SUNNIER SUNDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

For all who perhaps did not have a stellar Saturday -perhaps Sunday can be a day with more sunshine (in whatever form that may take).

I slept pretty well last night but know when I woke up early, early that dh was out of the bed. Sure he couldn't sleep. As if he didn't already have enough on his mind, the saga with the water is weighing heavily. He was worried after he got in bed that the holding tank may have ruptured.

My nice neat RV is now somewhat in shambles with moving things around and thus no room to put things away that normally would be. :| Just got up about 1/2 hour ago -dh has walked to the store to get the paper- and my BS was low, so am now waiting for that to stabilize.

I really need to do a LOL today. Dh's clothes he was wearing yesterday do stinketh -think he left them outside.

I heard dh bump up the thermostat this morning. Supposed to be 81 today, but the temp in here sure didn't reflect it through the night.

Going to sip my coffee and try to get a move on. Need to get out clothes for church. We didn't go last week so really need to get there today.

I understand the worry upon worry upon worry that Mr. Dee Clutter is dealing with. I can't imagine how upsetting yesterday's event must be.

Weather wise it is sunny here.

Two hours until the showing, but the person hasn't confirmed the time.

Dd and dsil have to be off by 10:15 at the absolute latest to meet their internet installer. So I'll have a few minutes to recover their room before the showing. After the showing, we'll drive over there and help them unload the van. Dd will be cleaning so we might just do an IKEA run (we are buying a kitchen cart for sure and possibly a new table.)

I'm up and having tea and chocolate. Dh is making his breakfast now. Dd is done her shower, ds isn't showering so there's no excuse for me to not go get dressed.

I didn't realize you had an Ikea near you, Kathryn. Love to hit that store -well maybe I did realize it but had forgotten. How's that!?

Beautifully sunny out today. DGS9 isn't racing today as he'll be 'ball boy' for the Rochester Rattlers (Lacrosse). He usually does that when they're here for a home game. He loves it! Has a couple of pro-players that he's become quite good friends with and I can only hope they continue to be good role models.

I'm still sitting here trying to gain the strength & energy to get moving -when all I really want to do is to crawl back into bed.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Looks like a little more rain for us.

Had trouble accessing the site, didn't like my password.

Hugs to Dee.

Lucy Lee maybe you should pick up some extra supplies for Dmil to have on hand, like extra gloves and depends, when caregiver starts on the last package she can let you know. That would give you time to work it into a trip and not have to feel rushed about it.

Another work day here. It's the Friday of my week!

Great day to all!

There aren't a lot of IKEA's in Canada but the one in Ottawa was the first and, for a brief time, the new one was the largest in Canada or North America, can't remember which.

The guy to see the house hasn't shown up.

Dh has decided that since the house is show ready he'll do an open house today.

Not sure what I'm going to do now. I need to go to the apartment to pick up the things I left when we left there upset last night. I need to sleep. And I'd like to check out an excellent home organization store that is nearer to dd than to me and then possibly check out dd's place. I like to see her places before she gets settled so I can see all the work she's done in making it a home.

Dove, waving back to you, too.

Sadie has a good idea, lucylee, for all caregivers. It's good to ask them to be inventory-aware along with other responsibilities. Actually makes their jobs less stressful and keeps family from concern, too. I'm so glad caregiver caught you when she did at grocery. I am the poster child for extra trips to way too many outlets!!! Our mantra as soon as we walk back in from errands is, "Oh, now I know what we forgot!"

Dd and dsil have internet and therefore a phone although the number is still their Waterloo number. It is great to be able to call them, though, and we have virtually free long-distance.

Dh is working on remaking his work bench so it will fit in the closet in the office. That appears to be his line in the sand. Thankfully we moved to a large apartment because I can't imagine this working at any other place we've seen or heard of.

I'm wasting the day so declaring a Sabbath and taking it. Off for a nap first. Might go out for lunch after.

Hi everyone!

Went to my dads yesterday. My brother went on Friday night and stayed over. By the time we got there yesterday (somewhat deliberately) everything was done. The workshop/laundry room was completely cleared out and nothing had to be moved up or down any stairs.

Although my brother was very angry about stuff that had been taken out of the house, his anger was totally directed at my sister. He repeatedly told me how happy he was with all the work that I had done.

This week the cleaners come to "clean every inch" and next week the stager does her thing.

Today I am doing laundry and cleaning up.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Dh just came in & said, "Dee, I think we're blessed". (well of course we know we are) He crawled under the RV & right now sees no insulation hanging down. The guy is back to wax the RV today & dh told him what happened only to make him aware & not happen to someone else. He's mortified, but dh told him not to let it reflect on his bill. He asked for $275 so we made it $300. No way we could do it ourselves any more. Looks great I could add. We got it just 3 years ago so it was needy.
