to have to watch the clock so carefully.

Back from choir. Had fun. Plus another load of things is out of the house (all our albums and our turntable plus assorted other things.)
Dh had to go back and get my purse which I realized I had left when it wasn't in the car to take into our house. Thankfully, it isn't too far. Goes to show how tired I am.
Off to bed as soon as I do up the few dishes that can't go into the dishwasher.

Re: Tuesday timing
I visited dsis today - very long day of travel.
Along the way our vet called with lab report for dMacs - he has MRSA in his affected joint, so he is starting a six week round of antiobiotics. I called dd, who was coming home today and asked her to pick up his meds since I would be home late. I don't know what this means for him - apparently could be very bad news or he could get through it okay.
Later while ddis was in my car for a drive she asked whether she would be back by 4 p.m. to take her meds, and said that sometimes gets them late. She said that once they were being mean to her and she didn't get meds until 10:30 - which doesn't make sense. She said they were mean to her because she kept asking for them. (She has legitimate OCD.) I asked if they were ever mean in other ways, and she said they sometimes pinched her - and that she was pinched this morning when she wanted to get back in bed. Sure enough, when I checked she has a fresh bruise right where she said she was pinched. So I reported both issues - the meds being late just doesn't make sense to me, but she has a legitimate bruise that came from somewhere.
Oy. The things my mind is turning over today. Tomorrow I have to do some temple work for a 5:30 p.m. board meeting. The rest of the week is really filling up also and dh and I are leaving on Sunday for the beach.
I was very disheartened yesterday about all the bouncing around I did yesterday - hardly any time at home to get anything done.
Here's to a productive rest of the week!

Re: Tuesday timing
Just wanted to ci and say hello to everyone.
I've been thinking about Lucy's dmom today. Glad she came through her procedure good and is home again. Poor ((dgs))! Hope he's not uncomfortable too long.
Also Sadie's ds's procedure in July. ((Hugs)) for your dfriend
OKay, good idea you have of drinking your water early in the day. Sounds like LO will have an exciting summer.
Hoping BookSaver wasn't in any bad storms today.
Dee, good thing dh found your keys!
Good wishes for those who wish they felt better today.
I did some work in focus area and cleaned out one kitchen cabinet today. Need to do one more tomorrow or Thursday. I also straightened up my sewing area. Oh, I wanted to say I don't usually use a timer. If there is a plan to go out I don't start anything that I know will take a long time. Just do small, quick tasks. For the other things I just keep working until it's done or I get really tired and need to rest.
Time to let ddogs out for their last run.

Re: Tuesday timing
I talked to dsisil tonight and she was beside herself. Her dh will have to go to a skilled nursing facility when he leaves the hospital. His MS has flared up and he can't use his legs to move around. Because of the open heart surgery, he can't use his arms to position himself. He is pretty helpless. There is no way dsisil can take care of him. On top of that, he now needs to be on oxygen. They are about 1 1/2 hours from the hospital. She is leaving home really early, so she will be there to talk to the dr. at 7 am. Dbil also is diabetic. Dsisil said that the nurse told her he will need cardiac rehab and then general rehab.
When I told dh all this, he commented that dbil might not get to come home. Before the surgery dsisil was afraid he would not survive the surgery. She never thought of these complications. Dh's widowed younger dsis has been staying with dsisil for over 6 weeks. Dsisil has told me that if she ever has to live alone, her younger dsis will need to live with her. Dsisil has a choking issue due to her oral cancer surgery and having all her teeth pulled because of it. I am praying that he can overcome these obstacles and return home.
Today was the last day of dance lessons. These women which consisted of young mothers, another grandma and I all got along real well. I will miss them and watching 3 of the little boys who are under 2. It has been fun watching them grow, these last 9 + months.
Today a realtor called dd2 about showing the house. If she sells it, she will only ask 1 % of the asking price opposed to the going rate of 6-7%. I didn't realize this, but dd2 told me that a lot of our local realtors make you sign a contract, so that you can't by from an owner or use another agent while under contract with them. Dd2 said that is one of the reasons that she hasn't had much luck, because most people are locked into a contract. This a practice that has just started being used in our area within the last 2+ years. Anyway the other realtor will show it tomorrow.
Dd1 and her dh are still trying to get the situation with his dm figured out. It doesn't look like assisted living will work for her. They assessed her yesterday and it doesn't look promising. At least, she realizes that she needs to do something because she is very lonely with everyone working and all her friends are gone. If she goes to a nursing home she will have to give up her little dog which is what keeps her going. Dd1 said they will take the dog. That will bring them to 4. They had 2 and then when dd2 moved 2 1/2 years ago, they didn't have a fenced yard, so dd1 and her family took their dog in, which made 3.
We are to have chances of rain starting tomorrow night thru Monday. Dh is still determined to take his trip. While he is gone I need to get my summer clothes out and put away the winter stuff. So far, I have just been digging thru things to find what I want to wear. I would like to give my kitchen a thorough cleaning. I have also volunteered to watch the 2 little girls so that dd2 and her dh can have an overnight trip. I will just stay at their house because of dgd17. I also have a library book and many hours of TV shows recorded, so I won't be lacking something to do.
Guess I better head to bed............
