THURSDAY TA-DA'S

Post by DeeClutter »

I see there's a few of us online. Think I'll start a post and then if no one has a new topic I'll go ahead. Here comes dh for a stop-in -obviously not long as he left the truck running.

Had a bite on my ankle last night that kept me awake a lot of the night! Can't believe how the itch spreads out.

Talked with dd for a while last night she did NOT have a good day with gd15 by any means. Perhaps I'll post in MO later today. Prayer needed for sure!

I got 2 loads of laundry done yesterday but it still needs to be put away, so that will be on the top of my list.

Very gray and cool out for the moment. Hope it warms up. There's a classic car show here tonight and Dh volunteered me to 'take the money'. I'll be ok if it's not too chilly. Guess I can do anything for a couple of hours.

Good morning, Dee. Get some itch cream onto that bite! ((dd family))

Kathryn, perhaps you could research bike locks to find out if there's anything new out there? I think for most of the really good u-shape you have to have a power tool to cut them and will make noise, which thieves hate to do.

((Cowinkie)) joining OKay in ouches.

I'll be working in the kitchen until this load of laundry finishes and then Round Robin through the house.

As the dew burns off I have a lot of outdoor work I could do, for sure.

Dd34's last day at work was Tuesday so she did end up working right up to her due date. So far there is no news but time to be ready to jump. I need to finalize a mini-suitcase.

In case my transportation help is needed for the children, I need to print out directions dd34 sent me, from hospital to her dmil's house. The children will be sleeping there until the family all comes home from the hospital. Also want to move our own booster-style car seat to the car trunk in case it is needed.

We 'aunts' are getting excited, Harriet- a new board baby!

Munching breakfast as I sit here so maybe starting to move a little. I keep hearing 'heavy equipment' & trying to decipher just what they're doing where. Oh, bet I know. There was a double jungle gym up by the rec hall. Dcampowner announced the other night that there would soon be a super playground going in. Bet that's the noise. I need to go to the grocery store and have a major case of "donwannas'.

Dfriend/neighbor who has been battling ovarian cancer is due back here tomorrow. She spent the winter up here for chemo and was finally able to go to FL for the month of May (late April). Was able to go see her in Zephyrhills just before I came home. She's really doing quite well so maybe we'll be able to do a few things together when she gets up here.

I am finding (thanks, Okay/Kathryn) that the 3-minute round robin in our park model spiffs things up so I'm not nervous about someone stopping by. It's not easy keeping a small space neat, tidy & organized. Especially when dh has NO time and just drops things as he comes in.

Dee - Thanks for the start this morning

I love the stories for my owies!

I've have followed timeslot schedule this morning. It is relaxing to me to get things done but at a steady pace....no scrambling & hurry.

I sat down so LO could climb into my lap and snuggle. Muffins are baking in the oven and will be done in a few minutes.

Menu -
B - Oatmeal/raisin/apple muffins, milk, OJ
L - Salmon patties, potato salad, spring mix
D - Chicken & rice casserole, Green beans

Focus =
** Closets
** walking for exercise
** Bed #6 in garden (pumpkins) plant okra

Need to get LO hair cut today and do some list buying which means a trip to town. There goes 3-4 hours out of the day.

Think that's my deterrent when it comes to laundry and shopping, Okay:
There goes 3-4 hours out of the day.
It's at least that if I go to the grocery store -none less than about 22 miles away at the least. And to do laundry now (I used to be able to come home while things dried if I needed to, but not now as the dryer will only run 40 minutes and then have to put in more money -hoping they're able to correct that soon. Clothes even at "high" heat are not dry after that length of time. It's becoming a drag real fast in doing laundry.)
It is relaxing to me to get things done but at a steady pace....no scrambling & hurry.
Me too. Finding that if I take the beginning of the day slow & easy I'm getting a lot more done than when I was pushing myself to get more done early. One step at a time.

Did notice yesterday that my knees weren't hurting/aching like they have been doing. Hope this trend continues. I know it's hard to get/keep moving when every step is just plain uncomfortable. And I'm noticing the 'house' is looking more in order every day. Still plenty to do in deep cleaning before dbil/dsil arrive toward the end of next month.

Hoping dd is able to come up for a few weeks near the time she wanted to come up. All depends on GD's placement -she's already decided she will not bring gd to NY. (Which, sadly, is ok with me). :|

Big day here.

You'd think we'd be jumping out of bed, like children on Christmas morn. Nope, I finally dragged dh out of bed at 8:15. We both slept poorly.

I suspect that as excited as we are about the new home, we are dragging today because the step forward to get the keys is another step away from this house. I don't want to stay here, mentally I've moved on, but I see my putting off getting my day going (we need to leave in 90 minutes and I still have to s2s and eat breakfast) as a sign of mourning with the lethargy that comes with that.

Once I leave here, I'm not sure when I'll post again but it will be after 2 p.m. since that's the earliest the internet hookup will happen. Phone should be working by the time we are there or shortly after. We hope it is working before 2 since we need the phone to buzz in the internet guy!

Did my 3-minute rounds. Some rooms it's getting harder to spend those 3 minutes, unless I go 'all out'. I have 2 fairly large bins setting on the living room couch awaiting the contents of the 3 cupboards (6 doors) in the front of the RV. Not happy with the disarray they seem to have reached over the last couple of years. Time to clean and PURGE. I'm sure (especially since I've hardly touched some things in there) that there is plenty to head out the door. Have a bag started for Goodwill, so hopefully between that & the trash bin, there'll be more room. Been trying to figure how to make it easier on myself to get things out of these low cupboards -between there and the kitchen. There is a corner cupboard under the kitchen counter, facing the living room. Think I'll put the hard to get slow cookers in there and then use the one cupboard in the kitchen (which has no shelves) to place all my computer bags, filing bags, etc. Know it's not kitchen, but think I have to think more about what will work.

Thinking about you, Harriet, as you begin your prep for your new baby run.
