Ivy, I limit my hanging clothes to the number of hangars I have in the closet. I changed out all my hangars to the coated "velvet" hangars and if I can't find a hangar to put away clothes, it means something has to be purged. Two tops just moved to a box in the garage.

-check phone messages
-finish pulling out clothes etc to pack
-backyard, pick up doggie poop (A neighbor is going to mow our grass for us, we'll do the same when they go away)
-pay electric bill for dsis' house
-take my p.m. meds

I really feel rough and need this vacation but I sure do hate to leave Macs. He really does not seem to feel well.

I ended up skipping the yard. I got sidetracked and put on my pajamas and then didn't want to go out in pjs. Dh says the neighbor isn't mowing until Thursday anyway. I've started the list of things not.to.forget in the morning.

Last round:
-straighten up kitchen
-straighten mbr and bath
-get out toiletries travel bag to finish packing in the a.m.
-beach bag with sunscreen

Dh is asleep watching college baseball.

I was getting cold so came back to the house. Dh is still up listening to the band with ds-R, ddil & dgs. I needed to get inside. I'm a wimp.

See on FB that GD15 put out a 'blanket' invitation to any who wanted to 'turn up'. DD would love that! She made sure gd couldn't read her posts so had to 'unfriend' her some months ago. And I saw some of the replies and know where some of these kids come from.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEE!

Well, despite getting up yesterday feeling so stressed, the day ended well as I got all the vacuuming done and mopped all the floors. That takes me probably 1 1/2 hours in this place. I must time it someday. Course, I have to do a lot of pickup along the way.

Today I had to take a meal to a friend who is 3 years younger than I am and had a stroke a week ago. She is able to get around but not able to talk fluently or write. I did a big grocery shopping this morning - somebody please remind me not to go to that big shopping store on a Saturday morning - it was beyond crowded and annoying.

Then I made a nice big batch of food for her. She is not allowed to drive yet and can't get to the store, and she lives alone except for the relatives who come over the weekends. And while I was cooking for her I made us a couple big dishes too.

I've been watching my favorite movies on Pi xel, which we've received free for the month. Not sure it's a good idea for me to be watching these 2 movies that make me cry over and over, but I can't help myself. I told DH I never had anybody look at me the way the main guy looks at the girl and he said well, I carry a picture of you around in my wallet...

Kathryn, I hope your mouse didn't pack himself into a box ready to move to his new home...

More work done was a new door cut, painted and installed as the people door for the henhouse. Very tight, New latches, which was bittersweet for me since my late dh affixed the old (still serviceable but worn) latches about 27-28 years ago. But it all looks good.

We're all very tired and dd, after taking a benedril for allergy symptoms, felt dizzy and loopy. She probably shouldn't take anything but non-drousy formulas.

Just want to say hello to everyone.

Haven't had much free time the last few days. Thursday evening we spent with dfam#1 at their elementary school for the 4th & 5th grade spring concert. They have a really good music teacher and each show gets better. Lots of variety with the songs they sing, dances and musical instruments the children are learning (mostly piano, but she has had students play violin, guitar and saxophone at times.)

Since then I've spent a good amount of time cutting fabric into little pieces and sewing them back together!

I'm going to cuop -- hope everyone is doing all right......

I got 1 contest poem submitted on-line & 2 Christmas/holidays poems submitted via email. It was nice to write poems again, for a change.

We ate a light fix-your-own-dinners tonight. I'm not hungry, but my stomach's feeling empty. I guess that's good though, for sleeping tonight, because it's 9:50 p.m. & too late to snack now.

I cannot believe tomorrow's Sunday already & Monday's Memorial Day, too. I started a grocery list for Tues.'s trip to the grocery store. I also put up some photos of DH as a very young handsome hunk, in my office. I put the grandsons with them & 1 of myself with our 2 kids. I need to print up some photos of dgd & 2 dgsons- 3 & 5, to add to the collection.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEE!!!

And greetings to everyone else. Cat clinic was cancelled this morning due to illnesses and absences among various fosters and clinic workers. I had a marvelous sleep in, followed by the usual Saturday knit/crochet group. I got to stay until the placed closed (5:00) because I did not have to rush off to pick up cats. Mom called as I pulled into the parking lot and I had a rather frustrating conversation with her. She cannot understand why I am not looking in other states for work. She figures I can just fly DD12 out and that will be just like actually living within a mile of her, right? When I reminded her that very few companies pay relocation now, her solution was even worse! Get a job in some city and rent an apartment. Sell all my furniture and simply start over. Oh, and I am to dump my cat on the X (the other woman is allergic and he claims to be also, though the allergist's report contradicts him). Can't rent an apartment with cats right? I suppose they are replaceable like furniture? I never intend to rent an apartment again, don't like shared walls. There is no way anyone would adopt my 14 year old tamed feral cat. AND I DON'T WANT TO LIVE LIKE A GRADUATE STUDENT IN A CRAPPY APARTMENT WITH NO FURNITURE!!! I guess she means well, but that would be such a step backward in my life, I would only consider it if bankruptcy were my only alternative. In her favor though, she wants to get me a shingles shot for my 50th birthday if a doctor oks it. An unusual gift, but it's something I actually really DO want when I am 50.

After the knit/crochet group, it was too late to go to the library, so that will be put off until next week. I was able to renew a book online, but I want some other books too. And a Dr. Who video. I have sprayed weeds in the yard, unclogged the master bathtub, run several LOLs, and eaten dinner. Everything I eat causes horrible bloating. I cannot wait until my health care becomes effective 6/1. I already have an appointment with the gastroenterologist. I've checked lots of email, and done a small amount of job search stuff.

Still left to do: catbox and cat food, sweep and mop MBR floor, add swamp cooler pads to errand list, and find out when my friend is having her 5th degree black belt test. Her Tae Kwon Do level is now high enough that there are not many people who are qualified to test her. The next degree may have to be tested in Korea. Guess I'd better get cracking. I may also do some crochet with Hogan. I'd rather crochet with the Doctor, but don't have the DVD yet.
