What's the weather forecast like for you this weekend?
Our weather has been cool but is heating up steadily so that it will be bordering on hot on Sunday. Not sure about rain and sun, though. Haven't taken time to listen to a forecast (and not sure that puts me at a disadvantage since they are almost always wrong!)
What is the household forecast like for you this weekend?
Will it be sunshine and pleasant temperatures or stormy? Will a fresh wind blow through your home? Are good things, that you've carefully cultivated, sprouting or has inattention caused your lives to become weedy?
The household weather here is unsettled. And I'm having difficulty keeping track of the days. I worried that the clock works haven't been picked up yet, thinking the movers come on Monday and I'm not home much between now and then. In fact, I have an extra week before the movers come. My mistake is partly due to being overwhelmed but partly due to the fact that I'm so far along in the packing, I thought I only had Monday to finish (and with a bit of effort that would be an achievable goal.)

Re: Friday Forecast
The mix up on the date for the clock to be picked up kept me from sleeping last night. I'm running on 4 hours sleep and a lot of tea. Forgot the melatonin last night - wonder if that is why I've been awake since 3:45....
Got out of bed at 6. Dh is also having trouble but dozed off between 5:30 and 6 so is going to try and sleep some more.
I've unloaded the dishwasher and had my tea.
Next up is to deal with the weedy patch of mail. I haven't been opening it lately - not a good thing.

phone call from a friend
breakfast
s2s
otd
xrays - not too long a wait - yay - they have gone digital - sigh - msg says - report not inside. Hoping the gp/general practitioner will obliged to provide same as I may want a second opinion depending on his opinion. My referral to orthopaedic doc is still current I think. I suspect a scan or mri might be needed to see if nerves are impinged. Pdoc agrees with me that is likely. He's seeing waisting where I see lumps and sore bits on my palm. GP was thinking tendons. ... not sure that anything is possible for my bumbo though. It may be helpful for a chiro to have xrays.
bank - chq for AT W/E. posted. term dep
few groceries. New mop for my cleaning person. Bought flowers $8 diantus. My favs.

home
walk 3k - I'm better from suspected low BS cycles from medicine the other day - I think.

Re: Friday Forecast
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HARMONY & DH!!
I'm up and going. Not following timeslot schedule but just staying busy & "following my nose". So far this morning I've walked on treadmill, worked in garden, talked to DMom (she called before 7am to continue talking about DAunt) and looked through emails & today's schedule.
Yesterday I spent 9 hours with DMom helping DAunt & family. DMom stayed in the hospital with DAunt while DUncle, DCousin and I went to their home and got it ready for DAunt to be brought home from hospital today. OH MY! I felt so very uncomfortable and sorry for DUncle. He kept apologizing to me for the clutter in their home. I kept telling him it was just fine and it wasn't bothering me a bit. It took about an hour for the 3 of us to move stuff from an area in their living room to make room for hospital bed. Then was waited and waited for hospice to deliver the bed, chair and stand. There was a mix-up on the delivery. Finally about 3 hours later than was expected the bed arrived. As we were finishing putting it together, DMom called from the hospital and said DAunt has taken an abrupt turn for the worse and told us to come quickly. I did lots of praying as DUncle made the drive back to hospital doing 20 MPH over speed limit on those narrow 2 lane road with no shoulders. Cell phone coverage isn't available for much of the drive so staying up-to-date with DAunt status was hit-n-miss. When we would come to top of the hill I could get voice messages from DMom but couldn't keep cell phone coverage long enough to place/receive an actual phone call. ANYway - DAunt made it through that episode and was aware enough to know DUncle was back by her side. Cancer sucks.

Re: Friday Forecast
Yesterday's experience make me more determined to declutter. DAunt/DUncles home is a large (4000+ sq ft). Their *things* are amazing. they have lived and traveled all over the world and have precious do-da's from everywhere. Hundreds of precious do-da's. On the wall....floor....every horizontal surface available. BEautiful furniture in every possible inch available. There was no place to move anything to make room for hospital bed. Every possible spot was full. We ended up putting it in the middle of another room (den)....which means that room has just a narrow walk-way through it. That room is now unusable because it is STUFFED full of beautiful furniture and precious do-da's. Their life is in crisis, so it isn't time for them to make decisions how to solve this

Re: Friday Forecast
Good Morning Dear Ladies,
Happy Anniversary to the Harmonys
Sunny here.
Woke up in the night too, about 4 o'clock and couldn't sleep. Read for awhile and slept from 6 to 7. Stomach is a little queasy. Maybe something I ate?
Have to be to work in a few hours so hoping it settles down for the day.
Hope Ken and Kathryn have a smooth day during this transition time.
Thinking of Okay and family.
Off to the adventures.
Great day to all!

Re: Friday Forecast
Now I've had some eats, perhaps I can post. My computer has been acting differently the last day or so and even now. When I go away from a site & close out my internet -when I come back, it's exactly where I left off. I've always had to bring up any site again (which is usually this one.) Maybe it was an auto update somewhere?
Kathryn -good that you have that generous extra week. I find myself doing that as well. Thought I had a mammogram appointment yesterday -not till a week from Tuesday.
I just got up about 45 minutes ago. Had an extremely restless night. Had a bite on my ankle and it obviously disturbed the nerves around it. There was very little sleep but lots of anti-itch cream being applied. Hopefully tonight will be better.
My BS was quite low this morning so had to eat before I could do anything! Now that's done & I'm beginning to perk up a little bit. Still not s2s or anything else. Oh well, I'll just plug along & what needs to be done will be done eventually.
Worked at a Classic Car Show here last night -mainly 'taking money'. For a first time we did very well. Sold out of burgers and the 50/50 raffle went pretty well too. I was tired by the time we came home & still I didn't sleep. Spent nearly all night in the recliner. Went in to bed about 5am.
Clear blue sky out here, Kathryn -and I think a good forecast for the weekend as well. Lots of campers were pulling in last night -being only Thursday I guess the forecast was getting people out early. A lot of people bring their RV's in and get them parked in their ideal spot and go back home for work Friday -but then they're all set up for the weekend.
Being quite hopeful that dd will be more than able to come up when she had planned. If all goes well in their corner this weekend, then hopefully it will be a good 'fix' for all concerned. Know the couple who want to take GD "on" is willing to seek help for her from their sources if things don't work out. DD/DSIL will still be her parents and hopefully she'll turn that corner in the next few months before she reaches adulthood. We all pray for that more than anything -regardless of what it takes.
Hope as the day progresses you do too, Sadie.
