Ah, brought tears to my eyes, Kathryn. I really do need to take the time to learn how to do that. Thank you. Yes, I do feel better!

Re: STELLAR SATURDAY
I went back through posts trying to figure out what Dee meant by "special day" and decided it was just the cookout! Ugh. My brain is fried in the sun. Glad Kathryn was in the shade and coherent!

Re: STELLAR SATURDAY
Dee, I had dh telling me what to do! I was saying "I NEED SOMETHING IN A HURRY!!!" and he was preparing to run anywhere in the house for me but then realized I needed it off the internet.
You search for ascii art. So my google search was "ascii art Happy Birthday"
Now we can all be like Harriet! (Which is a good thing, in this case!)
Dh is busy changing the burned out light fixture in the basement bedroom. We picked one up at Walmart this week.
Just had one person through. It is just him and his wife so the house is too big for them.

Re: STELLAR SATURDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR DEE!
LASTING ALL NIGHT & DAY!
HAVE A MEMORABLE ONE, I SAY,
FROM MORNING TO NIGHT'S SETTING SUN!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEE! HAVE GR8 FUN!:D
I hope you're day's Very Special, Dee, because YOU- yes! YOU- are Very Special to us here & we appreciate all you do, too. You're a great conversationalist, too, have a wonderful sense of humor, you give us tips & suggestions, when we need them. You're an all around GR8 lady!
TA DAH:
- s2s, moisturizer, brows & lips on! (Now I can talk, with lips!)
- stripped the sheets from the bed, washed & dried them; need to make the bed fresh soon.
- I edited a story, DH read it, found nothing wrong, so I printed it, my cover letter, bundled up the mailer to ship.
- later, I read to DH, the story, he found 2 items, which didn't make sense: WHY DOES HE TELL ME NOW????
- I had to edit, proofread, open up the mailer, re-do the manuscript AND cover letter, then put them all back.
SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE THE WORST WRITER IN THE WORLD, I HAD A HEADACHE, BECAUSE OF THE ANGST THIS PRODUCED! (But it's such a cute story, for Woman's World.)
- I rested a few minutes because of getting a horrid headache.
- I'm washing towels now, I put fresh hand towels around.
- I purged a Seersucker to-big-for-me-now lounger, for the ARC donation. It's very pretty, too lightweight, I get cold in it, so it's going to bless a fuller figure gal this summer.
- I had lunch, took supplements & Acetaminophen (headache) & sorted the mail, which was 1 item from the community college.
- I need to run & dry towels now, make the bed, & try an insanely difficult-looking hot pad (crochet) for BFF for the holidays. It'll be pretty in red & white. It's quite unusual, is a flower with petals, for extra thickness & beauty. I hope I can pull it off, but if I can't, I've got another pattern up my sleeve, which will do nicely, too.
I was very unhappy when I realized my story had a goof in it, my cover letter did, too, plus I forgot my signature at the end of it. I was so down on myself, But guess what?
Happy Stellar Saturday!

Re: STELLAR SATURDAY
Oy. I after I last posted I picked up meds at the vet for Macs. By then dh had gone to the pool party. I had to do some ah, grooming, before I could go up there. I stayed for about an hour and a half. Lots of babies, little kids, I ate, sat in the sun for awhile. Came back overheated and napped - didn't get sunburned however.
Dd has gone back to K-town. Just called me and fussed because I couldn't tell her her Dropbox password. She was rude and I'm really unhappy over that.
I've rebooted laundry and started a last load. Going to relax a bit more before I proceed. I had wanted to get to Tar-jay today but may not.
Happy Birthday to Dee! Hope it turns out to be a wonderful day for you!

Re: STELLAR SATURDAY
DH turned on baseball & made the bed with freshly washed sheets by himself.
I put away & hung the towels, hand towels & crocheted facecloths & cleaning cloths. I'm "trying" to read on a book, as 2 books come (1 for DH & 1 for me) this week. I wanted to finish my current book first. I hope I can.
I have summer clothes in the dryer & washer. I found a skort & tank & another skort with sleeveless blouse in a set. If they don't fit yet, they will soon.
I have dark clothes/jeans to do after these are done & away. Am thinking about donating more clothes into my 5-boxes for ARC, but am uncertain which ones to let go of.
I like the more orderly closet.
It's still sunny here, there's 1 songbird out here with the most beautiful song, but it seems to "bug" DH because of his hearing aids. He cannot get ALL high frequencies, so he's probably only hearing a portion of the song, so it's most likely not as nice for him as it is for me.
Oh, the washer OR dryer just rang it's done. BBL!

Re: STELLAR SATURDAY
Thank you EVERYONE! Wishes truly made my day!
We went to the bar-b-q but as I predicted dh was running. Then someone needed him to move dd's MH -someone who really shouldn't have parked where he did this spring. He decided at 6pm to go camping somewhere. Then dcampowner had him do the last item for auction in honor of his ddad (who passed away in March). Oh sure! Dh could hardly speak himself.
He was very dear to all of us. He did bid (and won) a patriotic cake and presented it to me as my birthday cake!
And he bid on a pecan pie which he also won. Found ddil loves it so took some over to her. We each had a very small piece. Going to freeze the rest in individual pieces. Then when any of us want some we can take out a little bit. I love it, but too much sugar for me I'm afraid.
Yes those b'day wishes definitely made my day. There really aren't a lot in May. I see Lurky Lou's is tomorrow but she hasn't been around in a year.
Think I'll grab a blanket and go up and listen to the band for a bit. DS-R, ddil & dgs9 gave me a gorgeous dianthus plant. We have lavender ones growing on the berm but this is a bunch of really dark pink. So pretty. They gave me a hanging basket of pink petunias for Mother's Day. Dh would really like to plant some wave petunias on the berm again. They're always so nice out there. Put a lot of perennials in last year but now need a little more color.
